It’s Canada, you will wait.
Passengers left on planes, sometimes for hours, due to Pearson COVID capacity limits
Sources tell the Sun that passengers from abroad are being forced to languish on planes parked at gates — some reportedly for as long as two to three hours — due to capacity limits inside the customs hall at Toronto Pearson International Airport.

All because of a flu that has a median fatality rate of 0.26%. There is no reason for any of the actions taken surrounding this flu other than people control for political reasons, as in dictatorial communism.
I need to go somewhere..??
It sure as shit wont be on some 200′ congested tube with 350 other Diaper clad Clot Shotted Super Spreaders. Bout the only destination from Calgary actually worth FLYING to would be Puerto Vallharta…. YVR – YYZ – SFX – LAX etc. being on a list @ ~212 & 216th spots of Leftist Shitholes I have zero desire to go to…
I’ll drive thank you kindly- other thing to keep in mind – MANDATORY for Flight Crew to get their Clot shot at least as far as Air Canada, Jazz, W. Jet, Swoop are concerned….so what happens at 35,000 ft when both Pilots develop serious thrombosis due to mini blood clots in an aircraft running on 10-12 psi internal air pressure…??
IEEEE…..
Fk that …. likely forever.
“We have been holding planes and metering passengers since the beginning of the pandemic…”
The metering was the opposite of what’s implied here.
As I recall, passengers from multiple international flights were crowded into snake queues so they could pass each other multiple times for over an hour as CBSA slowly processed passengers.
A family friend just flew in from Europe. She said the Zurich and Frankfurt airports were bustling, just like normal (except that everyone was wearing useless masks). Toronto was a dead zone.
Stay seef!
My in law came into TO from Frankfurt last Saturday. Took 2.5 hours to get through. Then the luggage was on 2 different carousels.
But Canadians would have it no other way, even remaining on a plane with known infected persons (because that won’t cause a problem, I’m sure).
I just returned from a week in Brazil. My arrival into Brazil was handled with remarkable efficiency. I had less than an hour upon landing to make my connecting domestic flight. I picked up my bags, cleared customs, checked my bag on the domestic flight, and got to my next flight all within 25 minutes. And that includes the near 1km walk to the other end of the airport.
Returning to Fort Lauderdale felt like going to a third world country by comparison. Poorly organized, we first had to wait in a holding area with the ambience of a basement, for that’s what it was. Then we were let into the baggage area in groups of 50 because the system couldn’t handle any more. Embarrassing, really.
At Pearson now, waiting for my flight to Europe.
Fairly painless check-in and security.
Flight still on time (but let’s see) – so far so good!
