Art Of The Deal

‘Brutal consequences’

Ansell chief executive Magnus Nicolin has warned China of “brutal” consequences as manufacturers leave the country over rising costs and fears at the escalation in trade war with Donald Trump.

“So many manufacturers are moving out of China at breakneck speed. You don’t see it in the China-reported GDP growth numbers yet. I suspect that sooner or later it will be visible,” Mr Nicolin said.

  1. thank you. thank you President Trump for ‘stepping up to the plate’ and FINALLY some clear indications that the
‘enough is enough’ moment has arrived.

    1. No they won’t. The rising middle class has too much to lose.

And with so many one child families, I suspect not to many will want to rush off and die in a war, thus extinguishing the family line.

      1. When America’s middle class was killed by the China-Corporate partnerships, the result was; record suicides, record food stamps, record fentanyl deaths … record poverty. So then, China’s middle class is THAT much more sophisticated than America’s ?

Perhaps they’ll all return to the rice paddies and soybean fields? Return to their lower-class agrarian roots?

Just wait till the bags of tainted pet food start piling up on the docks. Apple iPhones sitting in warehouses. China was able to build ghost towns of high rise buildings … for a while.

        1. Take a look at what happened to the Soviet Union.

China won’t want to repeat that experience.

      2. There are many millions alive today in China who survived the famines, deprivation and general backwardness of the 60’s Great Leap Forward and Cultural Revolution, all caused directly by their own political leadership. And until now, their offspring – an entire generation – have experienced the prosperity of one continuous economic boom, and don’t know what a serious downturn looks like.

The China government must tread extremely carefully at this point. A course reversal will have dramatic negative consequences.

    2. That was always the plan—with the swords to be used on the hairy butter-reeking barbarians, obviously, not their own emperor—much less each other.

But they will. China’s banks will fail, and the PLA will mutiny en masse, driving the Politburo into exile and then getting serious about slaughtering each other for years or decades to come to see who can gain the new Mandate from Heaven.

That day, incidentally, will be a good day for a moratorium on Chinese immigration to Canada.

  2. Yes. They’re moving out of China—headed to countries like Sri Lanka, where people are still happy to work for the price of a bowl of rice a day.

Anywhere but the United States, where offering good factory jobs to working-class white Americans would make Trump look good.

The captains of global industry thought better of ordering the Fed to blow up the banks. That doesn’t mean they’ll ever hire a working-class white American if they have any choice—except as cannon fodder in Middle Eastern wars waged to ensure reliable Chinese access to cheap fossil fuels.

    1. Moving to Indonesia, where folks are happy to see their 10yo daughters properly trained (through 7-day week’s of overtime) in how to apply the toxic adhesive to the footbed of NIKE Air Jordan’s. For a 10yo’s wages.

  3. This same story could be written about how the obnoxious and semi-retarded Left is creating the same situation in Canada.

    1. I HOPE my government ‘Red Flags’ anyone going by the suffix … -various. Most likely to “go postal” in the local Walmart.

    2. One more time again still. You are going to have to sit back and enjoy some popcorn before you get to pin that 666 on a new political world order.

Trump is not your man. He isn’t making nice with the Chicoms. He’s thrown a big wrench into the Neocon Globalist Project. Arrayed now against the corrupt, degenerate camp of Neocon Globalists is a “nationalist” camp deeeeeeeeeeeep within the bowels of the beast. They are gaining ground and are sidelining the Neocon Globalists & supporting elite liberal perverts.

Mind you here in Canada we have a strong contingent of Anti-Trump globalist butt sniffers across party lines who are OK in hitching our wagon to the globalist project. They are a growing threat North of the border & are flying below the radar. You are astute to recognize this threat. Things here will have to get worse before people get awoked like South of the border.

      1. Every single globalist Wall Street whore on TV is screaming bloody murder that Trump has interrupted their gravy train. They are getting hysterical. If they can murder Epstein with such ease … they’ll eventually get to Trump. I hope MY PRESIDENT has a food-taster …

      2. “He isn’t making nice with the Chicoms.”

Policies aren’t aligned by being ‘nice’. Problem + reaction = pre-determined solution…standard Hegelian Dialectic between the ‘Old Hegelians and the ‘Young’ Hegelians.
Nobody can deny that the intent of the conflict is for alignment of policies.

Yes, no one world order yet, still wars and rumours of wars. Mark 13:7
When they cry peace and safety, then sudden destruction.

1Thessalonians 5:3  For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.

  4. China is in trouble (by their own hand). Essentially, the populace is getting uppity. There’s a little town (about 120,000) up in the Northeast of China called Tengao. The plan was to build an incinerator there. However, the residents didn’t like the health hazards this would create so they….(drum roll) protested. First a few, then a few 100, then a few thousand. Keep in mind this is back woods China out in the middle of nowhere. The Little Red Book crew ended up having to send a massive riot police force up there to calm things down ( IOW threaten the locals). And that’s just a small comparative town.

They’re losing control. This deal in Hong Kong is more of a message (although, I think a bit too late) to all the other locations across the mainland who might have the audacity to stand up for something. Things are about to start getting scarce (including employment). That isn’t the best way to control your subjects. The US is about to make is worse on China by working a bi-lateral trade deal with Japan (#1 economy and #3 economy on the planet). I suspect they will then invite in others from the now defunct Pacific Trade Deal. Essentially, it will be seen as a harbinger on Far East trade monopolizing by China. They’re going to have to play ball…and here’s the kicker….they’re going to need a brand new market to grow their lost trade. Hmmm….I wonder where that might be….Oh, right, North (and then South) Korea.

  5. “So many manufacturers are moving out of China at breakneck speed. You don’t see it in the China-reported GDP growth numbers yet.”

And likely never will see it reported. China is the “Land of the Knockoffs”. Those manufacturers were already seeing more of their stock produced and sold than they knew was made and sold. Just wait ’til the big ‘move out’.
They’ll be selling so much more than they’re making, it’ll make their heads spin.

  6. Now is the time to really apply the pressure. Canada needs to tariff the crap out of China and also tax all exports to China with the receipts going to Canadian exporters. Tax the heck out of all capital coming into Canada. Since capital flight out of China was already a raging torrent, it must be ramping up to a hurricane storm surge by now. Should be easy pickings. I noticed stupid Save on Foods used to label food as “China” origin. They now have changed the label to “Asia”. “Hey.., Jimmy Pattison you old dummy, if it says “Asia” I still wont buy that crap”.

    1. “Canada needs to tariff the crap out of China and also tax all exports to China with the receipts going to Canadian exporters.”

FO slaver. Tax yourself; keep your hand out of my pocket.

      1. Haha Unme. You are the dumbest guy on the Internet. And by dumb I don’t mean dumb. I mean duhhh um.

Duhhh um punks like you stupid enough to buy China need to be taxed. It’s like a stupidity tax. Just like the carbon tax that you also stupidly support.

        1. I am curious to know how UnMe got “slaver” out of that.

Were the British navy being slavers whilst conducting anti-slave raids?

  7. Trump has really f*cked the dog here. No deals and economic carnage will not play well in 2020. I guess one Smoot-Hawley wasn’t enough. And then there’s all those treasuries China owns…

    1. Sorry to break it to you, UnMe. There’s not going to be a recession in the States. Trump isn’t going anywhere.

And China does not have a Mandate from Heaven to rule the world. They’re just another pack of heathens whose destruction will the next footnote in the history of Israel—the true Chosen People of Almighty God.
