  1. A Time To Hate

**As a rabbi of 40 years and a person who believes that most people have the potential for goodness, and who tries to find the good even in people who disappoint until they absolutely close off the possibility of goodness being discovered within them, I now have learned to hate.

I have come deeply to hate. I hate that Donald Trump never was given a chance to be president of the United States for even one day’s honeymoon. I hate that, long before he won the presidency — fair and square — corrupt crooks and criminals in the United States Department of Justice, its Federal Bureau of Investigation, were actively plotting to take him down. I hate that there are so few outlets in the media that give voice to condemn the criminality and corruption that broke every accepted societal norm by which we play the game. I hate that Obama was in on it, yet continues to pontificate on what is just and on what threatens freedom.
I hate that they all keep getting away with it. Every single one of them gets away with it. There is absolutely no price to be paid on the left for perjury, for conspiracy to overturn a legitimate election, for treason.**

Here the Rabbi discusses his column with Seth Leibsohn. I started listening to Seth’s show when I was in Phoenix this past winter and I listen every day now. For those that enjoy the talk show format give him a listen. You’ll be impressed.

    1. Very moving. Hate is justified in this circumstance because evil has run amok. Is the evil simply just greed and self interest . . . human folly, or is it something darker? Glad to know about the Rabbi.

    2. Please, do not hate! Work to oppose, but do not hate!
I do not hate. I undermine, topple, demonize, disrupt, subvert, and bring down, but I do so without hatred.
They do not deserve us hating them! Reserve the hatred for the equally decent opponents. The left is not them.

      1. Citronella:

The hatred of which he speaks is hatred of various behaviours and institutions, not people. Hatred of the sins not the sinners.

    1. Remember the good old days when Ontario Reform members used to boo Red Star reporters at meetings.

The only recorded rebellion by Conservatives in Canadian history.

“A local news correspondent was subjected to verbal abuse, threats, and was even stalked while trying to report from a demonstration protesting the lockdown in New York State Thursday.

Kevin Vesey, a reporter for News 12 Long Island, posted the footage to his Twitter feed Thursday evening. It depicted an unruly group of protesters, in the Commack section of Long Island, hurling verbal barbs at him while he was trying to file a live report.

“Go home! You’re fake news!” One protester said.

      “Traitor!” Another shouted.

“You are the virus!” Another said.

  2. Some politicians have been raked across the coals for not establishing “social distancing” fast enough, or even just questioning their effectiveness (Trump, Governor of Georgia, Premier of Quebec).

I wonder what the media and assorted SJWs will do about this politician:
Chief Bobby Cameron of the Federation of Sovereign Indigenous Nations (Saskatchewan). LOL. Of course they will do nothing. You know, racism, orange-man-bad, etc.

  3. Several Cardinals of the Catholic Church have signed an open letter to their faithful and the world at large. Here’s a link to an article that quotes the letter:

    https://www.trustnodes.com/2020/05/10/protests-in-germany-grow-as-cardinals-revolt

They’re instructing priests to celebrate the Sacraments and continue public worship despite social distancing that may be imposed on them by their Governments. Highlights include such phrases as

“The fight against Covid-19, however serious, must not be the pretext for supporting the hidden intentions of supranational bodies that have very strong commercial and political interests in this plan.”

“Let us not allow centuries of Christian civilization to be erased under the pretext of a virus, and an odious technological tyranny to be established”

“A democratic and honest debate is the best antidote to the risk of imposing subtle forms of dictatorship”

The letter is viewable (and signable) here:

How has this not turned up in anyone’s news?? I only saw this today.

  4. https://www.huffingtonpost.ca/entry/justin-trudeau-hair-coronaviruspandemic_ca_5eb9aaf2c5b69358ef8a9778

Educational article on our PM’s sexy hair from one of the news organizations who were moderators in the Canadian election.

“If the man released his conditioner brand, people would probably flock to Shopers Drug Mart to stock up themselves — they already stocked up on his socks. ”
I wish we had a Shopers Drug Mart in Saskatoon!

“Psychologically, [a beard] can be a sort of declaration of fortitude and heartiness,” Christopher Oldstone-Moore, who studies gender and hair at Wright State University told Wired Magazine. “It’s a way of saying, ‘I’m tough. I can withstand adversity.’”

    1. Trudeau actually looks awful. His hair is a dye job. Unlike the rest of us, I guess he is able to get a trim. The beard is grey and extremely ugly. The new glasses do not help either. I bet that he desperately wishes to retire now into a job with no responsibility at the UN.

  5. https://www.nationalreview.com/2020/05/coronavirus-lockdowns-have-not-made-air-cleaner/

” article in National Geographic notes that NO2 levels in Dallas declined by three percent between March 1 and April 5. Particulate-matter levels, however, were 24 percent higher than the five-year median. In Seattle, NO2 levels fell in March, but the level of particulate matter increased. National Geographic highlighted the health problems associated with PM 2.5, but left out the relevant data.”

Turns out the air may not be cleaner during this pandemic, even though we are driving and flying far less.

  6. Will the snitch-cowards keep it up as businesses (if they’re still viable) are allowed to open?

    https://www.msn.com/en-ca/news/canada/ontario-stage-one-reopening-includes-stores-surgeries-tennis-dog-grooming/ar-BB145NyT?ocid=spartandhp

    https://globalnews.ca/news/6945905/coronavirus-cases-canada-may-14/

    I predict yes.
The mental defectives, afraid of their own shadows and the deviant weirdos, in need of self-righteous satisfaction, will continue to call and report, but now also on businesses as well.
There will be added costs to businesses to count the number of patrons, to continually disinfect, and patrol their premise.
So even more will fail. How the fuck does a business have a sale and push out product? Restaurants need bums in seats and turnover.
The control-freaks are in power so shut your mouth, keep your head down, smile meekly or you’ll be fined or worse.

  7. Christopher Sands, the director of the Canada Institute at the Woodrow Wilson International Centre in Washington, D.C., said there is political pressure on Trudeau to keep pursuing the seat, even amid the pandemic crisis.

“Canada has a mixed record when it has sat on the council in the past, often failing to achieve much while there. There could be a role now for a middle power to have greater influence in a world where tensions are rising between large powers China and the U.S.”

If Canada wins next month’s vote, it will take its seat at the table next year, for a two-year term.

      1. Lilley’s likening Dear Leader to a puppy whimpering in a corner after having been caught relieving itself on the carpet is appropriate.

      Hailey Badger gunrunner.
She will walk with a huge check from Justine.

  9. This morning Brian Tobin is begging the federal government to cut a big ass cheque for the east coast oil and gas sector.
CBC reports this story with the tag line “ex premier and former cabinet minister” without mentioning party affiliation.
Fun fact, I guess Tobin didn’t get the memo that according to crazie aunt Lizzie and Le Blancheq that the oil industry is dead so no money for you.
Might want to see where this one goes. Tobin likes to present himself as a blu-liberal business friendly kind and the sock monkey has already made it obvious whose apples he shines.
This could get interesting if Newfoundland doesn’t get a big enough cheque or if they get nothing.
Does the sock monkey bail out the east coast oil and gas (aka Irving Oil) or does he cut them loose because Quebec?
This is another one of those lose lose propositions for Mr Dithers 2.0.
He cuts a cheque for oil and gas he upsets the progressive set and the Quebec welfare industry, he doesn’t cut a cheque he loses the east.
Odds are he will cut a cheque, but not nearly big enough to satisfy the east coast welfare industry.

    1. He’ll get away with whatever he does if he can somehow make it look like something to fight “climate change”. He’s spent his time as Dear Leader successfully duping Canadians into believing that black is white, so why stop now?

      1. You are correct.
He has shown he can put lipstick on a pig and himself at the same time.

        1. Joseph: Your last line contained a redundancy – “pig” was mentioned twice.

    1. a Wind Farm in Cornwall..??
You have got to be freaking kidding me.
I lived there for 7 years….and the only wind that blew was from mouthy corrupt Frenchmen out their (_i_), and liberal politicians.

One wonders how much said developer paid these LIBERAL Judges..??
      What a croc of BS.

    2. That’s appalling. Perhaps the Ontario government can refuse to pay. This is a step beyond what judges could legitimately authorize.

  10. Those that wonder what happened to China…Should replay the NPR Charlie Rose interview with Paul Krugman after China failed to support AGW….Yep! a threat to over-throw China leadership ….

  11. I don’t own a television and haven’t for decades so I miss out on some hilarious and hideous aspects of the platform.

Last nite I had the opportunity to watch the ctv national news with Lisa Laflamme. They’ve taken the word hairball to a new low.

I had just been watching the Fox gurls who are impeccably coiffed. Imagine my shock when ctv rolled out the now graying, rapidly aging in desperate need of a trip to the salon LL.

Is she intent on making that much of a statement? She is suffering through and by extension so are we? I wonder what her armpits look like or….oh never mind.

    1. I noticed the hair change from a couple of days ago. She changed her hair color (or what we saw was the real deal) to grey highlighs, heavy on the grey. Must be taking styling hints from Peking Buoy. What’s next a beard?

    2. Lisa probably had her private wig master put in a little grey at the roots in her wig. Its always the same hairstyle–
      and like Justin’s,
      it–never grows!

      1. It helps underline the great stress our mountebanks are under on behalf of the peons.

  12. Premier Francois Legault of Quebec says society failed Quebec as they are the 7th deadliest region in the world for Corona virus deaths.
I beg to differ with you premiere, society did not fail you it was your little prince Justin who failed you by allowing flights in from China and opening the border at Roxton for the sole purpose of votes.

  13. I’ve been anxiously awaiting an announcement from The Bong on a support program for trappers. When will the contribution by the trapping fraternity be recognized?

You think self isolating out on the trap line is easy? We’ve been doing our part to flatten the curve.

I think you’ve adequately covered the bases with farmers, fishermen , small business and big. It’s time to drill down into the weeds and remember those on the edges of society who have contributed so much to the development of the country from coast to coast to coast.

  14. The Liberal Party’s Globe and Mail is excited that the Islamic call to prayer is being heard for the first time in Canada. I wonder when the public stoning of infidel sluts start?

    1. When the public stoning starts, you can bet CBC news and the Globe will cheer the stoning on.

  15. Oh, Oh, Jason Kenney is in trouble now. The National Post reports that China is hitting back at Alberta’s premier. Kenny is obviously a racist bastard.

    1. From the article…“The Chinese government lied to the world about the danger and contagious nature of COVID-19, silenced whistleblowers, and did little to stop the spread of the disease. They must be held accountable for their actions,” said Schmitt.

The Chinese Leader and his henchmen are talking a good story BECAUSE they’re guilty and the shunning is starting to make them feel ashamed!

Someone ought to tell them that their own former citizens from long ago, who live here for decades, and no longer have ties to the Old Country, agree with fellow Canadians that the Chinese government has declared war on the world and that’s not n-i-c-e!

Not nice at all. Very evil of them and shame, shame on them!
      Tsk, tsk, tsk!

  16. More media outlets are excited about the muslim call to prayer being blared across Canada. Public floggings of infidels start next weekend. But please remember social distancing when watching.

    1. Which media outlets? Are the media’s women going to wear head scarves? Will Trudeau dictate Canadians wear those filthy rags on our heads? Will he shutter hair salons? Where will the public floggings take place? Answer please.

  17. If there was ever any doubt about ‘China as bully’ this should remove all doubt.

Kenney offered legitimate criticism of the chicoms.

Kenney is a premier of a province in a country that could best be described as a middle power. What are the powerful chicoms doing addressing criticism of a low level provincial politician? Who’s next a mayor of a town or village?

The chicoms protest too much. They have much to answer for.

  18. And now an example of unbiased quality journalism from the Liberal Party’s Toronto Star. Title of story is “The Grim Reaper Wore A Mask Too, And Killed Less People Than Trump”.

  19. An AZ vehicle crashed in Idaho this afternoon. 2 people dead and 14 dogs destined for Calgary adoption.

How do these dogs get across the border? Why do we need to adopt dogs in this country? Is there a shortage?

The dog rescue game is a scam.

    1. It is my understanding that the dogs come from Mexico. A friend who has a place there told me that they are neutered there before they are sent here. Canadian vets do it while on vacay.

There are a lot of dogs here for sure. The dog business is a billion dollar industry. Perhaps they are for human consumption? Naw, hope not. I do hear a lot of barking around. Some people don’t train their dogs very well unfortunately and actually let them bark incessantly. It is rather annoying quite frankly.

How is your new Lab puppy doing abt? What shade of cute is he?

      1. NR

Shot Jackson has taken over. Picked him up on Saturday. My old girl ( SGB Sweet Georgia Brown)was scared of him at first but she’s softened up and kinda likes him….a bit ha

        1. Aw- nice names!
I don’t have any pets- enjoyed a golden lab years ago. He was hit by a car — the driver even cried, so despondent at what happened.

Labs love to run and swim. And…you wouldn’t know it, not having cable TV, but they are TV commercial ‘stars’ now!!

          Enjoy him!
Here is a song dedicated to his arrival.

Watch Neil Young – “Old King” (Live at Farm Aid 2004)
          https://youtu.be/G_hT_dzKapc

          1. I named him after a country steel guitar player from the old school.

Shot Jackson was a player entrepreneur and inventor. I could tell stories about him but here’s one.

When a drunk stepped on Willie’s guitar and smashed it to pieces beyond repair in 1960, Willie called Shot who sold him a nylon string Martin and installed the Baldwin electronics from his smashed guitar. Willie plays that guitar (Trigger) to this day.

          1. abt–
            Good story @ 10:01

Call it mental telepathy across the miles — never heard of Shot Jackson but Abt — you’re famous… here! We were within one minute of posting. Ha!

This music is good stuff! It kind of cheers a person up.
I cried when I read how much music meant to ya. All I could write was TQ! Remember that?

          2. More Shot stories.

Shot and Buddy Emmons invented the ShoBud pedal steel guitar. It’s named after them Sho from Shot and Bud from Buddy.

They made them for years and then sold the line to one of the big musical instrument houses. At one time damn near every steel player had one.

Music is what I turn to. The day to day drudgery of life can over power you if you let it.

If there’s no dogs in heaven then I don’t want to go.
