  1. Gee, that sure sounds familiar. Isn’t there a certain country with a crooked federal cabinet and a prime minister guilty of ethical breaches that’s like that? Gee, its name escapes me for some reason…..

    1. That’s because it’s Post National

I was musing today that it is hard to believe that we have a government intent on shutting down the economy with their anti-resource development position and carbon tax BS.

      1. Robert the fact that Canadians are willing to accept the destruction of the economy and their individual freedom is an ongoing process. This has been happening under every government in the country ever since the second world war. There really is no saving Canadians because they don’t want to be saved. They will be quite content if they wind up being controlled just like the people in China. I see no evidence contrary to that statement.

          1. CBC heavily edits the comments and more recently has been heavily editing the articles you are allowed to comment on. There used to be some rollicking debates about the relative merits of climate change in the daily dose of climate change alarmism but I have noticed that more and more we are not being permitted to comment on the climate change propaganda.

Amen to that. Urbanization has resulted in such a state of dependency that at any one time at least six out of ten Canadians will vote for the parties that promise to supply and change their diapers. And that figure rises to seven out of ten in places like Montreal, Ottawa, Toronto, Winnipeg, and Vancouver.

          1. James, 100% correct and something I have been saying for decades. Too bad that people lack that which made us free and wealthy. Something for nothing always leads to nothing. Our so called “first nations”, who were never a nation, are a classic example of what you get when you get everything given to you.

  2. This could be appropriately subtitled Der Layen The Cheat, Michel The Loser, and Lagarde The Crook. It’s like a really bad version of The Cook, The Thief, His Wife, and Her Lover.

  3. Yes. But Brexit is just the first step to taking back control.

Britain’s institutions must be purged of the sorts of people in charge of the EU, and steps taken to make sure they never have power over Englishmen again.

Bring back the gallows and start using it on globalist swine and their whores.

    1. The problem starts with salaries and pensions. Once you start paying politicians, the wrong sort of people start applying for the jobs. Akin to the sort of people who want unsupervised access to children; which professions offer that?

Once “career civil servant” became an option, the game was lost. The iron law of bureaucracy took over.

    2. That is the only way”We the People”will gain control of OUR counties.Blood in the streets is coming.

  4. I am ready for the ALTAEXIT, or the SASKALTEXIT, or BUFFALEXIT !!! Any name will do.

  5. As a common market and economic bloc, the EU made some sense.

As an aspiring “United States of Europe”, not so much.

The British are absolutely right to question the subordination of their longstanding parliamentary democracy – and their national sovereignty – to what is in essence an unelected “Euro-bureaucracy”.

    1. Which tribe?

Israel has nothing to gain from the farce that is the EU and plenty to gain from the restoration of free, prosperous democracies in Europe that recognize Israel’s right to exist and the necessity of containing and ultimately destroying Amalek.

The EU’s leadership are sickeningly anti-Semitic.

      1. As are most Jews in the US. They long to reprise their role helping Lenin and Stalin break those 50 million eggs. Their intent is to destroy national sovereignty (that of Israel included) and wipe Western culture off the face of the earth. All to get their One World Government “utopia”. BAMN.

But then surely Schwartz György and Bloomberg and Zucker and Zuckerberg and Schiff and Nadler are outliers, eh???

The paradox hanging over his words is that the most successful period for Britain’s people, its economy, its equality and harmony and its cultural standing, by almost any measure, was the period that began around the time of the Maastricht Treaty and ended when Brexit loomed

    1. Dizzy, just curious, did you actually watch the video?

As a North American (I presume), would you be fine with the top leaders of your political institutions getting appointed by others, and you having no direct way to get rid of them?

      1. You’re quite sure they’re not?

Trump is hated as much as he is in large part for not being handpicked by America’s creditors and pre-screened for loyalty.

  7. America is bad enough, what with its “Bush dynasty” and ~shudder~ “Clinton dynasty” … but Christine Legarde is the poster child of Deep Statism … Deep, Deep, Corrupt Statism sucking nay, gulping at the taxpayers teats (all of em … at once).

Hooray for the (bare) majority of Brits who still had enough self-respect to throw off the chains of a corrupt EU State.

And let me add that the EU has turned the entire world economy NEGATIVE … because that’s what Socialism/Communism does … print worthless money. Devalue their own currency. So Euro and International $€¥ are pouring into the US and depressing our Treasury Rates. That’s what happens with non-productive Communist States … they are bloodsucking freeloaders.

  8. If the UK remains in the EU it will roughly approach what would have happened had Germany won WW2. The national socialism is now within a larger “nation” with more widely shared (appointed) leadership rather than under the Fuhrer and his mobsters. That so many UK citizens are fighting to remain under the EU jackboot is sickening.

  9. To be fair I have high hopes that Ursula Van Den Layan will do for the EU what she did for the German Military – eviscerate it.

  10. I do not think England will be the only country to break away from the EU. When the Europeans decided to join
into a union, my first thought was that this would eventually end up in disaster. No matter how sophisticated
the continentals are, by ceding power to a central government body, sooner or later a nationalist movement will
    come along and demand independence.

That was the beauty of the American Founding Fathers. They created a central government that was strictly
limited to the things within the pages of the Constitution, leaving all other political powers to the states
or the people respectively. The best government is that closest to the people. Just like we Americans hate
a powerful central government, the people of Europe will soon realize that an unaccountable power in Brussels
is not their cup of tea or warm beer.

  11. Im confooosed.
central planning and concentration of powah was central to the policies and methods of mike harris of the ontariowe
    CONservatists in his day.
soooooo current CONservatists, which is it?
or mebbe ‘central planning and concentration of powah’ ONLY if it is *CONservatists* in powah?
