University is becoming a sort of irrelevant ghetto now, a place to get a rubber stamp that says “I am a globalist cuck” which might still open a few doors, but if I were a bright high school graduate (as I once was, seems hard to believe now) then I would probably be thinking that a different post-grad experience would be a better choice. Why get that far-left stamp of approval that is all a university degree (outside of a few specialized areas) now represents to the wider world?
This will go on for a while longer until some major universities decide they want to throw off the leftist shackles and return to traditions that used to hold some meaning at least, in a bygone age that we could only hope will perhaps return in some form if sanity ever does return to the public square. We are in any case in the accelerated stages of a vast social decline which will inevitably lead to the fall of most aspects of western civilization, the only question being, will China come out as the big winner, or global Islam, or some new western globalist form of communism-fascism with permanent institutions. They are not entirely compatible with each other so at some point the apparent co-operation among all three will cease to exist.
After I finished my Ph. D., I hoped I might become an engineering professor.
Looking back on all that, as well as what I experienced as a grad student, I’m glad I never did. I’m pretty sure I would have been torn to shreds for not running with the herd. Academe works hard to reject and disdain the real world and I would have tried to hard to remind other professors what it’s like out there.

Earlier, only the tip of the prepuce was chopped.
Reversing it required stretching the remainder: small weights were used.

There are two ways of addressing disagreements on tenets of faith.
One is to expel any and all non-adherents. This is a guarantee of extinction as no human is without spiritual flaws.
The other is to except the short comings of others while still retaining the tenets that the faith is founded on.
In neither case is it advisable to impose an orthodoxy on a belief or non-belief.
God granted the gift of free will and offered a path to spiritual salvation.
You are given a lifetime to demonstrate if you will abide by his rules. If you show that you can’t follow his rules in this world, why should he believe you would in the spiritual world?
My wife and I attended a Florida synagogue during our travels. Most of the bumpers in the parking lot sported Hillary stickers. It was a bad sign. After the service we mixed with the folks and many hearing we were from Canada were leftists. My wife said she intended to vote for Trump. You could have heard a pin drop. Then someone said “Oh my God a Republican Jew. They are the worst.” The conversation then turned to the weather. We left soon afterward.
Jews are a mixed bunch for sure but the Reform and Conservative movements tend to be populated by leftists. I think it is because their Judaism is easy to practice. They can be Saturday Jews and the rest of the time just fit in. Orthodox Jews won’t accept my wife because of me. So we live outside the Jewish community. NonJews never ask what kind of Jews we are. I understand it’s the same in many Christian communities. I think it is part of the human condition.
