Being in the army or what ever else there is, you don’t have to worry about a thing, everything is taken care of. It was so when I was drafted for 26 months.
It gives you certain grasp of discipline. You still have to make your way when you get out. It’s somewhat better than taking masters in women’s studies since you still had to deal with the real life situations.
Armies vary as much as the societies from which they are recruited. The do have some things in common and do tend to affect those who serve with some of the same conditions and experiences but still, those who serve are individuals and are affected in different ways to different degrees.
