Did my annual audit of household expenses yesterday. Groceries were only up $320 for the full year over the previous year, gas was up 49 cents a liter, full year 2021 over full year 2020. Inflation is running real close to 20%, not 4. something or 6. something.
You’re lucky you get a subway stop outside your door – I’ve got to ride my electric bike to the nearest subway stop. Which is kinda awkward when we’re building a deck and I’ve got to tote a couple dozen 16 foot 2×10’s.
Actually the subway I was talking about will probably be the Subway sandwich joint half an hour from my farm. I would be happy just to get the potholes repaired.
Here in Ottawa Center I’m surrounded by dim-wads who voted for this with a fervor.

It’s already been there (or close) for regular here in the Metro Vancouver region. They add a ‘transit surcharge’ of $.10/litre to the mountain of other taxes, mind you. As if the taxes we already pay shouldn’t be sufficient for installing/maintaining a transit system that services all regions therein.
Short term solution.
Make the Liberal Voting Cities,into Provinces in their own right,but limited to their existing boundaries.
Let every wage worker be paid gross wage ( before taxes,fees and levies),let them remit their own payout to “Good Government”.
Make all tax be shown on every purchase..

Gas has already hit $1.65/liter in Victoria. (As of today a bit lower again.) And the new carbon taxes haven’t even kicked in yet. The author needs to keep up.
