Why this blog?
Until this moment I have been forced to listen while media and politicians alike have told me "what Canadians think". In all that time they never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

Right next door to Singh, will be on Singh’s rear literally as well as figuratively.
Don’t leave any shiny things out….
When I saw this story on the internet my first thought was they probably went broke because of staffing cost, dozens if not hundreds of lefties with high-paying positions, “no-show jobs”, any kind of non-profit institution like this, and most charities, have a primary function to provide paycheques for lefties who haven’t yet managed to get on the public payroll.
Newseum?
Change the name to Nauseum and it might have a better chance of survival.
There once was a man named Rather
Who was fired for excessive blather
And progressive rants so ad nauseum
They required their own museum
Trouble was, the public couldn’t ‘hack’ er.
Nice melding of today’s posts! Clever, clever … person … that nold!
Thank-you Kenjii.
The limerick packs laughs anatomical
Into space that is quite economical.
But the good ones I’ve seen
Hardly ever are clean
And the clean ones so seldom are comical.
You’ve got the meter down pat.
Down Pat … hmmm … I seem to recall a filthy limerick about that
Nold, you must have had razerblades for breakfast today.
So sweet to see that the Newseum was selling MAGA hats and “Fake News” t-shirts, was probably keeping it afloat for the past while.
Once the MSM and leftists found out these were being sold, they probably pulled their support and funding.
Interesting that they moved to this location in ’08, spent $450 million on this new building, just as the media had installed their new Commie President into the Oval Office.
The demise of the free press as they showed their true leftist colors.
Payback can be a…
It should have had a t-shirt that said ‘shoulda learned to code’
I believe the straw that broke the Newseums back was … the venerated (aka hateful leftist fool) Tom Brokaw’s ridiculous HATE SPEECH on Meet the Press yesterday …

“conservative Americans FEAR having brown grandbabies”
What a pompous, aloof, elitist, leftist ASSHOLE! I should introduce him to my half-Black, half-Asian daughter-in-law … and how my wife and I cannot WAIT for the birth of our … “brown” … grandbaby. Mr Brokaw must have been … projecting … his own RACISM onto the lives and beliefs of people he does not understand in the least. But the left ONLY HAS “racism” in their political toolkit. They think “racism” will save their political skins … their old, white, wrinkled, botoxed skins.
The Newseum would rather close their doors, than add Brokaw’s jaded, hackneyed … “news” …
If they’d learned anything from their own history, the Newseum would have been a website sponsored in part by Google ads and maintained by a retired hack who had swallowed his pride and learnt to code.
And probably would have been profitable to boot.
It makes sense to me to shut it down, there is no more mainstream journalism to record for history anyways.
Maybe in a flash of honesty(ha), they will re-open it as a Propaganda Museum. 95% of the floor space could be dedicated to educating people all about Fake News, the strict controlling of narratives and yellow journalism. They can then dedicate one of the broom closets to the complete history of honest journalism.
Been there twice. It was awesome- spent almost the whole day there the first visit. A real shame that it’s closing.
There was some political overtones but the items they had there outweighed it – checkpoint Charlie, radio mast from 911, the parking garage door from watergate.
I was there once. Paid for that exhorbitant admission for my parents, my brother, and his wife. I thought the museum sucked. Total rip. I came away hating left-wing journalists even more than I did before. Which I didn’t think was humanly possible.
“…Which I didn’t think was humanly possible”
