      1. He’s had that YT channel for several months, possibly to play hide-and-seek with them. I think he did that because his main one started while he was still affiliated with Alex Jones.

      I saw them perform it live at the old Stampede Corral in Calgary in July 1978.

          As part of the Christmas donation campaign, or is it the lead-up to the annual winter whoop-up, the grog shop in Fort St. John used to sell toy bears or something like that. My father would buy two of them. One he donated and the other he got for my canine step-brother.

          It didn’t take long for the little guy to tear it apart, with stuffing all over the place. That was one of the things I had to clean up soon after I started going to the house on a regular basis. I’m still finding some of it.

          I had been warned about that several years earlier. I bought a plush sheep squeaky for him as a Christmas present. My mother mentioned that, within minutes, there wasn’t much of the sheep left but the critter did manage to find the squeaker.

          In both instances, he was doing what his ancestors taught him to do. Dachshunds are hunting dogs, after all.

          I really miss Terry Kath. And no, he didn’t commit suicide … it was careless gunplay. Listen to his voice! So strong and clear … he was more than just a superb guitarist. Great songwriter and singer. Interesting how he chose to play bass for this song … giving the acoustic guitar part to bassist Peter Cetera.

        2. Yes. I know people who’ve had family arguments about Covid injections. Irreparable damage has been done about these decisions. Of course, it’s too late once the deed is done.

          In one case, these people weren’t even listening to the CBC. Seems peer pressure was their influence, and for many, they want to travel a.s.a.p. as they believe Vax passports are soon going to be a necessity to get to anywhere. Funny thing, they aren’t planning any trips so they’ve made hasty decisions that might’ve affected their health for the rest of their lives.

          Personally, I’m glad that I’ve stuck to my policy about never discussing anything about politics, religion etc., with family, friends, neighbors and acquaintances. I try to keep it light.

    1. I’ve mentioned this a few times before but it’s worth repeating.

      In Grade 11, my English teacher was a raving hard-core communist. One’s grade in the course depended on how much one was converted. He openly held religious beliefs in disdain and made sure one knew it.

      Similarly, I knew a number of people who went into the ministry. If they weren’t communists by the time they started seminary, I’m sure they were by the time they graduated and were ordained.

    Imagine how Trudeau’s Gender Bender’s would handle China. I recall seeing a female CF in Canadian Newscast at beginning of Afghan War. She had to be pulled off the line. First day out with the CF. Full Battle Rattle, she could not even get to her feet the next morning. The males had to carry most of her kit. The Newscast was immediately pulled.

    1. I recall seeing a female CF in Canadian Newscast at beginning of Afghan War. She had to be pulled off the line.

      During my time at Armpit College, I had some ex-Forces among my students. I remember teaching a service course to a different department and there were at least two who served on peace-keeping duty in Bosnia. They were no-nonsense types who got down to business and I enjoyed having them in my class. One of them hinted that her unit encountered some rather unsavoury things over there, so she was made of stern stuff.

      However, there was one in a different service course who said that she had served but she was an incessant whiner. I often had the thought that if she was typical of Canada’s military, this country was in deep trouble.

    1. Schools must have been teaching that sort of crap more than 30 years ago because I often had recent high school graduates in my courses at Armpit College. Many of them had a poor grasp of trigonometry and algebra and forget about punctuation or spelling.

      Worse was when I corrected them. (“This isn’t an English course, so why did you mark me wrong on that?” “Uh, because you’re preparing a technical document and it needs to be accurate and clear?”) Yeah, I was often raked over the coals for that, not just from them but my department administrators.

      I’m glad I no longer have to deal with that sort of stuff.
