The lawn signs in the ridiculously late by-election in Nanaimo say “Team Trudeau” which I hope they use in October. Fortunately for the alpha females and the eunuch leader of the Conservatives, the Spawn will continue leading the LPC through the next election. After which he will be dumped for someone more dangerous and naturally more competent, someone like Joyce Murray who could more easily be leading the Greens in terms of theology. The Spawn has been incomplete since his brain trust Butts has left him but he still has his father’s name which brings out the Canadian brain-dead voter like no other.
People are forgetting that, though most voters are immensely stupid, they will react when carbon taxes prevent their getting food, beer and weed. Justin couldn’t get revenue from the handful of billionaires, the middle-class, certainly not the oil sector he destroyed and marijuana. He has only the carbon tax cash cow left. He will squeeze the average Canadian for everything he or she has. THEN people would sooner vote for shrubberies than Justin.
Whenever an article begins with “cratering in the polls”, I have to take it with a grain of partisan salt. Well? Are they?

Liberals are in a bit of trouble, right now, in minority territory, but the interesting part is the upward trend of the Greens.
That people are actually willing to park their votes with Canada’s foremost wine-soaked cat lady is saying something.
But Trudeau’s leadership numbers don’t look catastophic yet, while Scheer’s leadership numbers again show he excites no audience beyond the guests at great aunt Myrtle’s Easter Monday brunch.

I’m not convinced “I’m not Trudeau” is enough. I’m bracing myself for the prospect of having a gen-you-wine indian gur-oo as the balance of power.
