This evening our thoughts & prayers go out to the noble truckers who are making their way to Ottawa. It should not escape anyone’s attention that 87 years ago a different On-to-Ottawa Trek was held by another group of of disgruntled Canadians. It didn’t end well for them.  For the record, no one is remotely suggesting that the 2022 truckers are “being led by communists” like a professor in the video suggested of the 1935 trekkers!

Given that the current Canadian PM has proven that he has zero wisdom, and that he has already “othered” anyone who dares disagree with him on the topic of mandatory vaccinations, does any reasonable person think that he would pause for a second before unleashing incredible violence on these truckers?

Your most timely tips are much appreciated!

  1. Well, JT might not hesitate, but LEOs and the military might have a second thought or two.

    (And remember, these are not unarmed, pedestrian, protestors. These are guys driving big rig trucks which could “kettle” regular police vehicles and block assorted armored patrol vehicles. Let’s hope that it does not come to that.)

    (Also, remember, January 28th may go down in Canadian history as the day Omicron hit LEOs and soldiers hard leaving them no choice but to isolate for a week at minimum.

      1. He calls anybody he considers beneath him and who disagrees with him “racist”, “misogynist”, and “extremist”. I think we know what his response, if any, will be.

      2. There are even more petty tyrants in control of provincial governments. When the populace of a country is as intellectually bereft as the average Canadian, I do not hold much hope that we will stop the whu who flu insanity without violence from some quarter. People just keep drinking the kool-aid and don’t believe it is killing them.
        Everything that governments have done and we have bowed down to is destroying our lives, families, businesses, freedom. I know I am not the only one who understands the big lie.

        1. Ideologues like Trudy are not capable of seeing more than one monolithic issue. At this point all he sees is “Covid, covid, covid.” The unspeakable damage the covid policies are causing are nothing to him. Neither are the ineffectual results of those policies. He is St George in his own mind, slaying an imaginary dragon. Being practical, and weighing more than one issue to find the best course, are simply not things he is capable of doing. The obsession with abandoning fossil fuels, regardless of real world consequences, is another example. SDA readers can no doubt think of several others.

        2. New Brunswick’s ostensible progressive CONSERVATIVE Premier/Irving employee did his best impression of that well known conservative French Premier Macron by promising to make life difficult for the ungene therapied.

          He of course was upstaged by Librano NB Capo Dom Leblanc(former and current Jughead Trudeau babysitter), who declared the ungene therapied should have to have anal swabs on a daily basis.

          Unsurprisingly, the Liberal subsidized, Billionaire Irving-owned NB Media and all political parties completely agreed that the new Papers Please society was indeed pleasing.

    2. Not a good idea to totally alienate the people who transport the food and fuel to market. A city without supplies might stimulate the rest of the good citizens to get involved.

        1. He’s not the first megalomaniac to inherit supreme power. The story doesn’t always end well for them.

          2. I’m a realist, (remember Sir Humpy “a pessimist is what an optimist calls a realist”), but really, you’re taking sensible pessimism and pummelling it into defeatism.

            Even the Emperor Justinian, (for whom Junior was named), came this close to losing everything during a riot in Constantinople. Had it not been for his prostitute wife, Theodora, (Sophia was another Empress, but not Justinian’s), he would have just run away. I doubt Sophie would have the resolution of Theodora. She and Junior are both WEAK and cowards at heart.

        In response to the idea that Junior is invulnerable, the folks that put him into that position, and i don’t mean his own constituents, will remove him just as easily if he interferes with the money making. All those containers from China? How do you think they get from the ships to their destinations? Yes, some are directly loaded onto trains, but at some point they need to do the intermodal thing and onto trucks. Nobody at the pointy end of the stick is going to let the little shit piss in the soup…and over what incredibly important principle? Vaccines that now officially have been demonstrated to be not only useless but in fact are a large part of the problem?

  2. This convoy is increasing exponentially. Who can even guess how many will show up in Ottawa. There are numerous posts of thousands of US truckers joining the convoy. It is already over 80 km long, and they haven’t reached Manitoba!!!!

    1. You can follow along with the truck convoy. They are using Zello app under “Convoy to ottawa”
      Zello is like a walkie talkie or a CB radio.
      Truckers from the US are following and there are 1200 trucks from SC and another 800 from Georgia on the way.
      One group on the way to Regina is saying they are 110 km long. Another group is 10+ km
      If they can’t cross the they will setup blockades…
      Kids are calling in to support the truckers. Its worth a listen.

        Blockades will be happening south of the border if the truckers can’t cross.

      2. I am happy to hear that Americans are joining in. Next treck: Washington. Rex Murphy is right. Millions of Canadians are completely fed up with all “health officials”, do-gooder politicians, excessive regulators/taxes and attacks on our freedom and life!

        Open the borders now. It is not just truckers … gofundme 4 million! That is huge! It is everyone except vaxed fraidy cats who should self-isolate.

      3. Don’t have that app, but at 07:30 the convoy has just hit Quáppelle on #1 heading east, there are a shitload of them. Even though there are very people in rural sask many intersections have cars of supporters.

    2. John Batchelor recently interviewed someone who commented upon the situation in Tonga after the recent volcanic eruption. Undersea cables were cut, isolating the country by that means.

      Apparently, someone there suggested that, maybe, amateur radio wasn’t so antiquated, after all. If something should happen near Ireland, hams there may be quite busy until communications are restored.

      2. Gov’t can jam ham radio. They did recently in Cuba when the population had indicated they were through with communism. Hams in Cuba had been communicating amongst themselves and getting word out, but suddenly blocked by high power jamming across all bands.

        1. I’m skeptical of your statement, considering what parts of the spectrum have been allocated to amateur radio. Even if it were possible to completely jam a given ham band, services adjacent to those frequencies would likely be affected. I’m sure commercial and government interests would not appreciate having their radio signals disrupted.

          In addition, it would be a waste of resources, considering that amateur signals are at most, legally, 1500 Watts. That’s the same amount of power that an electric kettle uses. Jamming an amateur radio frequency would be the equivalent of nuking a fly.

          Mind you, when I was an active shortwave listener nearly 40 years ago, we often had to deal with Soviet over-the-horizon radar signals. They usually consisted of low-frequency pulses, thereby earning the source the nickname “Woodpecker”. They were sporadic and more of a nuisance than anything else.

          However, a number of manufacturers took the matter seriously and produced equipment that could filter out those signals.

          Radio amateurs can be quite resourceful. There are a number of digital signal modes that are designed for high-noise environments, so that one can still receive them, even when propagation conditions are poor. (Some of them were developed by Nobel Prize winner Dr. Joe Taylor K1JT.)

          If anything, jammers concentrate on broadcasters. I’ve heard Chinese firedrake music being played on the shortwave frequencies of the evangelical station Voice of Hope.

    2. We had a good run for the past few weeks, often referred to as the Santa Claus rally. It’s traditional that it eventually peters out, often with a sell-off as investors take profits.

      In addition, it’s coming up to income tax time. Many investors are adjusting their portfolios, particularly since the end of next month is the deadline for RRSP contributions, at least here in Canada.

      What’s happened the past few days is hardly the sign of an impending apocalypse (and, yes, one could be in the offing). Many long-time investors would consider it normal.

  9. Been thinking about how best to make this trucker rally have the highest impact.

    It would be awesome to see a whole group of the trucks also scoot up to Justin’s cottage and completely cut off his vacation home. Blow thru security and cover every inch of road and even the helipad with Big Rigs. Park the rigs and get a lift back to town. Take the keys with them too. Nobody gets in or out. That will make them have to work to free up area.

    Make the Lil Tater sweat.

      Cancel the convoy and have truckers just call in sick for the next ten days.

    3. They should surround Parliament Hill and Justin’s house with semi trailers, back to back 3 deep and leave them there. Arrange it so that there is no way to get in or out without having to go under them.

      If they arranged 3000+ trailers (spit balling here) in the proper configuration it would take a very long time to get them removed but not long to put in. On top of that, all of the truckers that would be hired to remove them, would refuse. Then maybe they would get the message.

      Just a thought.

    My prediction — Trudeau will thrive, O’Toole will ineffectually linger, Singh will quietly rock his little one until this all blows over. We might get another fall election as O’Toole tanks.

    Biden is following the Trudeau strategy, covid fades into Ukraine into the midterms. Putin will get his gas pipeline to Germany turned on and Nato stops expanding. Russia isn’t America, he can’t keep that Army in the field too long.
