I have just left a very polite request (my second one) on my local Health Unit comments board. I asked, since we will be re-opening a church soon, for any published scientific study showing the value of face masks. I noted that folks have provided quite a number of published studies which seem to indicate no particular value, but also that numerous highly placed politicians and others in the Public Health sphere have recommended the use of two or even three masks. First request was last weekend. No response so far. For context, there have been zero Covid deaths in this jurisdiction.

Masks will continue to be worn in this country until we all behave the way that Prinz Dummkopf wants us to (e. g., we all stop being racists bastards).
This has been posted before. It is an hour in length but worth it.
The take away: doctors are beginning to push back, and they encourage us to look at the data.

Doctors? What do they know? Of the two Liberal MPs in Thunder Bay, Trudeau chose the one who is not a doctor to be the Minister of Health. Apparently, she took an oath to support Trudeau not the public.
It was a superb takedown done by her of the epidemiologist. She challenged her repeatedly to provide even one example of asymptomatic spread. Phillips swerved desperately to avoid answering the question. In the end she said two things, both highly revealing: 1. that she could go back and get others to produce the data; and 2. the “precautionary principle” upon which her discipline relies.
As to her point 1, it meant that she had no such knowledge even though this is Phillips’ job, career and supposed expertise.
As to point 2, by definition, the Precautionary Principle is NOT science. It is about making decisions where no scientific empirical evidence is available. It’s called guesswork, but us regular folks.
Julia Hartley-Brewer did a superb job in forcing Phillips to a place she didn’t want to go. That’s real journalism as opposed to the worthless crap served up to us by CTV, CBC, Global, or 680 News.
Using logic and common sense is ineffective against organized stupidity.
Could’t listen to this air head any longer. Lasted about 1/2 min. Should stop calling it the wuhan flu and call it the ccp plague. CCP is the Communist Cesspool Party. Not just China but world wide. It transcends one or the other political party (I give you Canada for example). The CCP is the plague.
I never call it the Wuhan flu. If you call it the flu you are liable to get, “IT’S NOT JUST A FLU!!!!” shouted at you so I’ve always called it “The Plague of Wuhan.”
