Why this blog?
Until this moment I have been forced to listen while media and politicians alike have told me "what Canadians think". In all that time they never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

Well, yes, but going out on a limb here, Canada’s system covers a lot more people.
The bigger the thing is, the tougher it is to administer. Ask the old USSR people how that went. Eventually, “economies of scale” means that you have diminishing efficiency at the upper end…..
Since when is 38 million more than 84 million?
Going out on a limb here, but I’m guessing being able to count isn’t you strong suit.
Shit it’s 38 mill now ?
I remember the days when it was 21 .
I must be getting old.
Its now going up at about one million every 2 years.
Only a million? Didn’t Prinz Dummkopf to import more?
We built a Health bureaucracy not a health care system. If you don’t like the US system as I don’t, then a transformation into a more effective European style delivery is warranted. Surprise, surprise the Europeans have incorporated more private delivery which is sure to piss off our government unions.
Also related, is there any government system that has been effective during the last few years?
The “system” enjoys no competition unlike all the other countries with universal coverage (in the study). In Canada’s version of North Korean health care, one has to leave the country to spend their own money on health care delivery to avoid the waiting times. It encourages the elected sociopaths, bureaucrats, unions, academics and the rest of the institutional left to have a “screw you, our system is so good you must suffer to be equal”. It’s the embodiment of the politics of envy, resentment, and hatred.
There is both public and private health care spending in these countries. There is a lot of private spending in Canada (employer plans, out of pocket).
The socialization of health care uses the boogey man “for profit”. So how can we spend so much and get so little? Who is taking the “profit”? Do you think doctors mind being in short supply? Keeps the fees rolling in. The doctors, hospital administrators, health bureaucrats, nurses, etc. are not doing their jobs for charity. They are all “for profit”. Have they all taken vows of poverty? No.
It is a monopolistic, unionized system.
Customers are not a source of profit, they are an expense. Ration the care (expense). Maximize the taxes (revenue).
The results are what one would expect.
Once upon a time hospitals were run by ward sisters, and doctors now they’re stuffed to the gills with Assistants, and their three Personal Assistants. Bureaucracy and bloated administrative staffing levels are destroying our healthcare system. In a couple years when the full scope of the side effects of half a dozen jabba jabbas will cripple healthcare?
Hopefully the Jabba jabba will have killed off said bureaucracy in the next few years.
Maybe TPTB are finally are doing some good in this world.
“Bureaucracy and bloated administrative staffing levels are destroying our healthcare system.”
This.
Have had numerous conversations w/ nurses in the trenches & the occasional somewhat believable provincial politician (I know, I know) on this very topic. All say the same thing: very top heavy. We can start the haircut by trimming away Hinshaw, the lying, controlling, ugly bitch.
Just another example of how Canada is in fact a kleptocracy.
Some ” Townships ” are more equal than others.
my strategy is to eschew tobacco, questionable practices, spectator sports, copious beer consumption.

crikey, could they not allow say a fraction of the usual number access instead of utterly ZEEEEEERO for better part of a year?
but wese got lots of knowhow regarding pronouns !!!
Remember if you criticize it some people will tell you to move to another country.
“Would that I could, ya CBC pole-shining fuckhole!” is how you answer them.
Your comments always give me a good honest laugh, Buddy. Awesome!
It is called SOCIALISM. I can’t even be bothered to say a damn thing about it. Stupid people apparently love it.
My wife was in Scott and White, Temple, Texas in 1989. Their parking had RV spaces for family. I was shocked at the number of big RV units parked there with Canadian plates.
Apparently the system has long been crappy enough to make the people who have the money to go pay for the help they need to go to where they can get it.
But socialism totally works man.
This virus has exposed the rot we all knew was there.
Now, watch the vaxx snobs blame the unvaccinated lepers over this.
Nothing a 3 year Blue Ribbon panel, issuing a 1,300 page report after a year, with a year of public comment won’t fix.
This, time its different.
