“We have now fought and lost two elections against a carbon tax because voters did not think we were serious about addressing climate change,” O’Toole said in his speech to delegates.
“And I will not allow 338 candidates to defend against the lie from the Liberals that we are a party of climate change deniers.”
If that is honestly what he thinks then his political instincts and ability to read the room are so low they can’t even be charted.

Replacing competency with mediocrity saddles us with politicians, who cower faced with a hostile media and hostile Social Media giants, too. It’s the equivalent to a corn maize to them with no a way out.

If Max Bernier could give a speech with the eloquence of Prof. Salim Mansur, he would have trounced the small minded cabal of the C.P.C. . His idea of provincial autonomy appeals to both Quebec and the Western provinces. The upcoming recession with high inflation and high unemployment and a low wage de-industrializing economy is going to be quite a shock. The panic-demic lockdowns may push us into an actual depression.

If Erin O’Toole had run on the format that he now currently stands. He wouldn’t have won, but at least one could respect him for his honesty. And we quite possibly would have had another leader more in line with his/her supporters ideology. But he didn’t. Instead opting to hide his real intent from his supporters until it was too late. Now because of this, he’s placed us all into a disgusting and depressing situation. The F-ing SOB. His actions have guaranteed at least another term for “The Boy”. Erin O’Toole will go the way of Kim Campbell.
When scheer-the-steer ordered his sheep to support turdo la doo on the Paris Climate Accord I sent a letter to the local riding association that my family would not support him or the Party.
I sent pretty well the same letter again concerning NO’Tool. And if our MPP was CPC, he’d have got the same message.
Although there is widespread dissatisfaction with NO’Tool and the direction of the CPC, I bet few have bothered to tell them how disgusted they are with current CPC affairs.
So they will continue ahead full steam while taking on more and more water.
And to those who say “Waste of your time – won’t make a damn bit of difference ” perhaps you’re right. But that’s possibly because hardly anyone does it. So until that changes, the correct comment is, “we will never know if a lot of negative feedback would change things.”
Besides, there is satisfaction in telling those who arent worthy of your support that they’re not getting it.

It could be a wealthy independent nation. Bigger in area, and population, than many countries. I would submit that had the litany of grievances articulated by many political movements in Western Canada over the past 70 years been imposed on Western Canada in just the past 10 years there would be no question as to what would be under way now. After reading the above posts, I have realized the great misunderstanding that is causing a lot of this SDA in-fighting.
You see, the CPC has the word “Conservative” in it’s name which is bound to cause a lot of confusion among the right. Now, most of us eventually realized the word is simply there as a marketing term as conservatism has been distinctly lacking from their platform for many years now. But others here apparently still believe that voting CPC is some retarded fucking duty conservatives MUST perform or else we are Trudeau-lovers.
I find these same people don’t seem to hesitate to attack any conservative who won’t vote CPC…. like their own little rightard woke industry. I also find that while they are prolific at inventing ignorant reasons to not vote PPC, they are absolutely inept when it comes to articulating the great reasons the CPC’s policies need support.

Net Zero Fossil Fuel means that mankind is thrust back to the era before fossil fuels even coal powered trains.
It means you will grow and harvest and deliver food by human muscle power and animal power. And you will grow all this massive amounts of food without pesticides, herbicides or fertilizers.
Yes it means a long slow painful death by starvation for over 7B humans.
And 53% of Canadian voters are supporting these programs.
Those Canadians who are stupid enough to support the starvation of themselves and their families deserve to die by their own hand.
