It appears that KSPS will be repeating that Woodstock documentary this coming week. I might take a look at it, but it conflicts with a Joel McCrae movie on TCM that I’m thinking of watching. Something tells me that the horse opera will win.
In the early 1980s, one of the main American TV networks sort of showed the Woodstock movie. It was a 2- or 3-hour special and focused mainly on the music, using portions of it.
I watched the whole thing on PBS a few years later, and, at the time, I didn’t think it was all that bad. Then, 2 or 3 years ago, TCM aired it and I thought it was a yawner. I’m not really interested in seeing it again.
Most of the time it’s background music for me. I’ll probably tune in at some time or another. I can record up to 5 shows simultaneously on PVR, (telus optic tv) a system which I highly recommend.
The movie sounds good!
