February 2, 2022: Reader Tips

In case you missed it, here’s the remarkable video posted earlier by Kate showing farmers and truckers breaking though the police roadblock to assist the isolated truckers.

In honour of that, and this won’t be the last time we reference this song, please enjoy Truckin’ In The Free World!

Viva Frei has a few thoughts on the Canadian legacy media, as well as Legault’s “magical” change of heart re the no-vax tax. Freedom Girl hands out pizza. Freedom Protesters help a fallen police officer. The GoFundMe campaign is approaching $10 Million! Enjoy a great collection of hilarious trucker memes. h/t Nancy Ross

  1. I had a “Eureka!” moment a few minutes ago.

I just switched on TCM to watch Henry Fonda in Drums Along the Mohawk (a great John Ford flick, by the way) when I was reminded that the movie Four Weddings and a Funeral (which I tried hard to like but thoroughly hated) will be shown on Saturday night.

The main reason I hated it was because of Hugh Grant, who always seemed to play the same British twit character in every movie he’s in. It dawned on me that he was Prinz Dummkopf before Prinz Dummkopf became Prinz Dummkopf. Or is it that Prinz Dummkopf modelled his behaviour after a typical HG character?

      1. Grant played a poof in Maurice, directed by James Ivory and produced by Ismail Merchant.

      1. I’ve found that HG, like Ben Affleck, ruins just about every movie he’s in.

        1. One movie critic — a left-wing critic surprisingly — called Mr. Grant a “man-boy”, given that his characters never seem to grow up into adulthood.

          1. Oh, dear….. I’ve started something…..

Ben Affleck can’t act his way out of a wet paper bag. I saw him in one of his earliest movies, Dazed and Confused (which some people liked to American Graffiti–uh, no, not by a long shot), and, later in his attempt at a Jack Ryan flick, The Sum of All Fears. He was just as bad in both of them.

    1. Woa!!!! SDA Nation…..Watch this and share it! The truckers are taking a gamble – they are trusting that independent news and citizens will spread their message, as they know the MSM is only out for smears.
Please share this and other information with your contacts.
Any thinking person watching these two intelligent men interact would have to be swayed.
      Thanks, Watcher.

    2. Just finished. Superb interview / conversation.
They’re both very intelligent, well informed honey badgers.

At about 10 minutes I saved to my Watch Later folder but ended up finishing it.

I often save these kinds of links and watch them 10 minutes at a time with my morning shave. Some I abandon after a single shave, some I complete over 4-5 shaves, some I finish right after the first shave, which I did here.

  2. All of a sudden the RCMP become aware of part of the canaduh charter of rights. Two years too late.

RCMP said in a press release, adding:

“While the Alberta RCMP has been in a position to conduct enforcement, we have been engaged with protesters at the Coutts border crossing in an effort to find a peaceful and safe resolution for all involved. We thought we had a path to resolution, the protesters eventually chose not to comply.

As of (Tuesday) morning, further action is being taken by the Alberta RCMP as this blockade continues to impede the ability for emergency agencies to provide full services to area residents. It has also negatively impacted the flow of goods and services, and impedes the public’s freedom of movement.

After two years of stay at home, cannot fly, cannot take trains, roadblocks in BC, cannot visit family, the RCMP is concerned with “the public’s freedom of movement.” They cannot even get their lies straight. These morons are going to be easy to beat, and lets hope their low credibility with the public never recovers.

    1. Meh. The public can just “choose” to go elsewhere…problem solve…they are “free” to move elsewhere.

Just like parents can “choose” to pull their grade 1 kid out of school and hone school then if the school decides they are going to force mask wearing.

    2. “…the protesters eventually chose not to comply. “

Huh. Doesn’t sound dictatorial at all now, does it?

      Comply or else, peon!

And, I have a question about the whole full emergency services claim. I know the border is shut down, but there are a couple roads into & out of Coutts aside from Hiway 4. Are they blocked off, as well? The rural area around the town can be serviced by Milk River crews in a pinch, it’s been done before. Wondering if it’s more fear-mongering than anything.

      1. My understanding was the truckers gave a bit and the Mounties did not follow through on their end. Mounties are lying to their presstitute buddies trying to direct the narrative.

    1. Hahaha, the newscaster dares correctly name it the Wuhan virus.

Guess India doesn’t kowtow to Peking like the Trudeau Tam tag-team does.

    1. Uh-huh….. He told us the same malarkey last summer, and look how that turned out.

      End it–now.

      1. Yeppers. I’ll never believe another word that comes out of that lying snake’s mouth. Just like the proverbial dog owner holding a treat in front of him and hiding a piece of lumber behind his back, saying, “Good boy! Come here, Rex! Atta, boy.”

End it. Not today, not tomorrow. Yesterday.

    2. Sounds promising, but when it comes to all those that betrayed freedom: I believe it when I see it. Still, he would not be promising this had it not been for truckers grabbing him by the scrotum (with tweezers)

      1. Jagmeet’s working class people are the unionized ones working at desks in offices.

He won’t support anyone working outside, or doing trades.

And those with a small business? He’ll ‘help’ by making more paperwork for his buddies to do.

    1. “I approve your fighting for my freedom so long as it doesn’t inconvenience me in the least.”

  3. Somewhat ironic choice of song to cover given Neil Young’s embrace of government authority, but that cover and video were awesome.

    1. *
      SPEAKING OF NEIL YOUNG

Never take medical advice from an aging homophobic hippie…

“During the height of the AIDS epidemic, Neil Young attacked the gay community,
suggesting anyone can catch the disease at the grocery store and using a
homophobic slur. ‘You go to a supermarket and you see a faggot behind
the fuckin’ cash register, you don’t want him to handle your potatoes,’

Young said in a 1985 interview with Melody Maker.”

  4. Our current societal has a chronic problem of our politicians issuing too many laws and it’s beyond breaking now.

    https://www.howestreet.com/2022/02/legal-fatigue-is-causing-societal-collapse/

The system itself is plugged so tight, no one knows what to do anymore.
When everything you do is deemed illegal.
Our politicians are NEVER WRONG and as such shifts their failures away from they’re own crimes as they’re above the laws that they’ve created and imposed.

    1. Yep, jojo. They write laws to make the illegal legal. Everything done surrounding the whu who flu has been illegal.

    1. Well thanks David, it’s going to be hard to wipe the smile off my face!
Cancelling the cancellers, gotta love it!

        1. Agreed, unfortunately the suspension is only a couple of weeks, but with her big mouth, I’m sure she’ll manage to fit another foot in.

    2. I’m confused why WG said the Holocaust wasn’t about race. At first I thought she was trying to push the inhumanity angle. But upon reflection I think she subtly meant that only blacks suffer from racism (so Jews can’t because they aren’t black), which is pathetic because she is a black Jew. If I take WG’s brain and try and explain things, blacks can’t be Jews because they’re already black. After all how many races can you be?

  5. How long is going to take for Conservatives to learn how to run a political party?
So many opportunities with Trudeau in power and they choose infighting. They repeatedly pick a leader and immediately start tearing that leader down.
You will never see that in the Liberal fold, Trudeau is a bigger winner with this latest confidence vote for O’Toole no
    matter the outcome.

    Stupidity is hard to support

    1. We can thank Dalton “Night of the Long Knives” Camp for starting that trend. He was the one who began the campaign to oust Diefenbaker, who was succeeded by Stanfield.

    2. The late Dalton Camp hails from New Brunswick, I am ashamed to say, and lived in Jemseg, down river a bit from Fredericton. He was the reddest of the Red Tories, and son Michael worked at the local-yokel CBC as a left-wing CBC Radio producer.

Dalton Camp was a real sleazebag in media or in politics. Here is my favorite story. As a NB Telegraph Journal columnist, back in the 1990s he wrote a column praising a speech by Benard Valcourt, then leader of the opposition Progressive Conservatives in New Brunswick, during a provincial election campaign. But two different people — a Reform Party official and a university government documents librarian — told me independently that Mr. Camp wrote the speech, and wrote the PC election platform, working secretly behind the scenes for the party. I complained to the Telegraph Journal but they laughed me off.

      Sleazy, sleazy.

    3. Well, when Pinky decided to flop around more than a fish on dry land, what do you expect?

He’s a duplicitous scumbag, and revealed himself as a PROUD Liberal in a blue suit.

The CPC is bleeding popularity, Max’ PPC is in the double digits. That gets the attention of the short pants crew at HQ.

      Buhbye Pinky! Get a fork!

  6. Around here we have taught crows not to land by your window and Caw.Usually only takes one lesson, unless you miss.

    1. I live on the seventh floor of my building. I’ve often been visited by some of the local critters.

First, I hear the clinking of their claws as they walk along the balcony. Then they come to my living room window and look in, only to fly off when I get a closer look.

Several years ago, on a quiet Sunday morning, a jay flew from one balcony to another. It ended up two or three floors above me and began screeching. I hoped that the tenants didn’t have a hangover that day.

Even more amusing is that for the past few years, our neighbourhood as been visited by some Canada geese. I’ve seen them on the roofs of some of the buildings in the complex, honking away to let everyone know that they were there. Sometimes, they try to land on someone’s balcony, trying to touch down on the railing. I’ve yet to see one succeed.

    1. Howard Kurtz is a leftist. He tipped his hand shortly after Trump was inaugurated. His weekly Sunday program, Media Buzz, went downhill from there.

  7. Jeff Zucker is Out?! Jeff Zucker is Out?!

Jeff Zucker resigns for a consensual relationship that was not disclosed.
Want to bet everyone knew, but no one dared mention it?

    1. That is pretty cool. Now get the price down to something the average Joe can afford (Koenigsegg isn’t known for that, I bet it’s patented up the wazoo), and get some battery tech about 10x better than we have now, and I’d say we have a winner…by around 2100 A.D.
For now, and the foreseeable future, it’s just a fancy toy for the ultra-rich, like the rest of that company’s products.

    1. Question is: Where DIDN’T they bury an indian.

Enviro Nut Jobs won’t be happy until we’re all dead.

      1. As far as I could figure, they buried their dead where they fell. If the pass area happened to be a seasonal camping ground, it stands to reason that there are a fair few never-marked graves there.

  8. Ottawa Police May Call The Canadian Military In Against The Truckers.
After Allowing Every Kind Of Protest and Defacing of Monuments, taking a knee with BLM, kissing ass with the Pipeline Protestors. They want to call the Military On a Peaceful Protest by Working Class Canadians.
