The mob of about 500 lawyers — apparently angered over alleged misbehavior by some of the hospital doctors toward one of their colleagues the month before — stormed the Punjab Institute of Cardiology on Wednesday, punching and beating doctors and other staff.
They also beat the doctors and medics with sticks, and smashed windows, doors and medical equipment at the only government-run heart hospital in the province of Punjab.
A police vehicle was burned near the hospital while several cars and motorcycles were damaged in the parking area of the facility. Police say they had to use tear gas to disperse the mob. The situation took several hours to bring under control.

A question. Why do top rate Canadian universities train 1,000 Saudi medical students while we bring in doctors like these Pakistani to treat us? Just wondering.
Those two are not related. Canadian universities love foreign students because they pay foreign student fees which are much higher. For the universities it is just a business and for Saudi students their fee is usually paid for by the Saudi govt so they have an obligation to return. When I was a student we had some students from there and that is what I was told. As for bringing in doctors, that is an immigration issue.
Same thing here in the US … the highest percentage of all my doctors are FOB dot.Indians. WTH? I guess our colleges are filled with gender studies and environmental studies “students” … while REAL sciences go begging.
And as if to make the situation even MORE critical … the UC System is being SUED to STOP using the SAT test as a means of admission. Seems it’s “culturally biased” against “blacks” and “Hispanics” …

Amnesty International says there are +8500 people in Pakistan that have been sentenced to death, there was a moratorium on these for about 6 years but they haven’t caught up yet.
