  1. As if I needed more reasons to hate environmentalists with all the power of the dark side.

    1. Canada’s switch over from industrialization to global supply dependence has made any future promises pipe dreams as the China industrial supply chain is hopelessly shattered by high shipping costs. The supply distribution and disruptions have made any type of products impossible to be created, and shipped for 3 years as the backlog on these increasing delays have caused.
Don’t think that Canada is at the top of a worldwide shipping supply list.
Note, see more housing disruptions and vehicles as supply and proper parts are more scarce.
Our politicians order sheet for switch over to electric vehicles is MASSIVE and IMPOSSIBLE as many of these projects are still in the concept stage and any real vehicles electric have many recalls or straight manufacturers not responsible for what your buying to to fires that can really cause structural damages if parked in vulnerable areas.

      1. Propane vehicles were banned from underground parking and when the first Tesla goes up in flames and takes a large condominium or office building with it, electric vehicles will be banned from parking under a roof. Then it’s game over for the electric, self-starting barbeques. Once the battery ignites, it’s all over. Remember that for future reference.

        1. Resident in my condo owns two Teslas and they are parked, with their high capacity charging station, in the parking garage right underneath the natural gas lines that feed the building on the ceiling.

I am just waiting and hoping.

        2. Before you buy that hydrogen fuel-cell car, be sure there is a re-fill station nearby capable of giving you a 10,000 PSI refill other wise your range may suffer.

Pump It Up: We Refuel a Hydrogen Fuel-Cell Vehicle

Now, at this point, just how long you get to sit back and relax after connecting everything depends on a few things: how much pressure the vehicle’s tank is designed to handle—the Equinox’s can handle up to 10,000 psi, and the FCX Clarity’s takes 5000 psi—and the type of pump you’ve pulled up to. Just as the automobile industry is transitioning to 10,000-psi storage tanks, so is the fueling industry trying to make the jump. At this point, refueling can take anywhere between five minutes and an eternity.

With the West L.A. Shell station being one of the 5000-psi facilities, its pump could fill only about two-thirds of the Equinox’s 10,000-psi tanks, a process that requires some 10 minutes. . . (more)

Then be sure not to park your hydrogen bomb with the tank filled to 10,000 PSI next to a Tesla.

      2. The goal isn’t to replace ICE vehicles. It is to reduce and limit the number of vehicles period. To intent is to restrict our mobility. EVs will be available to the elites and the few social credit worthy. In any event you won’t own a vehicle and you will be happy. Tough bananas if you choose not to live in the hive.

TPTB don’t want the unwashed flitting about without their knowledge and permission. After all you could be massing for an insurrection.

        1. How difficult will it be to deny access to a “supercharging” station when the government determines you are on an “illegally” long trip? A very simple program to DENY service

          1. How difficult will it be to access a “supercharging” station after an un”vaxxed” deplorable has backed up to it with his ICE pickup truck, wrapped a logging chain around it & pulled it off the foundation?

        2. Cars equal freedom.
Statists and collectivists don’t like that.
You need to be dependent on public transport.

        3. Chrysler just announced it will produce ONLY electric vehicles by 2028.

We have a 2015 Town & Country van, bought new, which has been/still is a really good vehicle. The last Chrysler we will ever buy.

    2. YES, I am with you on that………….why should we be subsidizing their idiotic E Vehicles? You want a battery operated vehicle, then just go out and buy one, but you shouldn’t expect us to pay a % of it? That makes absolutely NO SENSE, but it does get the Govt VOTES…………and after all, the Gvt is here to HELP US……….what a crock of BS

  2. You will walk and be happy our government policies still allows you to have legs.
Next policies come for whatever left of your body.
    We OWN YOU ALL!

    1. As George Harrison wrote in Taxman…
“If you drive a car, we’ll tax the street. If you take a walk, we’ll tax your feet.”

      1. It’s so funny when young multi-millionaires get exposed to the TRUTH about the progressive tax rates which abscond with > HALF your earnings! Keep writing those hit songs, lads! A pre-Thatcher England is so grateful for the ££££££

  3. Add Ontario’s debt load — about $27 million per capita — and we must be close to world leaders.

      1. d’oh, I meant $27000! But that makes a total of $50000 per person. Somehow, I don’t feel any better.

  4. Blew through tax base, check.
    Max out credit limit, check.
Got the BoC to print the currency to the point that none of the currency traders or the creditors want it, check.
They have run out of other peoples money.
Anyone want a guess at what happens when one of those creditors sees an advantage by demanding debt repayment like before the end of the fiscal year?

      1. In the event that isn’t sarcasm.
Lot of good that would do when the creditor asks for repayment in something other than Canadian dollars.
Becomes a trend among currency traders at that moment to avoid trading in a currency no one wants in exchange for goods and services, or debt payment.
That leaves payment in hard assets, like crown lands and crown corporations.
The unionized staff at those corporations should be worried about their future.
By the way, if I’m not mistaken isn’t CBC a crown corp?

        1. Yeah, but who would buy the CBC?
You’d likely have to pay a hefty Toxic Waste Disposal Fee to get rid of it.

          1. I would. I make this standing offer to the Government and People of Canada: I’ll give you $1 (U.S.) for the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation. For that I get all assets and take on all liabilities … and will promptly cease operations, fire everyone, auction all equipment and real estate and declare personal bankruptcy.

    1. but, but, BUT, TrueDOPE said “The budget will balance itself”, so it MUST happen.

    1. Marc, I used to be very skeptical of the whole crypto thing, until the simulated plandemic. My brother-in-law started studying bitcoin (foundational white papers, technology, etc.) and his explanations opened my eyes. We had some soon-to-be-worthless $CAN which was not invested in the financial market, so we started to poke around. Now, After about 18 months since we started, we’ve got our hardware wallets and are ready to start “playing bank”. In today’s climate, I am of the very firm opinion that having some assets in crypto is essential.

  5. I just bought another whack of USD. Not that it is any better but at least safer. How long before we get Erdoganed where we are not allowed to switch to USD?

  6. You mean that the GREEN NEW JOBS!! won’t suddenly appear and finance this?

    Voters are idiots.

    1. Our politicians have made any type of investment into any Canadian Industry toxic by massive amounts of restrictions and regulations back by hefty fines or closure for any infractions of these rules.
That’s before years of site development approval through many government agencies.
Far easier and less costly to import what you can’t make in your own country.
Tree roots from other lands are now an issue too.

How much government fines could your business survive before even Covid restrictions are now added…
Our politicians hate us for not working and make laws impossible to work without following every single step and government authority.

    2. My so-called financial advisor (I shouldn’t be mean to him, though. We’ve made good money together) is very excited by the prospect of the new green jobs and economy. This time I gave him the advice: keep our stash away from those…

  7. I noticed that the advocates for the new tax on (ICE) SUVs are rent-seeking whores from the E-vehicle business. They already tax the working class to subsidize the rich (who buy Teslas) but that isn’t working fast enough for the greedy crooks. And they wonder why people are against their products.

  8. “On the brink”

Oh well. Should I write an email?
    Put up a white flag?

Ottawa, and Washington, etc are all just places for “Special Interest Groups” to vie for government money where the elected officals ask for kickbacks and where the bureaucrats ensure their salaries & pensions. Its a win win win situation.

The long term plan is get yours while you can because life is short so eat drink and be merry because tomorrow we die.

  9. Maybe our creditors will settle for body parts.
    Lotsa Liberal Body parts.
    Mostly unused,unexercised.
    Brains,never used.
    Arms,used only for grasping.
    Legs,never carries a backbone.
    Head transplants,ears,eyes unused,jaw wore out.

We must separate from our eastern Urban Comrades.
Why are we carrying responsibility for massive overspending, waste and idiocy?
Spent to enrich a zoo of parasites centred in “Lower Canada”.
We now know how low they can go there, the 4th Reich is expanding out of Ottawa and we are responsible for their debt?
Are there many fools left in Taxland who believe they will receive a pension of any value?
Any who believe their disappearing savings will recover?
Anyone still buying”Free Government run healthcare”?
Or the “Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms”?
    How about “Rule of law”?
Is there anything left of Confederated Canada that a sane citizen can support?

    We do not need “Leaders”.
    We need to chose.
And then we will produce leaders to fit the need.
    For politicians are not statesmen.
They leap to the front of parades that are already travelling.
When Buffalo announces a bounty on Presstitutes at least as much as that on coyotes, then I will consider us a nation on the right track.
And the annual hunt on Assault Style Politicians will be a national holiday.
    Retribution is such a beast.

    1. John, you neglected to mention, “emasculated”. Not a single testicle to be found among the lot of ’em.

  10. How Long Does It Take to Charge an Electric Car?

“Use these approximate calculations based on a 240V Level 2 power source and charging capacity, according to the manufacturers’ websites for the following 2021 cars:”

    Chevrolet Volt EV: 10 hours
Nissan Leaf: Up to 11 hours
    Tesla Model S: 12 hours
    Karma GS-6: 4 hours
    Tesla Model 3: 12 hours
Porsche Taycan: Up to 10.5 hours
    Mini SE Hardtop: 4 hours
    Audi E-Tron: 10 hours
    Polestar 2: 8 hours
    BMW i3: 7 hours

    https://www.kbb.com/car-advice/how-long-does-take-charge-electric-car/

That cross-country road trip is going to “take a little longer”. LOL

    1. Cross-country road trips will now be called “land-based cruises with stops at several ports-of-call”

  11. Slightly off topic, but still concerning the Turd. Did anyone catch his presser at noon today (Wednesday)?

He was responding to a “journolist” question about Macron’s “piss them off” comment (in referring to the unvaxed) and basically doubled down on his hateful, fascist rhetoric from his year-end interview on that French talk show.

He said that governments are increasingly frustrated with the unvaxed taking up precious ICU beds in a fragile health care system, and blamed the unvaxed for cancelled surgeries and other medically necessary appointments. He said all this knowing, as we all do, that it’s the VACCINATED that are going to the hospitals this time around, and it’s not because of omicron either.

It’s pretty recent, so I don’t know if there are any video clips, but his previous rants made world-wide news, so I can’t imagine today’s pressor will be any different.

  12. EV manufacturers can’t sell EVs, too costly for the taxpayer to buy.
EV manufacturers want the government to tax the taxpayer on non EV vehicles because they aren’t EVs.
EV manufacturers want the government to subsidize the sale of EVs to the taxpayer.
Another SCAM, take the money out of your left pocket and put it in your right pocket, and then willingly pay the rest to buy the EV.
Screw the rest of us that don’t want, or can’t use an EV……

    1. Jaggy & Justy

  13. Private vehicle ownership is seen as a huge waste of resources. It was explained to me by “industry experts” that a privately owned vehicle sits and does nothing for the majority of its average 13-year life (15+ in the US). It’s also pretty tough to control movement when commoners hold the keys to the means…so to speak. Government, manufacturers and the insurance industry favour a world with autonomous vehicles operating as close to 100% duty as possible…crush em up after several years and build another. Subscription based “ownership” is where things are going…google the term…it’s going to happen. If you think cars are overpriced now…wait another year or so for this planned supply chain breakdown to catch up as the fleet ages out. You’ll be happier than a pig in shit if you wind up actually paying the sticker price…and I’ll bet you a steak dinner that won’t be happening. Once autonomous electric vehicles are a thing…and it won’t be long now…the play will be for the insurance companies to hike rates on the “unsafe” self-drivers that’ll be limping their cars along for as long as they can.

The new ride I bought the missus in 2019 and my 2013 Mustang garage queen are probably the last cars we’ll ever own. Thankfully, I have the know-how and an ultimate set of tools to keep things moving until I’m uninsurable. By that time, I’ll be retired and so out of f**ks that I’ll just tack up the mare whenever I need to go into town for supplies.

  14. Dr. Bronson at the U of S in Political economy said in Canada there is only one tax payer!!!! And that number varies between 33% and 66% of the total population! He would tend to use 50% or about 17 million people!!!
Question to brain Dead Liberals and the Drama star ! How long will it take 17 million to pay back this massive Debt?

Don’t be nervous Justin I know you have no answer book in front of YOU!!!
    THE ANSWER IS EASY NEVER!!!
Do the Liberals care Ha you have to have Brains to care
Let me predict the Future for you Just! Massive inflation and rioting in the streets! Happy New Year You PUTTS!
