I have said for years that the white pimps of the Indian industry (and that certainly includes the Black-faced Spawn in his greatest acting role as PM) suffer from Stockholm Syndrome and holding the nation ceremoniously hostage over the fact that people died in the past and were buried close to residential schools stands as evidence. Inverting apartheid rather than eliminating it will eventually not go over well with only 5 to 6 percent (with greater than or equal to the qualifying 1/16 racial purity) of the nation being its benefactors.

    1. In my neighborhood on one street alone, the homeowner has a “Canadian” flag displayed with aboriginal designs worked into the red stripes, and another one where the red stripes are replaced with rainbow ones. Good thing for them there are no laws about flag desecration here.

  14. Indian grifters are well aware that Liberals ran the show back then and didn’t want to pony up the dough to send the dead kids home. So the sins of our Liberal Party fathers are our sins now I guess. But they know an easy mark when they see one so let them have their pity party.     While biking with the wife I sat down on a bench at the local cenotaph and while reading the names I wondered what they’d think of this current shit show.

    1. If the honoured dead were from WWI and WWII, technically speaking, they fought under the Union Jack, and were also British subjects, as were all “Canadians” until the Citizenship Act of 1947. But of course I get your point.

      Another quibble I have is about the “Indian grifters”. These exist, to be sure. But I reserve most of my contempt for the “non-aboriginal” lawyers and government bureaucrats who make an ill-gotten living as parasites feeding off this contrived and never-ending grievance racket. It’s been going on since at least the 70s. It will never end unless the Mainland Chinese eventually take over.

      2. I get your point as well but I’d bet if you were to ask they would tell you they were “Canadians” first and foremost…not “British subjects” while harvesting wheat in Saskatchewan.
        Just saying.

        1. My “Canadian” ancestors were proud to be “British” and to fight “for King and Empire” in WWI. It’s possible there were even English-heritage wheat harvesters from Saskatchewan that felt the same back in the day. The Mennonites were generally pacifistic so probably within their farms, not so much.

          I don’t say this with any especial pride because I’m not an imperialist and obviously not a Britisher.

          The conscious creation of a separate and distinct “Canadian identity” was originally a federal government initiative, not an organic development. Usually in an attempt to appease Quebec nationalism and anti-British sentiment there, and to promote “home rule” by the local politicians here from the Imperial Parliament.

          1. In Hamilton, Ontario, public schools had the kids sing “God Save the Queen” every morning. That ended in the early 1970s, IIRC.

      This particular flag is at the cenotaph and I have to say I was revolted at the concept.
      Fine, if the local Band wants to fly theirs at 1/2 mast, go for it. But this crap is so disrespectful to ALL the people who served, including a lot of First Nations soldiers.

  26. Offspirng and I went off to Banff yesterday for a day which was – as I have realized – far too energetic for one of my years. Every flag on “federal” land was at half mast; many more flags back up to the top.
