    1. Ya think? And let me ask WHO is buying these fancy tents with their rainflaps and whatnot for the “homeless”? When I was a poor college student … and an avid high Sierra hiker … I would have loved to afford a really kewl $350 Kelty or NorthFace tent! Now … “homeless” encampments are filled with them. Something tells me that the leftist-operated REI and NorthFace are getting filthy rich $$$ off the “homeless”.

    1. California has become Mexico. Vast swaths of extreme poverty punctuated by economically-walled-off suburban oases. Yes … there are many, many, “no-go” zones EVERYWHERE throughout CA. The classes do not mix. The cultures do not mix.

    The culture is changing, they are just slightly ahead of out time.

    1. I used to take my whole family to that very location to see the San Francisco Opera perform The Nutcracker each Christmas. That was in the eighties. Now, there is NO WAY I would even consider it.

  12. Well…I can honestly say, there are no TENT cities in Calgary…at least not the past 2 weeks and coming week either.
