Why this blog?
Until this moment I have been forced to listen while media and politicians alike have told me "what Canadians think". In all that time they never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

Stolen bike, damn, I hope the owner’s insurance costs did not go up too much.
Perfect pick for the roadkill diaries.
Covid and jab status of all involved?
The police helicopter was socially distanced.
Which reminds me that police pursuits have been all but eliminated in my woke State. Because it is “safer” to let criminals go free. So … everyone can now flee the police … you’ll easily make your getaway. Now, I predict helicopter “surveillance” will also be eliminated. Because criminals have rights too … while engaged in criminal activity.
Yikes.
That is all.
Too bad about the car. Hit like that totals those small unibodies.
I just hope the driver and any passengers in the car are not hurt.
F the scofflaw
Thief gets what’s coming to him. Too bad the motorist and the rightful owners motorcycle had to get caught up in his lesson.
Well Kate, this blog is subtitled “The Roadkill Diaries”
Just living up to it’s name I guess…
The motorcycle thief was like a small dead animal … in fact, I much more like small animal vermin than criminals,
A sad ending but ya gotta love Amazon’s commitment to on time deliveries.

The last thing that went through his mind was his asshole.

Pretty sure that left a mark.
With respect, he’s only a Darwin Award nominee if he hasn’t successfully spawned yet. If he has spawn, he’s not eligible, as he’s thus passed his inferior genes onto the next generation.
Oof. He almost vaporized himself. (Whoops, I gendered him)
That was rather abrupt.
Was he black?
The helicopter pilot white?
Could be some riots, looting and defund the police on the way.
It seems odd that the news report made no mention of the condition of the occupants of the car that was hit by the motorcyclist.
Because it was live a broadcast. They wouldn’t know.
What? The gov’t mandated helmet didn’t save him? Shocka…
And, before some of you get on your high horse about mandatory helmets (and seatbelts!), where are you on mandatory “vaxxes”? SSDD.
BTW, I have none, zero, sympathy for idiots like that. 130 mph in an urban setting? Darwinism, indeed.
One of my good friends Dan, was riding his motorbike in the heat of summer on the 4 lane Harvey Ave in Kelowna, heading east just before Richter Street.
He was in shorts, t-shirt, and runners, going the 60km speed limit as he approached the green light, in the right hand curb lane.
The elderly lady coming west abruptly made a left hand turn in front of him, oblivious that there was a motorcycle carrying through the intersection. Dan had nowhere to go, but hit the brakes, sort of. He knew he was dead, so he pushed up with his feet on the riding pegs like he was going to stand. The bike made impact with the passenger door, dead on.
As he had braced for impact, his arms straightened, his upper motion thrusting him up and over the handle bars like he was doing a gymnastic vault jump.
He said it was slow motion (Matix bullet flying scene), as he flew though the air in the world’s longest, slow-rotation flip. Well past intersection he made impact with the hot blacktop, his heels first, in an almost 45 degree angle. His momentum careened him forward, he bounced up, taking one, then a second giant step.
He stopped, standing like he had just stepped off the sidewalk onto the road.
Dan said he was standing on the street, looking around, unable to grasp the fact that he was not dead, the only pain he felt was his wrists and arms from the impact as he launched over the handlebars and the car.
He just casually walked back to the accident scene to see his totalled bike buried into the side of the car.
We laugh about that, he thanks God that there were angels their that day!!
