Take This Job And Shove It

It’s not just the Bus Drivers. There’s all sorts of people, in all sorts of jobs, who have been wanting to pull the pin for years already. This will be the final straw for them.

Manitoba facing shortage of school bus drivers, thanks in part to pandemic

BJ Langdon, president of Tony’s Team Transport, says there’s a shortage of school bus drivers, which might make the return to normalcy difficult. While it’s not a new issue, Langdon said, it’s one the pandemic has definitely exacerbated.

“We’ve had drivers who have had health complications in their past, and they’ve basically made it clear that it’s a great part-time job, they love doing it, they love the kids — but the problem is they cannot afford to get sick.

“You can’t blame them — even if they’re vaccinated, they still don’t want this disease, obviously.

All the added hassle is probably a bigger deterrent than anything else. There’s only so many stupid rules people are willing to put up with along side crazy hours and a small paycheck.

Speaking of Paycheck…

LOL…he’s straight up lying. Most I’ve talked to say it’s a shitty job with shitty hours with even shittier pay especially when one considers the responsibility involved. That and you’re driving a tin can filled with pampered street chimps for two or three hours which doesn’t make the job any better.
Start paying them more Mr.Langdon and watch them come back.

That said…there’s always UPS…Purolator or Canada Post.

  2. Have you noticed that, in the song, he keeps saying “if”. He never actually gets around to telling anyone to “Take this job and shove it”.

  3. So, as a Manitoba resident that has one grandchild riding the school bus I will say that there’s a lot more to this story. With the pandemic regulations the school bus has to be loaded in the order of first on last off. So the first pick up, my five year old grandson, had to sit at the very back of the bus and get bounced around down the road. No one could sit with him. Another kindergarten second on got to sit alone across the isle. And so on. At boarding time for the ride home they have to line up socially distanced to load onto the bus, via the way they will get off. One bus driver I know who has driven for years and years had an incident. One of the students that sat closer to the back wasn’t suppose to be on the bus and missed the line up for the loading for home. He let the kid on the bus. Next day he was called to the office and reprimanded. Procedure was to unload the bus from the front to the place where said student sat , line then up, and reload them. He basically put his keys on the desk and said good luck with that. They backed down as they knew there was no one to take his place if he didn’t come back. I have also talked to a few provincial employees today who are very upset with the mandatory vaccines. Rape by needle.

      1. What the fu€ķ are you talking about?

They’ll just bring in a hard working immigrant to take their place !!
        .
Just like I saw with my own eyes and heard with my own ears ,Liberal Cabinet Minister John Manley say to the TV reporters….’If Canadians don’t like Canada’s taxation rate they can just leave the country,…we’ll bring in a hard working immigrant to take your place!!!’

        1. We live in rural Manitoba, not a lot of foreigners willing to move here and freeze their a$$ off. Maybe for a few years until they can get citizenship and move to a bigger centre.

  4. My wife and I were informed today that we will be unemployed as of October after 33 years working for the same company. Our vaccination status was the reason despite being frontline working throughout the pandemic. We are weighing all of our options but at present things are bleak, we live in BC.

    1. Hopefully you did well on your severance payout…otherwise your options should include calling your lawyer. That is…if you were wise enough not to sign anything yet.

        1. You are due the legal severance in BC. You have options, including see a lawyer, and, there’s also the Labour Ministry, but hey, they’re NDP and would probably have your complaint be disappeared.
This will become a huge issue if Groper gets re-elected with his order to Fed employees and regulated industries, and if the CommieNDP does the same in BC to its gov workers.
There’s already a shortage of workers and staff across industries, that type of policy will cripple all work places with less workers, and less people available to fill positions.
Looking forward to my own severance, though any steps toward that is on hold pending Groper’s LOSS

    2. I feel your pain Hugh. I have a nephew who is currently in the same situation as you. Take heart…you aren’t alone.
      That doesn’t pay the bills, I know…

    3. My teen-aged son got his first part-time job yesterday; he starts on Sunday; he will be losing his job in November if he doesn’t get the jab. Instead of gaining experience and starting friendships, he gained insight in discrimination and tyranny. Well done BC! Well done Canada! Anyways, I am working on finding ways to fight this crap.

  5. Drove school bus for several years. Endemic shortages of drivers for many reasons. Main one is we pay garbage collectors more than bus drivers.

  6. The authorities who claim to have all the answers clearly did not think this one through. This is going to be catastrophic. I had an offer at one point to drive a school bus. Glad I did not accept.

A lot of businesses and government agencies are going to lose valuable employees over this. Way more than they think.

Pallister could not care less. Its basically no longer his problem. As far as Roussin goes, he probably thinks its up to someone else to figure out the “details”.

  7. It only takes a reasonably small disruption in the labour supply to create our own Canghanistan. The immediate effect of a few positions lost due to individuals refusing to comply ends up being a significant increase on the demands of the majority that remain. In many situations our work systems have become so specified and individual that taking out a few cogs in the machinery can mean that it doesn’t run at all. Add to this the fact that many of the remaining are highly fearful and may not have a lot of tolerance for an increase in job pressure, you have a potential catastrophe in the making. I work in manufacturing and due to the press on efficiencies in the last couple of decades the depth of field at most key positions is very low and any systemic redundancies that used to exist are basically gone, they were considered waste by the experts and replaced by SOP’s. The sad part is that the effects of this process are primarily picked up by lagging indicators which means it takes a bit of time before the powers that be realize what hit them and they change course.

  8. “All the added hassle is probably a bigger deterrent than anything else. There’s only so many stupid rules people are willing to put up with along side crazy hours and a small paycheck”

That’s it for me. I used to help out coaching a kids sport but now it is such a hassle that it isn’t worth it. Plus, if you get any cold symptoms all these capricious and obscene rules have a negative effect on everyone around you. Every community activity we are involved with is short of volunteers and help cause lots of people have checked out. The policy makers opened Pandora’s box and they don’t even realize it…..

    1. I used to coach junior curling until last year. About a third of our coaches were seniors. Most have probably opted out like me, though not for refusing to be a COVID policeman as I did, but simply because of health concern. The evident susceptibility to disease despite having had the jab will likely mean a lot stay away. Tragic for the kids and for curling. The feardemic is having its unintended consequences.

  9. A bizarre statement all around. Driving a schoolbus and expecting not to catch an illness is like walking through a rainshower and expecting not to get wet.

    1. If you consider the fear porn surrounding Coronavirus, then the “news” has successfully scared people away from volunteering and work that involves a lot of interaction with others. Why? The possibility of getting what some of us consider as no worse than a bad annual flu.

The powers that be have made this bed. Now they get to rest in it.

  10. Qualified substitute teachers will also become a problem. I should know, I was the most requested sub in my school last year, but have been forced into early retirement this year because I do not want the vaccine.

  11. There is a shortage of big rig drivers too. When you attempt to scare everybody to death you will succeed with a lot of people. Trucking companies are down 25% when it comes to drivers. A lot of things are not getting delivered. I saw where they were offering new drivers 85K to start and promising they’d be home at night.

  12. Well, you want to panic people? Then they are going to panic. You are going to, eventually, trigger fight or flight.

Panic means irrational responses to reality.

Once you are convinced that a fake test, that simply gives any result the tester wants, means a death sentence, then quitting your job seems perfectly reasonable to me. I mean, look at the all the absolute fools around here, who talk about the number of cases “EVERY FUCKING MINUTE OF EVERY FUCKING DAY. They are clearly panicked, and irrational. Incapable of seeing reality.

Eventually, panic yields to delusion. Delusion is the respite from the constant panic and anxiety. The safe space.

    1. Well said. I find asking about the death rate panics them more at first, then has a calming effect when they find it’s down to about 1% of all deaths in Canada last week being caused by Covid. It’s surprising to me how many think it’s the leading cause of death.

  13. Hey now, we’ll just get more Africans here. They can’t drive well but at least they drive slowly.
Boy do Canadians ever take a lot of stuff for granted.
    Someone will babysit my spawn
Someone will take them to skool
Someone will edumacate them in skool
Someone will make the poweralways work
The snow will always be plowed
    We need a famine/cull/asteroid/shitstorm war.

  14. ET..yep.!!

Am about to decorate my Truck with a SIGN:

    “Vid Vax.?
    NoThanx
    Nuremeberg Article 6, Sect 1 & 3
    C ya in court”

The HYPE and FEAR Porn over this 2 bit virus was ON PURPOSE – there can be no question.

But I fully believe that at least 80% of our population had some form of partial or Full IMMUNITY from this supposedly “deadly virus”

Witness the 2 Ships (Diamond Princess & USN CVN71), in early 2020 who were for all intents and purposes 100% QUARANTINED.

A total of near ~9500 folks: Of whom ~2000 tested POSITIVE (RT PCR @ ~ 35 cycles.??), for the Vid. Out of that supposed total: 15 Died. Of that total nearly ALL were over the age of 70 and I’d bet on my Mothers Grave, Each and Every one of them had 1 or more Co-Morbidiites.

    some Deadly Virus….eh.?? Complete BULLSHIT

I maintain this entire shit-show was PLANNED yrs ago, the Viral Gene Sequences PATENTED since 2000, with all EFFECTIVE & CHEAP alternative Drugs Fraudulently Trashed….all to persuade the Entire Western hemisphere Population that their “salvation” lay in accepting a Non approved, Non Animal tested Experimental biological agent…..so as to return to some undefined NORMAL.

    “…..cause I wanna travel eh”

The object is and should be BLINDINGLY Obvious for anyone over the age of 60 – It sure as hell is to me.!!

    GENOCIDE Via the VAX.

I CLEARLY recall the many articles Maurice Strong presented during the early ’60’s on de-Population.

  15. My eldest Daughter was told at work today that if she is unvaccinated, she MUST Wear a mask….Like she is the issue.
    FUCKING NAZI BASTARDS

My anger is seething just beneath the surface….
