Newly re-elected Portland Mayor Ted Wheeler now admits that his policies dealing with Antifa have failed:
“My good-faith efforts at de-escalation have been met with ongoing violence and even scorn from radical Antifa and anarchists,” Wheeler said in a New Year’s Day press conference. “In response, it will be necessary to use additional tools and to push the limits of the tools we already have to bring the criminal destruction and violence to an end.”
“It’s time to push back harder against those who are set on destroying our community and to take more risks in fighting lawlessness,” the Portland mayor continued.
“We should be clear what this was last night, it was about violence and criminal destruction, period,” Portland Police Chief Chuck Lovell said during the press conference.

Now that Trump is leaving office, it’s interesting to see how many people are adopting his policies and suggestions. If I recall correctly Trump offered to send in Federal agents to assist the local police but was rebuked by the local political establishment.
Trump has not conceded yet and at this point the only way he is leaving office is if the cheating Dems and their RINO partners can get the military to drag him out by force.
Now that Trump was FRAUDULENTLY voted out of office … the left cannot blame the violent and petulant conduct of ANTIFA or BLM on Trump. What to do? They nurtured the monster by permitting violence and chaos … because it was directed at Trump. Now what? What’s the cover story for the violence? Our American capitalist economy? I live in Portland. You do not even begin to understand how stupid and self-defeating is our current voting population. I really do not think you can grasp the depth of stupidity of my fellow citizens. I am no genius, but good god.
I have been a good and quiet neighbor all of my life. The recrudescence of fkwitted violence here set me off and so I observed to my neighbor (the kinda male half of a pair of actors who moved here from LA) that his lads were at it again. I was referring to his BLM yard sign and the Love Wins yard sign. Any idiot knows that BLM stands for the accelerated slaughter of blacks and Love Wins means that you hate those not like you. This stuff manifests itself in violent attacks on citizens and private property.
I got an indignant call later from the fellow demanding to know this and that. I told him that I’d call him later, that I was busy. The upshot is that I had to appear on this bastard’s porch the next day and apologize for my intemperance.
