  1. What pisses me off about all this is that, even supposing the NRP loses the vote on the throne speech, they will probably still win the next election.

    1. Liberals promises to steal from us to give to them is a feature, not a bug, to most Canadian voters.

“We rip off the other guy and give you the goodies! Vote Blackie, 2020!’

There is a reason that blatant Liberal corruption doesn’t bother many Canadian voters.

  2. Another day, more liberal evil. Nepotism, cronyism, call it what you like, it is all wrong, and evil. And there is no shame whatsoever from any of them. Fire them all!

    1. That was Morneau’s fault in the eyes of Trudeau, he had shame, he repaid the $41,000.
Not only did that make Trudeau look bad, it showed Morneau could be shamed. Not acceptable to Trudeau.

I did not like Morneau but the fact he had shame and was fired by Trudeau amounts to a degree of redemption.

  3. The people who boldly proclaim that had they been in Germany 80 or so years ago, they would have stood up the the Nazis are the often the same ones who, when they hear of what the Canadian kleptocratic class is doing, shrug and say “Oh, well, what can you do about it?”

Let’s face it, most Canadians love and admire corrupt and crooked politicians. Openly being a thief shows a daring and boldness that the average voters wish they had. Those politicians aren’t regarded as criminals but folk heroes and are venerated as such.

    1. I disagree. Based on the reactions of my circle of friends and acquaintances, I believe the average voter is filled with disgust and contempt for these criminals. The fringe group you are referring to would be sociopaths.

      1. Then how is it that when the antics of our “betters” are made public, they’re consistently returned to office?

        1. Considering all the goes on in the States, has it never occurred to you that the voting process may be compromised in some way?

      2. Leftist ideology is closely correlated to sociopathy. The further left one’s political leanings, the more narcissistic they are and less capable of empathy. Their sole interest is themselves, everything else is empty virtue signaling. When you consider the % of votes the NDP and Greens get, then add on those on the left end of the LPC, you’re not talking fringe group. A sizeable portion of Canadians exhibit sociopathic tendencies.

  4. Mr Silver was trying to get what he wants.  He’s connected to this government through his wife, it’s his chance to become rich.

By comparison with Americans, we Canadians have seen nothing yet.

Lately the Democrats in the USA are on the same page as Obama during his tenure as POTUS? The Liberals in Canada are on that same trajectory.

Obama blew $150 Billion on Green Energy projects. What Silver wants is nothing by comparison. Still, he managed something.

There were 34 companies which benefited from his Obama’s largesse. All of them failed.

For Liberals theft is part of their DNA. They have no scruples.

Watch for the Obama type of action here in Canada. Freeland’s budget in the Fall will be unprecedented.

    For the record, from 2015:

      1. Isn’t it convenient that he abolished Parliament and can now rule like a self-appointed despot?

He never ran on that in the last election, so he’s pulling a bait-and-switch. The average doofus Canadian voter will rejoice at the govenment’s horn of plenty and will, no doubt, help anoint him as king for life, joyously handing over his or her savings, and maybe even their firstborn, when the bills come due.

Future Conservative leader Peter McKay, on the other hand, will spend his time as Stornoway’s tenant gloating about what his former sweetie missed out on when she dumped him.

        1. Yes, the little Dictator should get a hat like Napoleon wore!
Trudeau thinks he can get by on his looks and voter fraud for good measure. What a phoney. So many gaffes, too numerous to mention. As time goes on they get more serious. I often think of the leg jewelry that he ‘n Soapie wear. Maybe it’s for their own protection? Maybe Xi ordered it as insurance because of Meng Wanzhou’s arrest?

As for Peter, he’ll win. He has the most cash. He’ll be rusty in Q.P. Hope Mackay can at least be more critical of Trudeau than Scheer ever was. No more talk about Belinda. Not even a newspaper story.

Btw I agree with you about Kamala and, like you, I’m beginning to think that Biden will win through voter fraud and Kamala will replace him as President because of his senility. She was way too happy the other night, smiling from ear to ear. She knows something…..

          1. Or something.
Biden is running because he doesn’t want to go to the pen.

That’s right on, it’s always about Quebec versus Ontario, the ROC don’t count. ⬇️

          2. Yes, the little Dictator should get a hat like Napoleon wore!

Say what you like about the Little Corporal, Bonaparte knew how to lead, wisely chose his subordinates, and had considerably more integrity than Prinz Dummkopf.

There’s a story I heard about the French occupation of Wein. Napoleon found out that the elderly Franz Joseph Haydn was living in the city, so Bonaparte posted guards outside Papa’s house out of respect.

          3. @ 11:44 ⬆️B A

Trudeau will never have Napoleon’s class even if he went to charm school.

If he has heard the Composer’s music it would’ve had to have come from his X-BOX, if that were possible.

For a reprieve from thoughts of HRH that twit:

Haydn: Sonata No.52 in E-flat Major, 1st movt [Kana Mimaki]
            https://youtu.be/ouuy4crR8jc

          4. NR:

If I hadn’t known it was Haydn beforehand, I might have guessed that it was written by Mozart (Jr., not his father Leopold or his sister Nannerl). I believe he and Papa crossed paths, so they would clearly have known about each other.

The reference to an X-Box is appropriate. A few months ago, I found one abandoned by a tenant, so I took it to my apartment and disassembled it. There wasn’t much worth salvaging in it, the machine appeared to be dead as a doornail and was only good for playing games. Kind of sounds like Dear Leader, doesn’t it?

Maybe we should give him a new nickname: PM X-Box.

          5. to B A @ 3:05 pm

PM X-Box? Yup, he does play games. That’s funny!
And Pwime Ministerth Xth-Xth Boxth too becauseth goalsth haveth tooth Xth Ckwomosomesth!

Btw– I read that the piece was the last thing Haydn wrote. It was well played by the pianist. Thanks for bringing up Haydn. I will endeavour to listen to more classical music.

  5. Beginning to see a pattern.

Crisis hits and sole source contracts start getting awarded after Parliament shut down, all of them seem to have some connection to the PMO.
Yesterday story came out in the Star about “some “ cabinet ministers starting to question contracts, albeit for reasons other than ethical.
Now this story about how the husband of the PM chief of staff didn’t get what he wanted from Min of Fin, but did from the PM.
Now put this in the context of what the sock monkey calls pushback. Where he tells civil servants to make sure it doesn’t appear that he influences them …… like he did to Jody.

I imagine that when one of them has nothing to lose, and everything to gain, that’s when the ratting out takes place.
    Maybe just before parliament resumes?

  6. It will be interesting to see if the Telford-Silver scandal will be reported by our somnolent broadcast media over the weekend. Vice news, the NP and the G&M are reporting on it.

    1. They don’t see it as a scandal – they see it as a businessmen lobbying for his business and, more importantly, being turned down so since he wasn’t successful THIS time, there is nothing to see here.

Forget about the contract his employer received (sole sourced I think) to administer some silly government program. Just a coincidence.
