Anyway, for the most part we’ve vaccinated the nursing home residents and staff. Maybe in April we can have our lives back? Like watching sporting and arts events? No? A 3rd strain? Oh we weren’t locked down last summer? It just seems like we weren’t.
c. Look Ma, the mother of all deficits, debt service costs doubling as interest rates rise, by borrowing what Canadians couldn’t. Must set priorities, let’s see, end crony bailouts or tax the shit out of primary residences with suites. Well, isn’t the answer obvious. Many of the medical profession are aware of the lack of hard evidence and the lack of meeting the Standard of Care required by medical professionals, including those working for government. They’re hoping to survive by keeping their head down.
In trench warfare, you end up getting bayoneted sooner or later that way. Formerly, medical professionals viewed it as a calling of the highest ideal of service that they answered to. Others would die tending to those afflicted by the 1918 Spanish Flu.
Now, they surrender to a threat to their comfortable and safe sinecure. Though any Western doctor could get a job in another Western nation or in the developing world.
One can serve the highest of human ideals, the transcendent ones, or fall into dishonour; while attempting to placate the secular warlords, at the price of patients, patience and pride of one’s oath.
