When The FBI Does It, That Means That It’s Not Illegal

Relax, you won’t need a lawyer.

Flynn and McCabe have a past that predates the Trump presidency, one that provides ample motivation for the perjury trap that McCabe and James Comey set up after Flynn’s illegal unmasking. McCabe had a personal grudge against Flynn and the perjury trap was his revenge.

  1. Flynn should sue for a big number followed by an infinite number of zeros. Then so should the rest of them. And sue in their home states, not DC with its crooked judges.

  2. Recently viewed a Utube video of Jerome Corsi being interviewed by Eric Metaxas, good interview although I’d wish Eric would shut up once in a while. But It’s absolutely terrifying how law enforcement can really put the screws to you if they’ve got it in their heads to go after you. The “lie trap” is just one of a few disgusting tools in their arsenal to twist your arm…once you’re informed that you’ve lied to law enforcement for something as inane as a misremembered time or date and that you’ll be charged, more often than not they usually get what they want.
Not the case with Corsi though.
Takeaway? Lawyer up before chatting with them.

    1. you have to wonder who they destroyed previous to Flynn. I very much doubt he was their first.. There are probably people sitting in jail asking their lawyers for a re-do.

    2. General Flynn was accustomed to working with honourable and ethical people who put those values before personal gain.

He thought he was working with fellow professionals and patriots, not despicable liars looking at all through a partisan prism.

The partisan ones covered their tracks well, as the cited and posted McCarthy article makes plain. He didn’t smell a rat, despite his experience with the swamp. He, like many of us, were naive to believe the hounds would be called off once Trump won.

But the miscreants realized how deep they had stepped in it, that their backstories and alibis would take years to develop.

They would need time to pursue their Russian hoax. That’s the main reason Flynn had to go. Now it’s all boomeranged.

There’s a special place in hell, and hopefully a jail cell, for these seditious jack booted banana republic police statists.

      1. Well Flynn knew all the intelligence methods used by the FBI & CIA, but he was not the one to warn Trump that Obama was wire tapping the Trump Tower… It was Rogers of NSA that told Trump…. Intelligence gathering & FISA warrants are different in that all evidence obtained under a FISA warrant can be used in a Court of Law & used to get additional warrants……Obama should start watching for the EU/Russian/ China agents that might want him more than the USA…

and Trump security @ the Trump Tower (most likely retired FBI & CIA Agents) would have spotted the crew that was working the Tower… That was their JOB & they use similar methods….

        JMHO

    3. “It’s absolutely terrifying how law enforcement can really put the screws to you if they’ve got it in their heads to go after you.” The FBI has nothing on the horror show that passes for family court. Obviously you’ve never been through a divorce. That’s probably off topic but I assure you nothing the FBI does supersizes me after my experience with our legal system at the level of family court.

      1. Amen brother. Try being a divorced dad when CPS shows up at your house at 9PM cuz your ex decided you shouldn’t see your kids this weekend.

  3. When and if there are charges and convictions of this debacle in the supposedly pinnacle of western justice system we’ll have to wait and see. There are far too many coincidences, overlaps, and involvements of the major players in this Kabuki production to go un-noticed and unpunished. Should Barr, Durham, and now Jensen allow these multitudinous examples of criminal behaviour by the so-called judicial system to slip under the radar then the social contract that we operate under has been sacrificed and the American Constitution, that so many have fought and died for, is nothing more than scratches on a parchment suitable for hanging on the nail in the outhouse.

  4. what is this revenge thing?

it’s just liberals against conservatives…and what liberals do

    1. Uh. Inventing a pretense (Logan Act) and a perjury trap … via a “friendly” phone call … resulting in the complete and total economic RUIN of a long time dedicated public servant … goes a far bit past “politics as usual”. It is pure EVIL. Literally … the EVIL of Satan. The Godless Left are not bound to the Judeo-Christian morals and ethics as you and I. Their motto is “by any means necessary”. Our motto is “Love your neighbor as yourself”.

McCabe, Strzok, Comey, and a host of others should be made to spend every last dime they own to defend against a vigorous, bottomless pit of a government-funded and deployed team of attorneys charging this group with multiple abuses of power. PDJT should release the Kraken of Federal power to go after this group. Because … “an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth”. That’s all. Just a good old fashioned Old Testament Justice. I agree with KT McFarland who said the exact same thing on the TV this week.

And after that is accomplished … we Taxpayers will have to make restitution to Gen. Flynn. All because a group of rogue partisans weaponized the power of the Federal Govt. against an illegitimate target. We the People will have to pay for Obama’s cabal doing PURE EVIL in the wake of his reign.

  5. American citizens can end up in handcuffs very easily if they do not obey law enforcement, have a couple of drinks and take a walk, if you come across police for any reason, good luck.

But these sons of bitches destroy a person – and they get book deals. Un-frickin-believable.

TV commercials blow sunshine about the troops who “fight for freedom” in some Filthy-stan in the Middle East. But they don’t, it’s all bullish!t, no one has any more freedom now than twenty years ago, or fifty years ago, when we first sent troops over there. If anything, freedoms are disappearing fast.

  6. Well I’ll say my two cent worth. If someone or should be multiples aren’t arrested for this unbelievable crime the American Justice isn’t worth sh*t!!

    1. “American Justice isn’t worth sh*t!!” Yep! you have that Right, until lawyers actually represent their Clients and not the Corruptible System… We will have crap… The Family that hired an “Expert” who stood between them & their Lawyer were smarter than the average smock… Abolish self regulation powers now

    2. When justice is no longer blind, but is widely seen to be prejudiced, then the nation will not long stand. The 2nd amendment guarantees the 1st (Alphabet, Facebook, Twitter, pay attention). Those regions that provide the heart of the military and policing forces are ultimately the places that the praetorian guard are trying to stifle.

The USA has probably lasted longer than its founders had expected. They planned well. I wonder how many new nations will be formed from the dissolution to come (and whether it will be within my lifetime)?

  7. From my post last night on another thread:

Flynn was targeted for three reasons:
    1. He was hated by the Obama administration which was keen to destroy him.
    2. They also feared him because he had developed some instincts and knowledge of the swamp and its disdain for justice.
    3. He was on Trump’s team and vulnerable since, as mentioned before , his military service denied him resources for lawyers.

I think the actual perpetrators will wave the white flag to Sidney Powell, who is no Covington co-opted former litigators; and not fight dismissal of the charges. But this must go further and the actual criminals in the matter brought to justice.

  8. Suing democrats and socialists and the government always takes money out of the taxpayers pockets.

  9. I always laugh at the line on TV when police are interviewing a suspect: “If you’ve done nothing wrong, why do you need a lawyer?”.

The obvious answer: “Until the police and courts start restricting criminal convictions to guilty people exclusively, I’ll exercise my constitutional rights”.

Or, “That would be logical if the cops only convicted the guilty”.

Conservatives may want to remember this as Justin Stalin aggressively expands his control and power.

  10. The State has many options if it chooses.
Just as these corrupt “Officials” bent the rules to their will, prosecutors of them can do the same.
The moment they chose to violate the Oaths they swore, they became traitors, collecting wages under false pretences, all their personal wealth subject to state confiscation, their very lives forfeit..
The “Liberal” interpretation of statutes can be supplanted with the “conservative” translation.
Paid large salaries and granted enormous power, they were trusted to accept great responsibility and act accordingly.

These being “Life and death’ Matters.
Their lives are on the line.

Only fools and bandits lust after positions of power.
Truly decent people are thrust into these positions kicking and crying for an out..
    Because they know the cost.
A Demon sees only the power.

  11. Oh, it’s illegal. Breach of trust in such an egregious manner to illegally target POTUS, calls for jail time.

“The FBI Set Flynn Up to Preserve the Trump–Russia Probe.” (Andrew McCarthy)

Michael Flynn was not the objective. He was the obstacle.”

The answer to the what question has been clear for a long time: The FBI set a perjury trap for Flynn, hoping to lure him into misstatements that the bureau could portray as lies. In the frenzied political climate of the time, that would have been enough to get him removed from his new position as national security adviser (NSA), perhaps even to prosecute him. On that score, the new disclosures, startling as they are to read, just elucidate what was already obvious.”

But why did they do it? That has been the baffling question. Oh, there have been plenty of indications that the Obama administration could not abide Flynn. The White House and the intelligence agencies had their reasons, mostly vindictive. But while that may explain their gleefulness over his fall from grace, it has never been a satisfying explanation for the extraordinary measures the FBI took to orchestrate that fall.”

The only way the bureau could pull that off would be to conceal from the president the fullness of the Russia investigation — in particular, the fact that Trump was the target. That is why Flynn had to go.”

The former head of the Defense Intelligence Agency knew how the spy agencies worked. He knew where and how they kept secrets. He had enough scars from tangles with the intelligence bureaucracy that he knew how the game was played — how intelligence officials exploited information, or selectively withheld it.”

The perjury trap was set for Flynn out of necessity. If the Justice Department had informed the White House about recordings of Flynn and Kislyak discussing sanctions, and the FBI then asked for permission to interview Flynn, the bureau knew permission was sure to be denied. Flynn would be untouchable, and free to discover the entirety of the Obama administration’s extensive but secret effort to depict Trump and his minions as Russian operatives — an effort the FBI was determined to keep pursuing.”

And since this was going to be their only shot at Flynn, they had to try to make it a kill shot. They’d do a perjury trap. Flynn would be grilled about his conversations with Kislyak that had become such a media-driven controversy. But the bureau would not play the recordings for him. They would not refresh his recollection. They would not ask him to go line-by-line to help them understand the conversation. That is what they would do in a normal investigation, if they were really trying, say, to figure out what Russia was up to. The goal here was not to advance anyone’s understanding.

The goal was to get Flynn to lie. Not to lie so they’d have leverage to threaten a prosecution and thus pressure Flynn to reveal vital evidence he’d been concealing. They wanted him to lie for the sake of lying — so they could get rid of him.”

  12. Am I crazy or was there a whole spat of sudden resignations among major USA generals and admirals during the Obama era, most obviously the sudden demise of General Petraeus only a few months after he was appointed to head the CIA. He eventually resigned after agreeing to a plea deal with a misdemeanour. Could it be the Obama administration was actively using FISA and the FBI illegally and improperly to entrap all kinds of officials and get rid of anyone they didn’t like and replace said trouble makers and put their own people in there instead. I always wondered how and why the FBI was tapping his telephone.

    1. JB: You hit the nail on the head!! Obama’s name keeps coming up!! Now maybe they should take a look at Obama and see where he has made his millions as he was poor when in went into Office Of President!! People paying him to get rid of certain people makes you wonder!!

  13. Some people are naive and think this is a partisan issue, it is not, it is bi-partisan. The CIA killed JFK, with other interested participants such as Hoover and the FBI, RFK was killed by the CIA alone, to protect themselves. Nixon was set up by the CIA, and removed so that he was no longer a threat to them. Senator Prescott Bush and his son WH Bush know what was going on before it happened, and remained silent. There is a good reason WH Bush and Willy Klinton were such good buddies, just google Bush/Clinton and Mena Arkansas. There is a reason LIV’s like unDork do not participate in discussions like this, as it goes against the “orange man bad” narrative.
