You can sing the praises of medical experts all you want, but when they offer advice in areas in which they clearly have no expertise, such as engineering and economics, its time to rein them in before its too late.

  1. So … the guy I saw in Home Depot last year, wearing a WWII style gas mask … which I assumed was a political statement about the absurdity of masks … was actually more sciency than Fauxci?

  6. Wow, that’s quite the opinion. All I can say is that if some provinces decide to go this route and can get their citizens to agree then go for it. Let’s see how that works out. Meanwhile, let’s see how Alberta and Saskatchewan’s “let it rip” policy turns out and compare the results after a year.

    I think the big fear is that the “let it rip” policy works. It might show that all the governments had to do from the beginnings was protect the elderly and the unhealthy. If it’s successful then all the lockdowns, all the vaccine bullying, all the fear mongering has been for nothing. A fatal blow to the credibility of politicians, pharmaceutical companies and public health authorities.

    The great fear is that Alberta and Saskatchewan will be successful and after an initial period of increased infection resulting in acquired natural immunity there will be a very low new case rate.

    I remember being in the field at Ft. Bragg, North Carolina on a exercise. In the summer. Its hot. A C-130 flew over at 1,500 ft spraying water in a simulated Biological attack. Maybe nerve agent. The NBC horn sounded and we all ripped into our MOP suits. Think snowmobile suit, green, zippers and flaps, only with a layer of charcoal sewn inbetween. Then the gas masks, rubber gloves, boot covers, duct tape sleeves and ankles.

    Now its really, really hot. Screaming. Mask glass sweating up.

    We had to practice drinking from a straw thing in the mask into the water canteen. Load a magazine into the M-16.
    This went on for 15 minutes.
    We cheated and cracked the masks.
    We were useless in the heat.
    Then the All Clear was given. Everyone was soaked wet and ripped the MOP suits off.
    Horrible.

    NBC mask charcoal filters are only good for a hour, then you swap them out.

  18. Problem with these medical experts is they are actually very good within their field… and nowhere else.
    Many of them are textbook or lab trained and start to see problems as ‘textbook examples’ with ‘textbook solutions’.
    Flaw here is that textbooks are designed to explain concepts. Examples are stripped back to remove complications so that the core concept can be analysed and understood.
    This is how we get ‘experts’ deciding to crush viruses by isolating them until they die – because that is what the textbooks tell them to do in lab (controlled) environments.
    Spoiler – the real world is not a lab. You cannot isolate it. You end up allowing exceptions for essential services, ‘correct’ political protest rallies, and birthday parties and then add in so many loopholes that people go outside anyway and mingle anyway. (cough – bottle shops are essential services – cough).
    In the Real World where we are actually held responsible for our actions (I work in engineering) we are constantly held to Risk Reduction. Risk is a deliberate word as ‘Safe’ only truly happens in rainbows and Liberal Arts courses. If you wrap yourself in cotton wool you can still choke on the wool.
    The cornerstone concept – Your Country May Vary – is As So Far As Is Reasonably Practical. Yes, it is subjective and if you stuff up you still need really good legal arguments, but in basic terms it means that just because you COULD put in a risk reduction doesn’t mean you actually SHOULD.
    Case point, you have an open pit in a construction area. You could put up barriers and inform all workers the pit is there and will be for the next week. Reasonably Practical. Or you could hire armed guards and put in a 50m total exclusion zone. Yes it would reduce the risk of falling into the pit to effectively zero point zero, but is it Reasonably Practical? No.
    That is how you deal with real world problems. You look at the big picture, work out what you are trying to protect against and draw a practical line somewhere. You also don’t have to allow for idiots. If you put up a fence and label it correctly then you don’t have to worry about people climbing over it and hurting themselves because THEY made the choice to ignore your processes and climb your fence. By same logic electrical hazard warnings are placed on the outside of the enclosures, because once you are inside you are either qualified to be working with electricity or have ignored the warnings and opened the box anyway.

    So… who would you rather run your life? ‘Experts’ with careers in research? Or people who actually construct and manage in the real world?

    (to complete my rant, based on my professional upbringing I am COMPLETELY within my rights to question and if required reject The Jab. It is known to cause ‘Adverse Events’ (which can be considered in many cases to be ‘Lost Time From Injury’) and – in my country at least – seem to occur at about 1 in 250. This is high enough to be considered Possible or even Likely and on my Risk Assessment Matrix this gives me a ‘High’ level of risk. “Long term control strategies to be implemented as soon as possible”.
    (So tell me again I MUST get a JAB.)

    1. Yep. In the immortal words of one of my chemists who spent too many years in university research before moving to an industrial setting ” I don’t understand. It worked so well on paper I just don’t understand why it won’t work “, while flapping his papers full of calculations at us. Nothing beats practical experience.

      I’m not an expert on viruses but I can hold my own deciphering scientific jargon. That and a well calibrated bullshit/manipulation detector helped me make my decision to be patient and not take these particular vaccines.

        : No admonishing to take VITAMIN D. Not a peep from these supposed “Experts”

        : Atttempting to BS the masses that a cloth or paper mask is able to prevent ingress/egress of sub-micron particulate.

        : Listening to Dr Judy Mikovits way back in May 2020 on what was REALY happening….her story was too way out there to not even allow someone to DISBELIEVE her…the subsequent TOTAL Deplatforming & Govt harrassment she endured solidified it for me.

        1. I ordered and pre-paid for the good Dr’s book on July 23; they claim they submitted it the next day, July 24 th.

          Still waiting. I called them 3 times to follow up. They said they’d call me when it comes in.

          I also called another branch of the same store, no mention of the other order, and inquired how long orders take, they said that sometimes, generally, orders can take as long as 3 weeks.

          I wonder if they’re giving me the run around? I wish C.O.D. was still en vogue, I ‘d cancel and look elsewhere.

    2. Work in an H2S environment, gas plant, drilling, refinery, field battery, wherever. Where a poor seal or have a lackadaisical attitude will get you killed or seriously brain dead, if someone finds you in time.

      When I see the mask wearers with poorly fitted masks, that are worn day after day without change, won’t stop COVID in any event and not much else as the masks don’t filter COVID sized particles. That’s how effective those masks are …… useless, then watch wearers with gaps out the sides and their glasses are fogged because their breath leaks past their noses, well they’re essentially just a kontrol feature, face diaper, nothing else. And not a one of those “health experts ” on TV demonstrated the proper way to wear a mask, or even recommend a proper mask that will do the job, or even speak on how useless those stupid blue, one size all “masks” actually are, they are criminally derelict in their duty to inform. Every last one of them. I spit on them, even the Cops enforcing the bogus laws enacted, because even they don’t wear proper masks themselves.
