In a sane world, the individual mental health and families-in-crisis results of the lockdowns/mandates would be front page news, each and every day.
My sister-in-law works as a crisis counselor. Many days, she is shell-shocked. The demand is overwhelming and can’t be satisfied. As a professional, she only relays stories in general terms, and they are heartbreaking. The government induced calamity may end up breaking her spirit forever. These days, she is often in tears when we talk, and she likens her role as a lone person on a beach trying to stop the tide from coming in.
As an aside, she was mandated to ask the vaccination status of her clients – even for Zoom sessions. She stood her ground and refused. They haven’t fired her…..yet.
Universally, politicians failed to perform a cost-benefit analysis in determining what would happen to the young (under 55) and healthy in locking them down, restricting their activities, forcing them to mask. Were there other approaches that could have been taken? Of course. The old, sick and vulnerable could have locked down themselves and been taken care of with programs such as food deliveries and free Netflix.
We were all concerned in the early days, egged on by the Chinese Propaganda Machine. However, the data was clear after 6 months – Healthy, non-elderly were not effected in statistically remarkable numbers.
Regardless, the draconian, liberty restricting, job/business killing approach was taken, and the end result is that a significant percentage of society is experiencing mental health/addiction issues that otherwise would not have existed.
I shed a tear listening to the woman’s story. There are tens-of-thousands more like it across Canada, and yet the media is only seemingly fixated on the unfairness of the #Honk and that one, unidentified guy, likely a plant, that held a Swastika flag on a riverbank.
Criminal negligence- forcing addicts to lockdown. The political class who supported this – essentially all incumbents- should be personally liable.
And the voters who put this scum in power are even worse than the pols.
My son waited a year to finally get into a rehab program. Start date: March 2020. It was cancelled. Thankfully, somehow he managed to beat the 10 year addiction on his own. It was a long 10 years, many tears were shed. Just grateful he did not end up being a statistic.
We should also remember that the largest producer of Fentanyl is the Chicom gov’t, produced industrial scale in gov’t labs.
I truly think this is by design. Every tier of the government’s laser focus on crushing the middle class is well beyond ineptitude, obtuseness or coincidence.
There is no way every health unit in every province is filled with incapable morons. Hubby and I have checked the statistics provided every single day of this pandemic. It never added up. This reaction was always and everyday a grotesque reaction.
That poor mother. My heart is broken for her.

It was difficult to catch the audio towards the end. The best I could capture was it was a civil servant that did not want his face on vid.
I can’t get enough of Viva’s on the ground videos. He is telling a completly different narrative of who these protesters are by allowing them to tell their own stories. As opposed to Mayor Watson’s lies. I cried when I listened to this mother’s story, and it angered me. The callousness of our government.
It has also occurred to me: Since these large crowds have been dancing, and not social distancing, singing and hugging for almost 2 weeks now are the Ottawa hospitals seeing a surge in the wuhan flu??
My guess is Trudeau’s loyal media are calling hospitals daily waiting for the outbreak of cases. You know if was happening it would be the breaking news.

Ford and Trudeau knew deaths like her sons were going to happen. Before this began a study found that a 1% increase in unemployment resulted in a 3% increase of overdoses and 1% increase in suicides. Ford and Trudeau locked at risk people in their homes and gave them money (CERB) to buy drugs. Ford recently said if he could prevent one covid death it was worth it. What about all the deaths from cancelled surgeries, overdoses and suicides? Do they not matter?
The “if it saves just one life” BS. Anyone who makes that statement to justify tyranny needs to go under the axe.

Again, except for the one speech therapist in Florida, their profession has not emerged to protest on behalf of children. The therapist in Florida claims she has seen a 364% increase in children with speech deficits. Speech is foundational to Reading; Reading is foundational to Education. Phonemic skills are foundational to both Reading and Speech. I expect an increase in Reading disabled children due to masking. This has long term consequences for their independence and economic wellbeing. Reading disabled adults make up a disproportionate number of the incarcerated.

I totally relate to the restrictions at AA she was mentioning. Because of the mask requirement and my refusal to wear one of those useless face diapers, I too have been unable to attend a meeting over the last two years. I held on for about 6 months, but I unfortunately relapsed after 5 years of sobriety. The only thing preventing me from total despair/suicide is my faith in Jesus Christ, and the support of my wonderful and long suffering wife.
God help us all.
I haven’t read the John Hopkins study, but I assume the social cost is covered since it found sifting thru those thousands of studies there was a cost that outweighed lockdowns.
