“Oppressed peoples”? “Apartheid State” ? Who? What!? The *ahem* Palestinian People? Give me a fucking break. Sorry, boys, that AOC didn’t “deliver” for you. And yet you admire her oratory skills? Sheesh, when you put a twenty something emptyheaded ditz into office … you can’t expect Oliver Wendell Holmes? These two boys are complete idiots. Tell me they can’t vote. Anywhere. Please.
I tried following what she was saying and I couldn’t make head or tail of any of it.
I frequently come across as mumble-mouthed when I talk, but that’s often because I’m thinking ahead about what I want to say and I try to edit my thoughts before expressing them. But at least my mind is functioning while I speak.
There doesn’t appear to be any activity between her ears when her lips move.
B.A.D. – I know people like her in business who use lots of words they learned in school or from reading business-management theory or their thesaurus. The good ones can sprinkle phrases that seem to make sense in with the gibberish and by talking very quickly they sometimes sound intelligent but you have to listen closely and turn on your BS detector to realize there is no real insight or substance in what they are saying. In the end, many get promoted to SVP or become politicians… And we wonder why our companies can’t always compete.
Tell me about it.
My last department head at Armpit College was like that. Intellectually, he was thick as a plank but he was quick to use the latest bizbabble phrase three times in every two sentences when he spoke, expecting people to swoon in admiration and worship at his “knowledge”.
The real reason he did it was to impress his superiors (some of whom were just dumb enough to be suckered by his act) in the hope that he would be invited to join the pantheon of gods on the institution’s version of Mount Olympus.
As for corporate executives who’re dim, I know about that, too. I watched the proceedings of a certain company’s annual general meeting last year and the CEO came across as a complete cretin (e. g., he couldn’t refer to numbers properly, calling, say, 5.2 as “5 dot 2”). Oh, well, at least that firm pays a decent dividend…..
You have to be pretty far left to be disappointed that AOC isn’t left enough for you. And yes, these guys are idiots.
Yeah … when you hear them at the end of the video … it becomes clear what they ‘believe’ … that Palestinians are “oppressed” by Israel … and how “Israel” isn’t representative of the Jewish people … blah, blah, blah … typical sophomoric college nonsense. Some people think more clearly than they speak. You know this because when they write they articulate there thoughts brilliantly.
AOC is opposite. She is mostly empty-headed. But she can still fill time talking better than most, even when clueless. This video illustrates this wonderfully. She says a lot words while answering the question, and yet says absolutely nothing. I would be embarrassed to give an answer like that to a question I couldn’t answer.
But that’s the advantage to being an airhead with a huge ego. You can confidently say nothing without a hint of self-doubt. And in this age of stupid, there will be plenty of people who will be fooled.
