1. It’s way too much to expect any of the current Canadian leadership to step up and be statesmen. Some of them may have an inkling they are on the wrong side of history. Some of them will be looking for a way to extricate, reposition and distance themselves from the botched response. They do have an out, since during the “fog of war”, some of the response was initially defensible. The smarter ones will declare victory over the pandemic and move on, or even cheer for the truckers. If they double down against the emerging science and shifting public opinion, going forward, it will be harder and harder to finesse this and remain in power. That’s the calculation, they will all have to make. The question is, can they save face, and will they change course in time. I do hope that the convoy organizers do have an exit plan.
   In terms of public opinion, one of the grave weaknesses of the government’s and the professional classes’ over reach, is/was the callous, sadistic, and irresponsible treatment of children. I hope the convoy organizers capitalize on this. This is what I bring up, every chance I get.

      1. Keep in mind that nothing is monolithic. It isn’t easy to maintain party discipline over time. Initially the Biden administration looked like they held the catbird seat, but his agenda is losing ground and now Dem pols are running away from him. The fact that Blue Delaware and Blue New Jersey dumped mask mandates signals that the winds are shifting. The sharks are always circling; there are always rivals, watching and waiting. Do you think Trudeau has the smarts to recover the high ground, outmaneuver his rivals, or a vision to sell the public? A good leader is above the fray and his primary skill set is herding cats.

         1. Trudeau doesn’t have the smarts because he’s a lousy leader. Pathological narcissists usually are. They can’t abide a shred of opposition, let alone criticism. Trudeau will either implode or be forced out by his party’s financiers.

      A fluent, direct and calming voice, heard by most of the country, would be golden.

      Just who is capable and steps forward? Would the media allow that to happen?

      Too many grandstanders and partisans currently hold sway, and for the media, they are invested in hate and snobbery. And, while JustInflation appeared to try a little of that yesterday, his words are HOLLOW and Insincere. Those not infatuated with every breath and stutter of Herr Leader, have tuned out the immature sociopathic narcissist.

      Whomever can speak to the country with an inclusive positive message of hope and an exit to Covid and Truckers will have the keys to the kingdom. And whom shall that be? It doesn’t appear to be within the partisan ranks of the LIEBrawls, or the CommieDips, who have discarded the blue collar working class

2. Attorneys general should be arresting these corrupt politicians and charging them criminally. The alternative may be more satisfying to those wielding pointy things however.
   These gutless uniformed officers should have their private residences visited nightly.
