CPC Leadership Results

Update@ 21:05: blahblahblah Scheer blahblahblah Diane Finley and then the punchline… still no results. This is the most incompetent, boring party in the history of Canadian politics.

21:42: This is so boring The Rebel is now replaying Scheer speeches at both drunk and Ben Shapiro speed.

02:40am… No winner after first ballot… Lewis wins Saskatchewan, Sloan drops off, at 33.52% McKay has the most votes but little room to grow.

O’Toole wins by nearly 5,000 points over McKay.

  1. Really don’t like Aaron O’Toole or peter MacKay

But do like O’Toole is apparently not a mask whore.

  2. Well at least now that it’s over the msm can acknowledge the existence of Leslyn Lewis and proceed to explain how racist the conservative voter base is by not electing a female minority…

  3. But it’s clear the CPC is split as well. The Atlantic faction are red as red, love the Rebel comment, they can go back to voting Liberal now.
Still good not to make the MacKay mistake, but is OToole enough?
Leslyn Lewis would have been interesting, but she’s an Ontario conservative……=Red Tory

  4. Unsurprisingly CBC pundits are absolutely melting down that Peter McKay did not win and are setting future narratives up based around that fact

  5. So if this vote was decided by actual party members rather than ridings, would Lewis have won on the second ballot? She was notably very strong in Alberta and Saskatchewan. Very large portion of party members there.

  6. Peter McKay loses to his own stupid point system he had embedded in the Conservative Party constitution. LOOOOL

  7. OK I retract my prior comment apparently O’Toole is a mask whore.

Which means he’s a Paris accord whore.

    Wexit

  8. Lol. The Tory party is pathetic on so many levels but not even being able to count on time is something even for them.
At least it isn’t Mackay. Lewis would be smart to stick around and keep working on her French. When O’Toole inevitably loses the next election she will be the obvious successor.

  9. Apparently if you have a Canadian flag on your mask it’s somehow better.

Just to clarify masks apparently justify shutting down the Canadian economy and bankrupting the nation while raiding the treasury.

If there is one thing masks validate it’s the above.

Apparently O’Toole wants to make sure he’s out in front of this.

    Wexit

  10. Lol! Conservatives once again elect a nobody. This guy is not a change agent. He’s just another old out of touch dingbat like Scheer.

    Makes Wexit that much easier.

    Good job conservatives.

    1. Depends who O’Toole installs in his office, who the communications people will be. At least they can’t be worse than the crew Scheer surrounded himself with. Can they?

  11. So good!

Rural Ontario (and more) is all in with Western Canada.

Love y’all, and what you’re doing for the Deranged Dominion: everybody knows, even as some choose to deny it.

However it works out, looking forward to working with all.

Everybody round here in Stratford ON got our vote!

  12. Speech by O’Toole full of mealy mouthed platitudes…blah, blah, blah. Did not impress. What a FUBAR exercise!

  13. Man oh man!

What a process! And what a leader!

    That’ll leave turdo shakin’!

    With laughter …

    1. It’s almost as if the Conservative Party awarded a soul source contract to the Libranos for leadership ballot counting.

  14. Given the voting system and the hugely skewed result from Quebec, it is evident that a province in which Conservatives usually finish third or even fourth, has determined the leader of the Conservative Party.
It would be very interesting to know the actual vote count (especially after Derek Sloan was eliminated) . . .

  15. I thought I was cynical… wow after reading these replies.

O’Tool with NEVER be PM. The Conservative party just elected Justine for… ever.

Even the voting machines rejected O’Tool.

“When the politicians complain that TV turns the proceedings into a circus, it should be made clear that the circus was already there, and that TV has merely demonstrated that not all the performers are well trained.” ~ Edward R. Murrow

So, Conservative Leader number what, 46? That is unwilling to bar the CBC from their events, but is perfectly willing to ban The Rebel, True North, any an all social conservatives, anyone who actually believes in God, …

    1. It’s just so western conservatives can enjoy getting screwed by the nomination process the same way the federal system screws us. So the CPC commits to the same western alienation they give the Liberals flak for.

I bought a membership to support Lewis/Sloan and a protest vote for O’Toole to stop MacKay. However since my vote counts for significantly less than a vote out East I think I’ll let my membership lapse when its expiration comes.

In a strict ranked ballot resulting in a majority, it should’ve been between Lewis and O’Toole. I’m not sure how MacKay’s voters would’ve ranked their down ballot, but I’d like Lewis’s chances given she’d be up 4000 votes going into a final ballot.

  17. So then it turns out that the CPC will have the only leader whose name identifies him as a tool, you have to make deductions in all other cases.
