Yeah, what a felon. (sarcasm off)
And how many trees were injured in the process? How many buildings burned? How many highways or railways blockaded? How many viruses sent to other countries in parcel post?
The RCMP are a joke.
Codex – a year earlier in the province next door to this target “shooter” (Nova Scotia), RCMP took 13 hours to locate a guy who killed 22 people.
Is he shooting an airsoft pistol? You can get an airsoft AR-16 that looks identical to the real thing. I have friends who target shoot over a 2 km distance. Would that be considered dangerous by the RCMP? Should my friends take RCMP-sensitivity training?
I know about the incident in Nova Scotia and it proves my point. The RCMP had a lot of information about the shooter, had been warned by others about the shooter and behaved like the Keystone cops, right down to shooting up a fire station on a hunch.
Crime should be measured by amount of harm done to other people or their property as it has been traditionally defined. If you own the tree, own the road, and own the target, and you blow the hell out of it on your own property, and no one else is present, how is that a crime? Trying to prevent the possibility of crime is a fool’s game. Laws protect no one, only punish the violators after their breach (and no, I not against laws, just acknowledging what they in fact do and don’t do).
I practice martial arts. Should my hands, feet, shoulders, knees, elbows, teeth be registered as weapons because I can use all of them to do potential damage, some of it lethal? No, the law relies on me to use common sense and tells me the limits of my activity. BUT… I cannot own two sticks with a rope in between called a nunchaku because too many cops with too few brains and too much authority decided that all of the stuff in American Ninja was preventable through a ban. (By the way, a hammock technically falls within the limits of that definition). I have never committed a violent crime, never stolen the property of another, have no criminal record, had NATO secret level security clearance, but owning a nunchaku is verboten. BUT… I can legally purchase a hunting crossbow with accompanying razor sharp hunting shafts, and fire that same weapon legally within city limits AS long as I don’t kill or main someone else.
All of your points are valid. We don’t know enough to criticize the activity or determine its legality, but then, neither do the RCMP (again, acting like the Stasi and asking people to rat out their neighbors). But in the end, most of the law is described quite aptly by Dickens as an a@@.
Pardon my rant – I am tired of the nanny state.
I could “kill” with a BIC pen, or my walking cane. Should I be “licensed”? People kill other people with Fentanyl, every day. Apparently there’s no “law” to prevent it.
Then there’s that COVID thing.
“Pardon my rant – I am tired of the nanny state.”
Well, it’s only going to get worse with the four left-leaning parties that run this pop stand.
This falls under the category of f–k the rcmp.
SDA is being interfered with. Things are dropping and being blocked at least from my computer. that may mean I am being blocked and monitored by someone. Weird stuff. This is from my laptop my desktop has been interfered with.
I tried to bring up Mike Lindall (my pillow guys) new my store website and received a stern “403 FORBIDDEN” response. Switched my VPN from Canada to the U.S. and it worked fine. Forbidden to buy a pillow from a Trump supporter is now verbotten in CCP Canada.
I get that logging into Bank of Montreal. Change browsers if you do.
PO’ed:
If you run into problems logging in to the BMO Nesbitt Burns site, call the help desk only if absolutely necessary. They’re not the swiftest bunch and, if there’s a problem that they have no answer to, they “promise” to call you back.
Quite a useless bunch, actually.
I cannot use Firefox to log into BMO for some reason at their end … so I moved to TD Visa Cash-Back.
All I used from BMO was their air-miles credit card, but now that flying is impossible for sane people, I don’t need air miles anymore. I’m looking at an RV for future travel.
Agreed VOWG. I’ve had about 10 posts now that the system will not accept. If I start with a line of text, I can sometimes use edits to get the whole message in place. When I get to the URL that the text references, I sometimes get told I cannot edit that post and the entire post (that had been OK up until now, and still has 3 minutes to edit) vanishes. These are usually links to news sites.
So… will one of his fellow Canadians turn him in?
Is he not wearing hearing protection? is that the danger?
Perhaps a suppressor of some sort would help mitigate the problem.
Canada’s federal unionized Liberal police force are right on it.
His careless use? He set up targets on a dirt road! Who knows how many families could come driving down that dirt road at any moment … Right? Families just looking to spend a peaceful weekend in the woods!?
Oh, and he appears to be white. Don’t want any white folk shooting straight when their property gets broken into …
No face diaper – arrest him
Careless use of a firearm is stretching the charge they want to apply.
What they really want is…
Is this person registered to own this restricted firearm and possibly discharging a firearm off the roadway could be the real charge. Which is still stretching the roadway when is more a trail.
They also don’t know if this is private property as well…
If the RCMP don’t know if this is private property, how would they know if this was in Ontario or in Pennsylvania? (for example).
Perhaps the video in question was illegally smuggled over the border, and posted to social media in Canada.
I haven’t seen the video, was there a roadway sign with French on it?
We need tougher laws on video smuggling. The turd is on the case, like stink on shit.
If he had hit the target perfectly….could he be charged with careful use of…..
That’s possession of a restricted fireaarm in a place not authorized to possess it. Pretty stupid to post it online. He should know better. It could be a private restricted range. Many exist in Canada, authorized by the RCMP. If he doesn’t have an RPAL he probably won’t be charged. If he does, he will lose all his guns and probably get jail time. Can you imagine the furor if it was an AR-15?
I can imagine it. I can also imagine a bad guy shooting 22 people on a 2-day rampage if I lived out in the boonies.
I wonder how he got his guns. I wonder how gangbangers in Toronto get their guns. Hunters and target shooters are terrible people. s/
“That’s possession of a restricted fireaarm in a place not authorized to possess it.”
———————————————————————————————————————
And you know this how? From the picture? Not. From the RCMP alert? Not.
Either you’re just assuming that to be the case of you’re making it up, fear mongering in either case.
Unless you actually watched the video and he clearly shows the gun or describes it as illegal. But you didn’t.
Doubtful that “range” is approved under section 29 of the Firearms Act.
One is allowed to shoot a restricted weapon anywhere one is allowed to take it, provided municipal laws allow it.
It’s not necessary for the various levels of government to allow shooting in any place, only for all of them to have prohibited it in that place. But the CFOs have agreed among themselves to give Authority To Transport permits for restricted guns to Approved Ranges, so while you can shoot almost anywhere, you aren’t allowed to take a restricted gun there. Our elected representatives construct laws so our civil “servants” can rule over us.
In Canada it is a crime to discharge a restricted firearm in any place other than an approved range. Restricted firearms are short barrel rifles and handguns. when not being cleaned or at the approved range it must be locked up with two locking devices.
In order to be issued a restricted licence the Canadien needed to pass continues back ground checks by the RCMP and pass a class. The restricted position and aquisition licence holder (rpal) is aware of these laws when they are approved to own these gun legally and agrees to follow them.
Heil Globohomo!
Is it actually a restricted fire arm in that picture?
You took the press release as verbatim fact.
I heard there is someone offering some swampland in Florida you may be interested in.
How do you know the pedigree of the picture?
How do you know it’s what they say it is?
“Is it actually a restricted fire arm in that picture?”
All firearms that are handguns are restricted. That could be a pellet gun or a toy, I suppose. If it is any kind of firearm then it’s restricted (though not necessarily prohibited) in Canada.
I wouldn’t want to test out those vaguely defined laws. In Canada the default is to prosecute you if there’s any gray area at all. I’d stick to standard ranges for which you have an ATT when it comes to restricted.
“The last part of the picture, and the only part that applies only to restricted firearms and prohibited firearms, is s. 17 of the Firearms Act:
Subject to sections 19 and 20, a prohibited firearm or restricted firearm, the holder of the registration certificate for which is an individual, may be possessed only at the dwelling-house of the individual, as recorded in the Canadian Firearms Registry, or at a place authorized by a chief firearms officer.
Note that the place specified is “at the dwelling-house” and not “in the dwelling-house”. The choice of words is important as a place “at the dwelling-house” is broader than a place “in the dwelling-house”. Had Parliament used “in the dwelling-house”, then it would be illegal to go outside one’s dwelling-house (even on an outside porch would be off-limits) with a restricted or prohibited firearm unless one had an Authorization to Transport under s. 19 or an Authorization to Carry under s. 20. However, Parliament chose to say “at the dwelling-house”. This includes the entire property on which the dwelling-house is located, as described by the same legal lot description and the same municipal address. Therefore, assuming all the above requirements are met, it is just as legal to discharge a restricted or prohibited firearm on the property where your dwelling-house is situated as it would be to discharge a non-restricted firearm.”
Not grey, as far as the law is concerned.
That is a bang on mouthful, guilty until you are convicted, no grey area at all.
The law is an ass. This country needs a revolution.
A few years ago Warren Kinsella posted some pictures of he and his girlfriend doing precisely the same thing. He was not charged.
I’ll bet you anything……he’s NOT VACCINATED either!
Doug.
Yes….the Bigger CAPITAL Crime how isn’t it’
I’ve been recently told by my sister that I am not welcome in their home while her son/my nephew, 32, wife and new baby are visiting from overseas.
Typhoid Mary is the assumption….all based on the utter BS of Asymptomatic Transmission.
steakman – you should invite your nephew and his family to YOUR home
steakman , ya know they gots a vax, right. To f-ing bad it don’t work, and to f-king bad the flu isn’t killing all our tormentors.
Thinking men and women are reluctant to take an experimental drug whose definition keeps changing as does it’s reported effects. It’s a dog’s breakfast presented by quasi health-care-commies and power-mad leftist governments.
Mindless drones line up for the jab.
You decide.
It looks like an antique. Legal if so. Points of contention, I suppose. But none of them are worth hearing.
Stupid fascist laws and gesapo doing their usual useless points search.
I was unaware that approved use of a pellet gun was now unapproved.
The media release was not done to inform anyone it was to reinforce an opinion.
You know, trolling.
You know what to do about trolls.
Thank you. You can buy a pellet pistol at your local Cabela’s. Right off the shelf, pay for it and walk out the door. “Ammo”, too. Just don’t wave it around in your City, or discharge the thing in town. That’s “illegal”. Do what this guy has done. As mentioned, it’s a troll photo article poorly written.
People’s dogs have more rights than shooters of any kind and apparently VAXXED folks do now, too. I cheer for the Coyotes that show up on my patio. No mice, voles or cats. Nature at it’s best.
L – The Cult. Marxist long march through the institutions, turning what was once an *esteemed

**9 Rules of Policing into … something her veterans weep for.
*https://www.poetry.com/poem/12635/the-riders-of-the-plains (E.Pauline Johnson-Tekahionawake is her Mohawk name.)
Larry: thanks for the second link. No. 5 of Peel’s principles is the noblest and most important:
“To seek and preserve public favor, not by pandering to public opinion, but by constantly demonstrating absolute impartial service to law, in complete independence of policy, and without regard to the justice or injustice of the substance of individual laws, by ready offering of individual service and friendship to all members of the public without regard to their wealth or social standing, by ready exercise of courtesy and friendly good humor, and by ready offering of individual sacrifice in protecting and preserving life.”
How did that principle get so difficult to understand and to follow? Something to do with the personal becoming the political?
Should not the Rcmp and the paper be excoriated for the gender assumption?
Millions in fines I would think. Not to mention years of sensitivity training.
Oh right, good point Billy!
That gender assumption is an even worse assumption than that he’s committing a firearms crime.
He/she/it should sue.
“…appears to be a restricted firearm in a public space.”
With all that junk around, looks like private property to me.
If its private property belonging to the owner of the restricted weapon, then its most likely legal.
So much for the presumption of innocence.
In Canada, the distinction between “law-abiding gun owner” and “criminal” is defined entirely by a gun-grabbing RCMP, and believed only by cucks.
And Wendy Cukier.
I live in Georgia and did exactly what this guy is doing but with 3 different hand guns on a farm with my 4 kids (12-18) and dear wife. Fun for everybody! What’s careless about what this guy is doing? smh
Well you live in a free-ish place. For now.
What you gotta know is, the police is first and foremost after browny (?) points.
How could they construct anything out if this is amazing and it shows that they have a lot of time on their hands that is empty of work.
Other than that its and easy catch, without problem and a lot of bullshit, which thing they are very well equipped to do.
In fact if it was not for the police, there would be a lot less of newspeak.
Well, that and there is an election in the offing so the media harem girls and the RCMO palace guard have to obey their political masters and pump every gun story that they can.
Dunno, but he looks like Trudeau to me. Should I let the RCMP know?
It’s definitely not Trudeau. If it was he’d be holding a Teddy Bear.
it sure looks like Richard Jarman, the serial complainer to the human Rights Commission.
I’d go with that.
Matter of fact if someone was to you know, suggest strongly to the authorities that it sure looks like him and they may want to call him in for an interview.
Cause well, if he had nothing to hide he should be ok with that.
Right?
It may be an RCMP officer who forgot to comply with a law or regulation.
Look at the guy – it’s TRUMP!
this is a joke, right?….” Police do not believe anyone was injured during the incident.”
What kind of mind not only thinks this….but puts it out there for everyone to see?
Just tell the cops that he was coming back from burning a couple of churches and they will drop the case.
I don’t see anything on the RCMP looking for tips about who burnt the churches.
Maybe they already know who did it.
They might have brought their 1970’s FLQ Barn Burning Unit out of retirement.
Heh, good one. Maybe they are burning churches. Next time you’re pulled over, tell them “Is that wood smoke I smell” when you “interact” with the constabulary. Especially in BC. As far as I’m concerned, after decades dealing with RCMP “out there” they are just another, armed Gang. With better pensions than you. Their “retirement fund” is backstopped with …… retirement residences. Ever heard of Rivera? My own Mother lived her last days in one, before COVID. Paid for by her CPP/OAS. Full circle on the money.
One of my favourite YouTubers. I like his folksy demeanour and he certainly knows his stuff.
Imagine this in Canada. https://youtu.be/rwTEIKWu2SQ?t=10
Every liberal would take a turn on the fainting couch.
He does good work.
Others of note are Paul Harrell and Iraqiveteran8888.
Another good one is FortuneCookie45LC ‘S channel..
Yup. Public enemy number one. But that’s what happens when all the murderers, rapists, and armed robbers are safely locked away.
I’ll tell you one thing, by the time this is over there will be one fellow who will regret his decision to video his target practice session.
Hint to pistol owners: Have a water pistol or low powered pellet gun replica of any hand guns you own.
Yup. Because a pellet handgun with a muzzle velocity over 500fps is just as restricted as a real gun. Canada sucks.
Good luck buying a 500 fps plus pellet gun in Canada. You likely won’t find one. Just don’t import one. Replica guns, likely even pellet pistol versions, are prohibited.
Nanny-state fuckers can eat Wendy Cukier’s dirty poon and the RCMP joke squad should stick to what they’re good at, carrying Nigerian suitcases across the border.
I wonder who took the picture and handed it to the police.
Have they arrested the Yahoos who shot up the fire station last year yet? I would bet they are more of a risk than a guy target shooting on his own land…
also, where’s a link to the video?
Supposedly the picture is from a video being shared across social media. Clearly, it’s not a viral video. Somebody turned it in. All the details remain to be seen. This is deliberate. If they wanted the guy they’d release the video. Voice, movement characteristics, and, more than likely, better facial angles would lead to quicker public recognition. Generally, in a firearm video, the maker is explaining and demonstrating or showing off a weapon. They always look at the camera. I’ll bet either the Canadian Mounting types didn’t like what was said, which is a speech issue, and/or the person clearly demonstrated safety precautions.
Challenge them to release the entire video.
That’ll shut ’em up.
Election coming up soon.
Time for the government funded agencies to heat up the gun grabbers and renew their other bullshit election ‘issues’.
Well, if there’s one thing we’ve all agreed upon, it’s that Canada’s firearms laws are functionally insane.
Then again, laws reflect the temperament of those who craft them, and Canada’s firearms laws were crafted mostly by special interests and their politically-captured representatives in government who are inimitably hostile to anyone who wants to own any firearm anywhere for any reason, period. After all, the entire country’s no more dangerous than downtown Toronto in the fevered fantasies of the hoplophobes, right?
In Toronto there are many shooting ranges. And all of them are in underground parking lots in Scarborough , Jane and Finch and in numerous parts of Etobicoke as well as Eglinton and Keele.
They are all setup at a moments notice whenever non-White gangbangers get in a new shipment of handguns smuggled into Canada by,and sold by, our oh so saintly Aboriginal first immigrants.
The idea of “preventing criminals from having guns” is the biggest pile of bullshit ever, and is the pretext by which everybody is screwed over.
A gun is a tool, just like a shovel or a chainsaw, and should be no harder to acquire.
Just like wearing a mask. Got that?
It should also be pointed out, that Perth-Andover NB is almost as rural as it gets in New Brunswick. Population is listed as 1,590 on Wiki and it’s roughly halfway between Grand Falls (pop 5300’ish) and Florenceville (pop 1600’ish).
This is about as far away from an urban illegal gun owner as you can get. But that’s Canadian police for you. Go looking for gangbangers in undesirable neighborhoods? Nah bro, too hard. We might even get shot. Let’s head to the woods and arrest us some rednecks target shooting!
Respect is something that is earned and the police no longer have it.
I like the juxtaposition in the BS content of this post, compared to the Newsome Nirvana post above it.
Los Angeles — beat, rob, steal your car. No one will bring the perpetrators to justice.
Deep in the woods of rural New Brunswick — the cops will spare no effort in bringing a target shooter to his knees. And you can bet that if they find him, that’s exactly where he will find himself.
Spit!
The reason I never pack a pistol on the farm has something to do with a 3 year minimum sentence for white people carrying a restricted firearm. That seems to have been punted by a court.
“Police and paramedics arrived to find Najdi in the lobby of the building. He was taken to hospital in critical condition, underwent surgery and then was listed as stable.
Najdi was charged with attempted murder and firearms offences in April 2019 for shooting the older brother of the man police charged as the triggerman in Najdi’s brother’s fatal shooting in January 2016.”
This from the article I posted above…do you think he even had a legal weapon? It beggar’s belief the way they treat criminals compared to law abiding citizens.
Wtf is that?
Isn’t every flag to be st hslf mast permanently?
Only one token peoplekind for each fresk flag?
Only one masker?
Tsk, tsk
The last comment I made on this thread got my computer shut down and it took over an hour to get things back to normal. By the way the comment was cut off while I was typing and my computer would not bring back the SDA page.
Have you deleted your history cache lately?
face it guys this is a gimme by the rcmp. send us names they say of anyone answering this description. give us a list of all these people so we can treat them as common criminals. by the way it looks like a rcmp ball cap and a piece of wood in his hands.
Would advising the RCMP,by way of a “tip” to “Learn Yoga and go down on themselves”,be too much?
What are the odds this is a compete setup, created by the Nimrods?
I too suspect the Church Burners have a long history of Barn Burning..
Like father ,like son..
In a Kleptocracy the corruption of the forces of “Law and Order and Just Us ” is a requirement.
“What are the odds this is a compete setup, created by the Nimrods?”
Fair to middling. A trolling exercise to identify squealers and handgun owners.
Back in the late ’60s, early ’70s I had a revolver, registered, totally legal. But some of the things I did (transporting it to a new address without a permit that the RCMP knew about and couldn’t care less) would have resulted in criminal charges and being banned from owning firearms today.
But that was before all the gun paranoia.
I eventually sold it because it was so difficult to hit the target and there wasn’t anything else I could do with it. Those targets were all in the woods, not a gun range. It wasn’t careless use, I was very careful.
This is perceived as a crime only in a dystopian nation of snowflake Eloi where widespread mindlessness is considered essential to the continued power of ruling psychopaths. A crime in a rational nation would be based on the initiation of force or fraud against an otherwise innocent victim. How can a blockade of a rail line by thugs professing racial grievance be considered benign while someone, harmlessly target shooting with a “scary” handgun is worthy of police action. I realize the legal implications of the “approved” use of a “restricted” firearm but this represents a selective rule of law when the comparative law (worthy of the state’s action) is garbage.
It looks like careless use of a camera and computer to me.
I like that he has done this as it shows reasonable people the priorities of the state which are not in anyone’s interests but arbitrary reinforcement of their own power over the citizen.
Assholes can block roads, assholes can attack, hurt, small Asian women, (ya never see 6’ judo belts hit) that piece of shit who killed 22 people last year did not have a licence for any type of firearm and was under restraining order, the fucking idiot running this shithole had a big push last year but he was pissed he didn’t beat jacinda the horse on an AR ban. I’ve had great respect for the RCMP all my years (74) but their methods are leaning more lefty all the time, and the fuckhead blair is looking dumber and dumber with every press release he gives on public safety.
Why aren’t there flyers like this on gang shitrats who run around carte Blanche killing and hiding under the cloak ness of dark.
I had a friend who used to shoot restricted in the bush, 100 miles into the middle of nowhere, maybe he should be whipped.
The sooner the fucked up libs are gone the better.
No rant just my opinion.
It’s crap like this that gives the “de-fund movement” legitimacy.
The RCMP is an outdated military regiment that has long outlasted it’s usefulness.
Some months back when I used redial on my land line, the phone messed up and hooked me up to 911. I told the dispatcher that I wasn’t sure how i got connected with emergency but no there was no problem and yes it was regrettable and no, I didn’t wish to give out my particulars and thank you, I’ll just hang up and redial my number, and have yourself a great day.
Well, I knew what was coming next and sure enough within 5 minutes an RCMP turns up at my door with an aggressive knock.
I opened the door and before he could say anything, I said that I was expecting him.
He gave me a pointed look and said that I had phoned 911 and he was here to check up on the situation.
I told him what I told the dispatcher that in fact no I hadn’t called as I had hit redial for a previous number and ended up on 911’s doorstep and I added that the same thing had happened once about 10 years ago on the same line.
This went on for a bit while he rubber necked past my front door trying to take in as much as he could as by now he knew I wasn’t inviting him in.
I have a bad hip from having been side swiped by a runaway semi some years back so wasn’t up for standing at the door much longer. I invited him to sit down on my front porch bench and chat a bit, though he declined in a clipped way and said that he was too busy and didn’t have the time to talk.
As he walked back out to the curb he whirled around and called back that I better not call 911 again unless I had a good reason, to which I reiterated again that I hadn’t. He got in his cruiser a drove away in a hurry.
Just another young cop with little clue about his job which should entail knowing just who lives on your beat.
I told my wife about this when she came home and she immediately wondered what they would do if it had been a call on a cell phone from say a public place.
I hadn’t thought on that.
What you state is my fear with the increased allowing of no knock entry, the call could have been deemed enough reason to enter your place without your permission and that is the bullshit we have to put up with when an increasing left way of thinking comes about, it’s the same as the increased searches of vehicles at traffic stops, what right do cops have to go through your vehicle if your tailgate is loose? Now if you have a loaded handgun under your seat and your drunk and high then it’s your fault, I get that, but if you are stopped and questioned you do not have to answer anything except presentation of your DL and your insurance papers, if a cop is a knob I refuse any talk, and what is in my case in the back or anything else is none of his business, I don’t drink, smoke or partake in anything mind numbing so there is no reason for any further perusal.
Yeah, what a felon. (sarcasm off)

Incorrect. You can fire one where it is legal to possess one, provided the municipality allows the discharge of firearms.
http://plourdelaw.ca/where-can-firearms-be-discharged-in-ontario/
Marxist long march through the institutions, turning what was once an *esteemed
agency dedicated to serve and protect under British Liberty, guided by Sir Robert Peel’s
**9 Rules of Policing into … something her veterans weep for.

Strangely enough, sub-500fps pellet guns are legal, even if they look like a real gun.

If he was black or a Moslem they’d be more concerned for the shooter’s safety.

That seems to have been punted by a court.
https://steventress.com/criminal-lawyer-news/minimum-sentence-unconstitutional/
“Police and paramedics arrived to find Najdi in the lobby of the building. He was taken to hospital in critical condition, underwent surgery and then was listed as stable.
Najdi was charged with attempted murder and firearms offences in April 2019 for shooting the older brother of the man police charged as the triggerman in Najdi’s brother’s fatal shooting in January 2016.”
This from the article I posted above…do you think he even had a legal weapon? It beggar’s belief the way they treat criminals compared to law abiding citizens.
