  1. Holy Strawman Batman!

The data shows clearly that vaccines reduced transmission for variants up until omicron.
Mutations were always known to be something that could reduce the effectiveness of the vaccines.
Updates to the vaccines will be needed to deal with variants just like the flu vaccine is updated every year.
This is no surprise to anyone.

None these facts vindicate the nihilist morons whining about every public health measure from the beginning.
All it does is show that a broken clock is right twice a day.

    1. Pssst … the vaccines are not “real” vaccines. Real vaccines actually work. These supposed coronavirus “vaccines” haven’t demonstrably accomplished anything. The infection numbers have risen and fallen in perfect sequence with all other natural epidemics. The vaccines haven’t made a dent in those cycles. Don’t be willfully ignorant.

Funny … the John Birchers saw a Commie hiding in every corner of America, and the LA Times mocked their paranoia. Now the LA Times sees a John Bircher hiding in every Trump supporter née … every truth and freedom lover. It’s my turn to mock the LA Times as paranoid LOSERS.

      1. the John Birchers saw a Commie hiding in every corner of America

And they turned out to be right, didn’t they?

        1. Well … the Communists are in pretty well full control of the US now …
So, yeah … My card-carrying John Bircher father was right …

    2. Not so fast TimG. You cannot just make an unsupported statement like that. The not-a-vaccine is a one-trick pony, at best. A scam certainly. You either forget, or deliberately ignore, how it was sold to us. Don’t re-write history. It was to be the only way to herd immunity (natural immunity being ignored). It did next to nothing. Rather than being perpetually injected with new experimental drugs, how about letting the immun system do its job.

    3. Bzzzzzzzt. Incorrect, as usual.

The so-called vaxxes deteriorate in “effectiveness”, resulting over time, in making the injected victims MORE susceptible to catching Covid. It’s called Negative Effectiveness.

Thanks pretty fucked up. If the next variant is much worse, the vexxed are in deadly trouble. And that’s without mentioning the susceptibility to cancer, thanks to the vexx having an action in its mechanism that tells the immune system to “turn off” as the mRNA is doing its deadly replication in the body.

Oh well, only between 30,000 and 100,000 have died from vaxx injection. Pretty soon one is looking at a lot of deaths, sooner or later, right bud?

      1. Because the ‘vaccinated’ are even more susceptible to a virus now…
The worry now is the next ‘Booster’ will kill you on the spot.
It would be more difficult to cover that one up. When your Vaccination site is full of people keeling over on the spot.

So the excuse now is the rest of the world isn’t vaccinated and we’d just keep bouncing the virus spread back and forth.
But thank God you got the shot or Covid would have killed you if you hadn’t.

    4. Anyone who actually uses therapeutic products on a large scale to control biological organisms is very aware of the following: If you use just one product exclusively, over-use it and use it in circumstances in which it is only partially effective, you have created the perfect conditions for driving the development of Resistance.

We have known this about antibiotics, chemical controls for plants and animals, biological controls and VACCINES for decades. Omicron is the inevitable result of one of the worst cases of therapeutic product mismanagement in the last fifty years.

      You have no idea.

Not only have the vaccines been treated as though the intent was to CREATE Omicron (and Delta) but it has been observed asymptomatic vaccinated people are infectious to a degree far beyond that of asymptomatic-unvaccinated or recovered people.
Mass-vaccination has CREATED super-spreaders by reducing the very thing that normally distinguishes infectious people – symptoms.

    5. Tim….
As people who know how to do maths have pointed out, the reduction in transmissibility that you are crowing about is so minor that it has no real-world benefits.

As data from around the world has demonstrated in repeated published studirs , Covid infection rates show no correlation to vaccination rates. (Neither do they correlate with lickdown timing or severity, but that is another argument.)

Try talking on a subject that you actually understand, instead of parroting propaganda.

    6. Just out of curiosity Timmy, could you list those “public health measures” that you have opposed?

    7. “The data shows clearly that vaccines reduced transmission for variants up until omicron.”
What data? The data seems to be all over the place. Did cases go down after the introduction of the vaccine many places? Yes, they did. Could seasonality be a fact? Yes, it could be. Did deaths go up in many places after the introduction of the vaccines? You bet, they did! Could the vaccines be a factor? Yes, they could.

    8. You mean like the influenza vaccine mandates we have each year, and masking every winter? Give your collectivist head a shake.
An ideology that promotes the “withering away” of government instead takes us to tyrannical despotism. What could go wrong?
We can trust the experts who’ve been wrong all along. Odds are they’re right this time, so probably no need for concentration camps.
In BC, is 3 people dying yesterday with/of covid, in nursing homes justification for jettisoning liberty, utility going the wrong way?
We’re to believe health clubs, as poor spreaders of the disease, along with restaurants and bars, must be closed immediately?

Except for wine tasting events of course. https://www.keremeosreview.com/news/similkameen-winery-co-owned-by-dr-bonnie-henry/

And suicides, overdoses, lost jobs, lost businesses, lost hope, or lost productivity, or freedom of choice over our bodies over nebulous notions of societal good, when none can be proven, when the measures don’t show success, and public support is no longer strong?

But you can infect poor grannie, except you always could and will. The ignorance of not understanding a self-protective therapy like an unproven and still experimental vaccine is world’s apart from “protecting” society, more akin to influenza vaccines and personal habits continues to bemuse me, how we hand our freedom away over invalid memes and clichés, all of the “statistics” fully and finally revealed to be nothing but raw data, so GIGO, with no breakdown of hospitalizations and deaths between with covid or positive tests.

Because it would reveal a massive risk management and cost benefit failure? Is it too hard to measure? Huh? Who had pneumonia?
We’ve been lied to from day one with the cases shiny thing shoved down our throats and hopefully we’re not going to take it anymore.

  2. Relax, the fauxcines will work against something, with all that toxicity. They just haven’t quite perfected the disease that the fauxcines will combat successfully yet. But gain of function, give this time. China wasn’t built in a day.

  3. The only conspiracy theories that can be safely dismissed out of hand are the ones repeated with a straight face by correspondents of North American newspapers.

The world is ruled by immensely rich psychopaths who want more than anything else to destroy western civilization and replace it with something more to their liking. But please, tell us again how Putin and Netanyahu thrust Trump into the White House.

  4. The shit shots don’t work. The don’t mitigate illness they make things worse. Research proves that.

  5. There are commies everywhere.
A lot of neo-Marxists don’t even realize they’re fricken commies.
A lot of Leftys in the US (and Chinada) are bigger commies than a lot of Chinese people.
The “education” system is the communist’s foundation and that’s why dick-cheese associate teaching professor who wrote the piece is attacking.
Birchers may have been “paranoid” but only because the theory was fact and the conspiracy the truth.

  6. The most hilarious thing on that LA Times page is right above the sign-up for their weekly newsletter.

It claims to be “The cure for the common opinion”.

Is there something wrong with the common opinion, once called common sense?

    Geezus these progs.

    1. …and to add: If you listen closely you can actually hear the ratchet clicking as the Overton Window shifts left a little bit more. I guess that’s what they mean by “cure for the common opinion” – they remove these topics from the realm of reasonable discussion.
