They closed down the rifle range at my high school 52 years ago (and rebuilt area as a student lounge). But up to that point army cadet training was mandatory including practice at the indoor range after completion of passing all gun safety programs. It is my belief that the best firearm safety law would be mandatory training in care and use of a firearm. I think that those people marching along while carrying firearms should be applauded for their civic responsibility towards safety.
