      We call it “Ottawa disease” up here. Everyone who stays long enough, eventually catches it. I suspect it is why Trey Gowdy packed it in, he did not like what he was becoming.

3. Notice the importance of a clear definition of a term. That is what Tom Cotton was pushing for. That is why approving a constitution with the words “reasonable limits” was such an outrageous abuse of governance as to be treasonous because its very definition depends on who has the power to define the meaning of the word “reasonable” in any circumstance.

   3. Yeah, it is a mistake of human nature. The mistake they made, was assuming that it would generally be honest and reasonably competent people elected.

      I suppose when we sit down to draft the constitution of the west, we need to assume “WHEN IT FAILS”, not if.

   4. Part of the problem is that the sense of the word “reasonable” has changed over the years. Its current sense of “agreeable” is not the original meaning; “reasonable” used to mean “able to reason” – that is, capable of reasoning through an argument and rejecting fallacy or sophistry.

      The Canadian Constitution uses “reasonable” in the current sense; “reasonable” limits are merely those which people agree on, and the government is very good at getting people to agree with its actions.

4. Fear, the one thing that Democrats and Liberals are good at is spreading fear. This candidate is using the term assault weapon to target semi-automatic rifles above 22 caliber designation. The assault weapon of choice in America by gang bangers, hoodlums and thugs is the 9 mm handgun. So why is the focus both in Canada and America on trying to ban rifles at all cost. The answer is that the Democrats and Liberals fear a properly armed citizenry.

5. Well, millions have lied on that form in order to purchase a firearm. Does smoking a little weed count or only crack? Tossing the gun in the trash where a kid could find it, is much worse and compared to selling his old man’s influence and making a fortune doing it, I think this is small change.

6. There is only one word necessary to define an assault weapon:
   Any rifle or machine pistol which is designed to serially discharge multiple projectiles when a switch is manually selected to “AUTO” and the trigger is pulled once and not released.
   Or if you are an anti firearms leftist, anything that is black and scary looking.

   1. Although you are technically correct in actuality any object, tool or weapon used to intentionally inflict bodily harm or death is an assault weapon. If I come at you with a knife, hammer, axe, chainsaw, baseball bat, golf club or whatever with the intention of inflicting harm, mayhem, damage or death that is an assault, even a pair of fists can be termed as an assault, the weapon part is just part of the Democratic plan to nullify the 2nd. Don’t get caught up in what the Democrats are trying to do by letting them dictate the meaning, that is part of their agenda.

   All fabricated nonsense to divert from real issues, thus accountability, all immune to transparency and quantification.

   But great ideas if you just want to rule but never lead, like solving the border crisis they caused, while never going there.

8. At 2:40 in the video Senator Cotton makes the statement. “Mr. Biden is obligated to keep a record of that form for up to five years himself.” Huh? I don’t recall ever receiving a copy, or keeping a copy of this form when I purchased firearms. What I remember was the seller with the FFL kept this record after completing the background call to the FBI.

   Is Senator Cotton right and I do not remember?

9. Once they confiscate all semiautomatic rifles above the caliber of a 22, they’ll go for all “bolt action assault rifles” and 22s. Gun control is a prelude to confiscation and an integral step for all tyrannies consolidating power. Societies where people aren’t allowed to own weapons have no actual citizens but instead, serfs in waiting. People who support gun control are no different than Soviet “citizens” who rat out their neighbours for every minor act of disobedience. What a peaceful person owns is nobody’s f…..g business.
