In Canada, one cannot practice medicine at all unless you pay well over $30 000/year to maintain your license. We live in a kleptocracy the likes of which would blow your mind. The citizens who lived under Caligula were less persecuted, less taxed and less regulated than we are. Let that sink in.

In Ontario at least, as of 2019. I have a friend who is a doctor, he retired in 2019. He said it was $34K and change. Now he can’t even write a prescription, after practicing for 30 years.
A number of persecuted teachers in Ontario also made over one hundred thousand dollars a year.
There are perhaps 350,000 teachers making > $100k in America. Shhhhh … the UNIONS are protecting and hiding the numbers
Civil servants across Canada are not only still getting pay raises but have been thoroughly enjoying spending the past year no longer pretending to do more than a couple of hours of work a day.
Go back to normal? Whatever for? So they can go back to showing up to a office block every morning on time, dressed like Christians and not stinking of whisky or pot?
