  6. I think the level of bankruptcy and personal tragedy we will see will equal the 1930’s here in Alberta. Many small towns and many big business’s in the cities will fail. Already seeing it in my local small town. But as always this creates opportunities also even if it is just cleaning up the mess left by the destruction of the economy.

        We used to when we grew our own food. But for generations now we have always bought the food to feed ourselves. From the USA and later Mexico.
        The 3 largest economies globally are bankrupted. The USA, China, and the EU. This has never happened before all at the same time.
        The price of physical gold has decoupled from paper gold. Physical gold is almost not attainable the big boys have realized that they need a real hedge now.
        Canada is very quickly going to become much like Venezuela. The US is in big big trouble. The Baltic Dry Index is the lowest it has been since the Index was created. The Port of Los Angeles which is the largest container port in North America is pretty much empty.

        The line ups at food banks in the USA stretch for miles, People lined up in cars picking up food hampers. In Detroit/Chicago/NYC stores are boarded, robberies and burglaries are triple, we are rapidly descending into chaos, it seems.
        Then we will have a 2nd and a 3rd wave of virus. Much is going to change. Much will have to change. How long can a bankrupt country print money and just hand it out without any tax return.

And if I want to to invite a family member for dinner, then I should be free to do that. Wear a mask in public, avoid big crowds and avoid mingling with people in enclosed spaces like a bar, but beyond thst not much is bring accomplished with rules like closing parks and conservation ares. People behave as though they have no immunity whatsoever. It’s ridiculous.

        1. I used to have a cell phone around 20 years ago, but it didn’t work properly. I got another one as a backup. I couldn’t justify the expense as there weren’t that many people I spoke with and I could call my mother only so much.

          Both phones eventually ended up as junk box specials.
