The reality is that it came from wild animal food markets in China. Along I’m willing to bet the great bulk of other diseases. The people of China eating animals they shouldn’t be eating. The guy in this video makes several errors, such as blaming the outcome of the Chinese response on the fact that it is a centralized communist dictatorship. He says “if anyone disagrees they get fired”. This reaction is not limited to communism (i.e Judy Wilson-Raybould). Last night an expert on viruses was asked why Italy has seen so many deaths relative to other EU countries. His response was that someone from Italy happened to get sick a full 10 days before anyone else in Europe so they are merely 10 days ahead of the curve. When the individual returned to his home country he went to the hospital 4 times and was turned away. During these visits he infected a lot of people because no one appreciated how bad the virus is. The same thing (lots of sick people) will happen to the other EU countries and it will happen to the US and Canada. This expert asked “what is Canada doing that is so different than the rest of the world to explain the low number of infections”? The answer of course is nothing and this will catch up to Canada soon enough.
The fact is when something like this starts there is a natural inertia within all governments to take appropriate measures. This is not limited to China. Imagine having a country with a series of decentralized governments. How would that structure be better at preventing the spread of a virus than a centralized government. Imagine governments from New York, Florida, Texas and California all getting on the same page within a few hours to prevent the spread of the virus. It wouldn’t happen. Didn’t Pelosi try and squeeze in some abortion funding on the bill to allocate money to fight the coronavirus? And that is at the Federal level. How is the US government structure superior to China’s in fighting a virus?
Why did Donald Trump declare a national emergency if not to give the Federal government (i.e. centralized government) more power in fighting the virus?
