I cannot believe that the governor of Missouri – Mike Parson – could possibly be this stupid. Not only that nobody bothered to tell him you don’t “decode” HTML?

We are headed for full blown idiocracy

For those who don’t get what the reporter did. On your home computer right click any page, “view source”. Congratulations you just “decoded and hacked” HTML.

I can not express how mind numbingly stupid this is. A good analogy would be finding someone’s house keys on the sidewalk and bringing it to them. Instead of trying to be more careful, they threaten you with criminal charges.

    1. The last one is FBI Operation Pakistan (jagt der roten Tiger):

      https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H19xZtipuJQ

It was clear that the franchise had run out of steam by the time the previous one had been made. The writers were running out of ideas and added a few gimmicks to make them culturally “relevant” (e. g., longer hair for the two main characters), plus the fact that many Hollywood movies had the same things.

Oh, well, at least I can say that I saw all of them.

I’ve got lots more movies coming up.

  2. The bureaucracy has been hiring 2nd, 3rd and 4th rate forever. They hire their own, persons who agree with them or will go along. Look at the U of S, totally useless. I like hiring people who are smarter than me – I get wonderful work and makes me look good. Do t care how you identify.

In the bureaucracy ,if you are the right color or gender, you’re in. I’ve worked with everyone, attention white liberals, they don’t need your help, they are competent and damned effective. Pick a group, I’ve worked with them. I’d love for them to work in govt. Trouble is, they don’t go into govt. Who does? The losers. If they are winners, they leave. The ones that are left demand you bow to them, with their best practices, but the competent winners left long ago.

Worse, we elect more of the mediocre to keep them in check. Ohh, look, they’ve been on ten boards? They must be good.

Understand, when institutions want to add to a board, and of course they want color and gender, not skill, they look for those with board experience. Guess what happens, it’s a repeat.

Give me those, any color or gender, that built something, I’ll show you a board that gets shit done.

It’s a simple choice – winners or losers, and we let the losers decide who is in which group. That’s why we’re dying.

And yes, Scott Moe and his entire cabinet can go fuck themselves. Had a chance to stand up, say anything, but . . . Silence. I’ll remember that when they come for you.

    1. Somehow all the losers land in government. Failed at everything else? We have a place for you in government. The revolution is long overdue.

      1. Hear hear.

        We allowed this to grow.

I heard once, no idea where, but if your government has the ability crush one person, it’s too powerful, and needs to be constrained. We’ve gone far past that. We have a gelatinous blob of a bureaucracy, with no elected official to tell them no. We elected other bureaucrats.

      2. I’m reminded of something I read a long time ago. Everyone’s familiar with “Those who can, do. Those who can’t, teach.” Some wag added “Those who can’t teach, administrate.”

I encountered that both as a student and while I was at Armpit College. I’m sure government’s the same way.

    2. I have yet to ask someone new to their position “are you a diversity hire?”, but I’m getting close.

And if they are insulted by that, and by the fact that the boxes they checked to get the job, what are they likely to do about it.

I know, report myself to HR at 8 AM on Monday…

    3. You have described Public Health Officers very accurately. Most could not hold a job outside of government if their lives depended on it.

  3. I have to admit that I’ve never watched Love, American Style because we had only one TV channel while I was growing up in Fort St. John. It was a CBC affiliate and, when it wasn’t receiving the network feed, it showed either locally-made programming or syndicated TV shows.

Then again, I read a lot and, during my last two years of high school, I listened to shortwave stations.

  4. Why is only 30% of the population “fully-vaccinated”?
They have a surprisingly high death count which is why the government has them on a two weeks lockdown.
    https://www.algora.com/Algora_blog/2021/10/23/many-russians-wont-get-vaccinated-a-dog-catcher-explains-why
They learned long ago, not to trust their government.

Unlike our current over 80% compliance rate for Canadians.
This really will have consequences on their health forward.

    1. The “covid” death numbers are false just like the vaxxes are false. All BS all the time.

  5. CTV News slobbers over a rookie NDP MP with kisses — given his (her?, its?) categorization as a “two-spirit” Metis:
    https://www.ctvnews.ca/politics/i-want-to-leave-a-mark-meet-ndp-blake-desjarlais-canada-s-first-openly-two-spirit-mp-1.5634132

An accurate definition of “two-spirit” is hard to come by in this banal world of sexual politics. But one meaning is that it follows aboriginal culture in categorizing certain people as having both male and female sex identifiers.

Note that “two-spirit” was originally meant to replace the now-denounced anthropological term “berdache”, which years ago meant any aboriginal who enjoyed passive sodomy. Got that? Do NOT use the term berdache!

  6. The green slime continues to ooze unabated from every crack and orifice in western society . The NHL’s latest hatchling , the Seattle Kraken play in an asylum called the climate pledge arena . I don’t think even Trudope could outdo that bit of virtue signalling . One more nail in the coffin .

    1. To paraphrase the line from the movie Aliens, nuke it from orbit. That’s the only way to make sure.

    2. Yes, and the suckers at said arena pay $10 for a bottled water, and $16 for a Beer

      It’s symbolic isn’t it?

    1. Is the old corrupt bastard lobbying for a cabinet post? Though, like all here, see screwface as the old corrupt thug that he is, his relatively open poke in Blackie’s eye is amusing.
Why would the Corpse do this, though? A reminder of THEIR power? Time for new and MOAR slush funds? Curious.

  7. CNN (I know, the least trusted name in news) has an interesting time lapse video showing ships in and out of California ports. What interested me was the high number of ships that never move despite new ships coming in and directly docking without waiting. Also, some ships wait and then leave without docking. I wonder if it depends on their cargo, or who owns the ship?

    https://www.cnn.com/2021/10/23/business/20211023-california-ports-animation/index.html

  8. Here is a puzzle that raises more questions than it answers…

    https://www.cnn.com/2021/10/24/world/mammoth-steppe-dna-scn/index.html

“Mammoths and other giant creatures of the Ice Age such as woolly rhinos survived longer than scientists thought, coexisting with humans for tens of thousands years before they vanished for good.”

Why do I immediately think scientists are trying to get “man” (aka native North Americans) off the hook for their extinction?

“Analysis of DNA contained in the soil showed that mammoths were living in mainland Siberia 3,900 years ago — after the Great Pyramid of Giza was built in Egypt and the megaliths of Stonehenge were erected.”

    Here we go…

“extinction came when the last areas of Mammoth Steppe — a unique ecosystem in the Arctic that doesn’t exist today — gave way to peatland as the climate became warmer and wetter.”

So it wasn’t man after all. It was climate change. But hold on…

“Why large, grazing animals such as the mammoth went extinct has been debated for more than a 100 years, Wang said. There are two main theories: Mammoths were hunted to death within centuries of their first contact with humans, or they weren’t able to adapt quickly enough to a rapidly changing climate at the end of the Ice Age.”

“When the climate got wetter and the ice began to melt, it led to the formation of lakes, rivers, and marshes. The ecosystem changed and the biomass of the vegetation reduced and would not have been able to sustain the herds of mammoths,”.

Why would the biomass be reduced as the climate got warm and wetter? Remember we were just coming out of an ice age. The ice was melting and forming lakes, and this reduced the biomass?

“We have shown that climate change, specifically precipitation, directly drives the change in the vegetation — humans had no impact on them at all based on our models.”

So it wasn’t the melting lakes that reduced the biomass but the increase in precipitation. Huh?

“Herridge at the Natural History Museum said more work needs to be done…”.

    Oh, the walk-back.

“In the models used in this paper, she said…”. What models?

“…researchers used the scarce presence of human remains in the archaeological record and the existence of a climate suitable for humankind as a proxy, not DNA. Much finer data is needed to understand whether and when humans and mammoths actually overlapped in these regions.”

So there was no evidence of humans, just a climate suitable for humans. In the final paragraph they admit the study is bullshit.

“Overlap data alone won’t cut it, as it isn’t the last mammoth that matters, it’s working out what drove mammoth numbers down so low that they were reduced to just few isolated and vulnerable populations.”

But the opening paragraph said “coexisting with humans for tens of thousands years before they vanished for good”.

    1. Hey, Steve.

Very interesting stuff. I won’t give CNN a click so thx for the excerpts. I’ll look for it elsewhere.

    2. 3900 years ago would be in the cool period between the Holocene Optimum and the start of the Minoan warm period so the biomass may have been reduced by the relative cool temperatures. However that means having flourished during the ice ages, the 5000 year long hotter Holocene Optimum they were knocked out by lukewarm temperatures (approx1degree warmer than today according to the Greenland ice core data)? It would be interesting to know how the arctic steppe ecosystem evolved during this time although mammoths were a species related to the elephant which lives in the tropics and should have been able to adapt. Hmm, veeeery interesting!

  9. One understand that to some here, Putin is the devil himself. This maybe toxic for some. Anyway, here it is.
They have this thing called Valdai International Discussion Club.
This document if from the office of president of Russia, so you got to weigh that in.
First there is the speech by Putin, then there is questions and answers session by a number of people.
    The topic was foreign policy.

    Published in sections: News, Transcripts
    Publication date: October 21, 2021, 21:25

    http://en.kremlin.ru/events/president/news/66975

Its rather a long story, though it gives you an idea whereof Putin speaks and does.

    1. Very interesting. I think Putin is one of the more thoughtful and intelligent leaders out there:
“Looking at what is happening in a number of Western countries, we are amazed to see the domestic practices, which we, fortunately, have left, I hope, in the distant past. The fight for equality and against discrimination has turned into aggressive dogmatism bordering on absurdity, when the works of the great authors of the past – such as Shakespeare – are no longer taught at schools or universities, because their ideas are believed to be backward. The classics are declared backward and ignorant of the importance of gender or race. In Hollywood memos are distributed about proper storytelling and how many characters of what colour or gender should be in a movie. This is even worse than the agitprop department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union.”

      1. He certainly knows how to pander to a certain degenerate section of the west while driving his country into the ground.

  10. I am reading through the material that World Vision sends to me as we sponsor a child.
    The pamphlet before me states:
“The number of Venezuelans seeking refugee status worldwide has increased by a staggering 8,000% since 2014, according to the UN Refugee Agency”

They were one of the wealthiest countries in the world, what..10 years ago?

Where will we Canadians find refuge when we arrive at our “socialist paradise” destination? Will my grandchildren need “World Vision” to feed and clothe them?

    1. Where will we Canadians find refuge when we arrive at our “socialist paradise” destination?

There’s no hiding place this time.

  11. Ontario to make it easier for immigrants to work in their professions

    https://nationalpost.com/news/canada/ontario-to-make-it-easier-for-immigrants-to-work-in-their-professions

The good news is that Ford is finally getting around to making it easier for immigrants to use their qualifications here. Apparently ALL the other provinces have this closed shop BS, which is really a black mark on Kenney and Pallister, who have been otherwise pretty good on deregulation. The bad news is that this doesn’t seem to apply to healthcare. Nonetheless, I can only hope this is a beginning it would economically and culturally transform Canada.

    1. Engineers have had processes in place to recognize or upgrade foreign credentials for a couple of decades now and, by the number of doctors and teachers, etc., with foreign credentials those professions have processes available also. Interestingly, we don’t blindly accept US engineers as some of their ‘engineering’ schools are the equivalent of our technician schools.
No kudos for Ford pandering when the associations are aware of the problem and are walking the tightrope of being too restrictive and still ensuring qualifications.

  12. Several links in from a post on CitizenFreePress.com
    Primary link: https://www.geertvandenbossche.org/post/why-are-the-current-covid-19-mass-vaccinations-to-be-considered-a-public-health-experiment

lead me to “Why so many Americans are refusing to get vaccinated” at https://docs.google.com/document/d/1AD0lL3Rm4lDExo4q7McBxeeHOqO8bCWWerlGu7YJubQ/edit

Which contained a link to what I think is the strongest argument yet: Pfizer did a 6 month study on vaccine efficacy. All-cause mortality increases with the jab. Death by cardiac event increases 4x in the six-month window. Pages 32-40. Note – all-cause mortality, healthier test group than the general public, but small sample size. More of the vaxed died than the unvaxed.

Apologies if someone has posted these before, they are new to me.

  13. There goes the narrative…
    https://torontosun.com/news/provincial/ontario-reports-370-new-covid-19-cases-one-new-virus-related-death
    ——————-
Ontario is reporting 370 new COVID-19 cases and one more death linked to the virus.
Health Minister Christine Elliott says 247 cases are among people who are not fully vaccinated or have an unknown immunization status.
She says 123 of the latest patients are fully vaccinated.
    ——————-
Lets assume that half of the 247 have at least 1 jab.
    370-(247/2)+123 = 124 not vaccinated.
    370-124=247 = 247 is 66.756756756757% of 370.

66.7% people partially or fully jabbed are positive.
…wonder why they omitted that part.

  14. The Lithuanian Prison Camp. Were Acceptance of the Vaccine Passport Brings You Too.
You become a Prisoner in a camp. The whole country is now a Prison Camp. Doors to enter stores or business’s will not open without your passport. You are mechanically locked out.
At what point will the sheep turn and fight. At what point will you turn and FIGHT.
