Why this blog?
Until this moment I have been forced to listen while media and politicians alike have told me "what Canadians think". In all that time they never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

Canada’s not in a recession until your neighbors in Toronto feel it.
I’m sure Blackie is laying on that beach in Costa Rica, deeply worried about the latest economic news.
And the tears he might shed are tears of joy at the prospect that many of those jobs that were lost were in Alberta.
By the time Moronto feels it, we will be frozen and starved out, here on the prairies. Juthtin will make sure they don’t really feel that pain until he has his majority back.
It wouldn’t be the fact that environmental rules and regulations, taxes and climate change believers are all factors in creating an economic nightmare that we will never wake up from, would it? Naa… it has to be blamed on an auto strike in the United States and if that doesn’t cut it, blame the big bad Orange Man. Lord give me strength in this Season of Goodwill to my fellow man to “hold the line”.
I’ll bet that we will find out that this has nothing to do with the auto strike in the U.S.
It will come out that it is all Prime Minister Freeland’s fault.
Pffft. Third world ignoramuses driving drunks and delivering food is the future economy. Along with working for a level of government. No problems to see here. Smoke a blunt and screw the future.
“unexpectedly?” by whom?
Been laid off for three weeks now. Was told I would be working right up to Christmas then continue after the New Year…didn’t see that one coming.
Not one reply from the resumes and phone calls I’ve sent out since then.
Just another cog in the wheel…which has fallen off the cart.
Hi
Let’s hope things get better for you. Hang in there and don’t let the set-backs get you down.
Thnx Mike. Trusting I’ll be working soon.
Sorry to hear that, but you can get a job in the exploding green renewables industry!
I know exactly what you’re going through I’ve been in that situations far too many times over the years. It could be a long haul for you. Hang in there, mate.

could always become a teacher…
“Apparently, those third graders really appreciate it
when you go the extra mile.”

Iceman. Hey it could be worse. I got laid off 3 years ago, not 3 weeks.
Growing The Economy From The Large Intestine Out.
When 60% of the political establishment is at war with this country’s most significant wealth generator, based on global mass hysteria, I’m surprised the decline isn’t greater. You get what you vote for in the collective.
And every windmill needs 60 to 80 gallons of oil to turn, blades magically appear, not hauled by boat and truck from Brazil, turbines from Germany are delivered by fairies, not diesel burning trucks/trains and bunker burning boats, steel comes from China on the backs of Unicorns, not those boats, the 3 to 400 tonnes of concrete is delivered in solar powered concrete trucks. Yes it’s the world of shiney pony now, sunny ways.
And on-going consumption.
A while back a bloke over at Red Power mentioned that he hauled a semi load of Mobil 1 to a south east Colorado wind farm every fortnight
bart, no matter how many times the truth is pointed out the “green” terminally stupid will ignore the reality.
Westerners might give more thought to escaping, loyalty unreturned becomes toxic.
Staying on board this sinking Kleptocracy does nothing for our children’s future and guts our retirement plans as well.
Can Ahh Duh has repeatedly stated they want nothing to do with our oil and gas and that they intend to make sure we can do nothing with it,while we remain in confederation.
Why do westerners doubt their word?
And as one of the last regions to believe in personal property and personal responsibilities..we are not leaving.
We were abandoned decades ago.
Canada has dedicated itself to preventing development, innovation and personal freedom for decades, of course the economy will reflect that.
When we leave the 40 cent dollar will be a thing of beauty.
