According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), there have already been 4,115 reported cases of fully vaccinated people being hospitalized or dying with Covid-19 coronavirus breakthrough infections.

That’s as of June 21, 2021. Nearly half (49 percent) of these cases have been female and a little over three-quarters (76 percent) have been 65 years and older. There were a total of 3,907 hospitalizations and 750 deaths among those who had breakthrough infections, although not all of the hospitalizations may have been due primarily to Covid-19.

Here’s a study.

We found that severe COVID-19 infection, associated with a high mortality rate, might develop in a minority of fully-vaccinated individuals with multiple comorbidities. Our patients had a higher rate of comorbidities and immunosuppression compared to previously reported non-vaccinated hospitalized COVID-19 patients. Further characterization of this vulnerable population may help to develop guidance to augment their protection, either by continued social-distancing, or by additional active or passive vaccinations.

Alex Berenson has a number of thoughts

This flaw means the trials couldn’t provide definitive evidence on how well the vaccines work against serious cases of Covid. In contrast, the trials for monoclonal antibodies did prove they worked, because the companies that ran those focused on people at high risk.

The trials had at least two other major flaws. They followed most participants for only about two months after the second dose. And when they calculated vaccine efficacy, they ignored cases that occurred just after the first dose was given.

This meant that when Pfizer and Moderna said in November 2020 their vaccines were about 95% effective at preventing Covid, what they meant was that the vaccines were 95% effective at peak protection FOR A MATTER OF WEEKS.

Neither the companies nor anyone else had any way of knowing how well the vaccines would work in a year, much less in five years – or 20 years. They simply did not have any long-term data. How could they?

Data from England and Scotland show similar trends. In Scotland, hospitalizations have risen more than fivefold in the last several weeks. And more than half the people who died of Covid in the last week of June were fully vaccinated.

For a number of weeks now instead of useful information Canadians have once again been bombarded with this kind of fear mongering propaganda .  Boiling a number of complicated systems down to one single simplistic variable.

    1. It will be the deadliest one yet. The viral variation is so sneaky that it completely hides its symptoms, leading one to believe that one isn’t sick and that nothing’s wrong.

  4. During the early days of COVID, no one knew what the medical standards were for a positive COVID test. 25 cycles? 30? 40? In the end, most of the USA was at 35 cycles, with some places going for 40 cycles. The problem of course is that the more cycles, the more likely you’re gonna have of getting a false positive. Now, the CDC standard for “Breakthru” is 29 — still high enough for measurable false positives, but several orders of magnitude less sensitive than the 35-36 of last year. Hell, if the standard was 29 last year, estimates are that 80% of the “positive” cases wouldn’t have been “positive.”
    Second — I have about a 1/10 chance of getting COVID (Brit study of their hospital employees during the worst of the epidemic). I have about a 1/20 chance of getting it if the most optimistic estimates of the best vaccine are correct. I have a 2/100000 chance of dying of COVID w/o the shot (CDC numbers). So in the end, I don’t cut my chances of getting it (let alone dying of it) by much by getting the shot. Oh, and I can still pass it along if I get it, meaning that the “you don’t have to wear a mask if you have a vaccine” thing lacks medical basis.

    1. Those places that require me to wear a mask if I’m not vaccinated are essentially saying “We can still get COVID even tho we have the shots). Or more likely, “WE will shame you for not getting the shot.” I’m betting the latter.

    2. You are confusing a false positive with asymptomatic infection, they are not the same.

      1. Bullshit. There is no such thing as “asymptomatic infections”. You either have enough viral load to cause symptoms and be able to spread it, or you don’t. The whole thing about asymptomatic spread was concocted when they didn’t have a clue what was going on, and for some reason thought this virus was magic and did things that other viruses didn’t do. It doesn’t work that way. Perhaps people who are pre-symptomatic could spread, but then why treat everyone who isn’t sick as if they are sick? Even Fauci wasn’t stupid enough to try and peddle this dreck.

      4. Asymptomatic infection is very rare. 1% or less of actual transmissions. Policies should not be being developed around asymptomatic transmissions, but instead should focus on isolating the sick. In Canada something like 80 to 90 percent of transmissions occur in institutions — care homes, hospitals and prisons. Lockdowns, masks, PCR tests for non- sick people have all been rather pointless.

      Dr. Jared Bullard a govt. witness admitted under oath that PCR tests do not verify infectiousness, and were never intended to be used to diagnose respiratory illnesses. He also testified that his study showed that 56% of positive PCR test results were false positive.
      By diddling the cycling threshold the govt. can, and is manipulating “cases” and “spikes” as required to fit their lockdown agenda.

But still unwilling to try exceedingly low risk treatment options available, with significantly more research behind them then the approved Canadian options of Remdesivir, spacing doses further apart than manufactures recommendation, mixing vaccines, and giving them to sub groups where little or no data is available. Moderna just announced it will start a trial with Pregnant Women July 22.

  13. Has anyone considered that vaccine trials probably assume the vaccine itself is properly handled and administered? Were all those doses properly kept at the ultra-low temps required up to administration?

A vaccine developed in 10 months with the help of tax payer dollars that usually takes 5-10 years, bypassing several layers of testing and where we’re told we need multiple doses for the best efficacy and for a disease with a survivability rate of 99.8% and where all producers have been granted waivers from all liability yet heartlessly claim intellectual property rights penalizing poorer countries????

    No wonder Bill Gates is a very rich man, most people have said “sure why not” when asked that question.

    I’m saying I don’t like those odds and will continue to practice avoidance techniques that seem to work. Hoping there are enough gullible people out there to create what the monitors will assume to be herd immunity. It’s hard to know when you’ve reached herd immunity against a complicated accelerator of other diseases that is constantly being re-engineered for new outcomes. Probably never until we find out who is behind it and close them down.

  22. Refer back to the original coronavirus animal testing using cats and one other species with similar lung structures as humans. They were conducted years ago after the first covid-1 episode.

    The result after the animals were vaccinated and then later exposed to the real live virus , all of the vaccinated animals died.

    1. I watched a video on that with a respected doctor reporting on the event. It is what originally spooked me about these vaccines. The fact that no one seemed concerned about long term testing was a red flag going up. So far, I have avoided the mRNA VAX.
