Showing Up To Riot

“Far-right! Far-right! Far-right!”

Sunday’s poll provides striking evidence that France has shifted towards the far right since Macron easily beat Le Pen, leading what was then known as the Front National, in the second round of voting in the 2017 French presidential election.

It also gives further cause to believe that the European Parliament elections in 2019 are shaping up to be a major battle between centrist, pro-EU parties such as Macron’s LREM, and far-right formations that want to stop immigration and globalisation.

Find a new slur.

Related: Major protests are scheduled for tomorrow.

  1. Well… really doesn’t take too much to be that far to the right from these wack job communists. Maybe we shouldn’t view it as the insult these loser commies think it is..

    1. Here is the latest report out of France. New video of French Police lining up high schoolers execution style. This should bring out the Yellow Vests for a massive rally tomorrow. I realise that Trudeau has told his State owned MSM in Cuba North to publish nothing about the Yellow Vests, it might upset his flock. They might get ideas, they might buy knitting needles or rope. Also in the graphs showing taxes in OECD no mention of Canada, which is the highest of all taxation levels in the so called Free World. Rise up my sheep, rise up and Baaa at your Masters. https://www.zerohedge.com/news/2018-12-07/viral-video-french-students-lined-execution-style-sparks-outrage-protesters-want

  2. The people in Europe, the equivalent of you and me on Maple and Poplar Streets, have had enough of the elites and their Globalist machinations.

Max Bernier has tapped into this sentiment.

See also my post under Reader Tips. Too long to repeat here.

Find a new slur? The Marxists think they have total control of the media and can label anyone to the right of Lenin as “far-right”.

    1. I changed my mind. It is too important. If the yellow vests and Brexiteers lose, Soros wins.

How do you like your cake? Topped with the smell of urine and feces?

Let them eat cake is the Elite’s response. This holds for the US and for Canada as well.

“The Riots In France Aren’t Just About Gas Taxes, But About The West’s Decline

While protests and car-burnings are actually common in France, what’s happening now is much worse than usual and will not go away anytime soon. What observers should know is that this is not about fuel prices or Macron’s incompetence; this is about the fall of the West.”

Meanwhile in Canada. Why would farmers need diesel fuel and fertilizer in Saskatchewan? Why would an Ontario guy or girl need a high paying job at GM, Kelloggs, Heinz, or GM Diesel and other places that are gone? Why would Joe from Red Deer need to fire up his oil tanker truck and collect the oil from the pump jacks? Why indeed when you can get a smile from Climate Barbie and get to ruffle Justin’s hair, and work at Starbucks instead.

In the US, “…many conservatives fear that Trump may be the last Republican president before the inevitable decline brought on by liberals’ stranglehold on the culture.”

“…progressive policies will slowly but surely work their ruin on any society,…” See also the Athenian democracy 3 thousand years ago for the pattern. See the book “Clio’s Bastards”.

  3. There are also protests scheduled right across Canada as well….
    …I’ve got my YELLOW Vest…and I’m going.

Its time folks, to stand up and show TinkerBell that we’ve had enough of his Faux Femisim, Anti Canadianism, Anti Albertaism & Full on love of ISLAMism. This along with his NAZI like enabler, Gerald Butts ( 2nd coming of Adolf Eichman), Whose latest rant..? screaming at Canadians that the UN compact on migration does not surrender our Sovereignity… uhuh.

    1. ” Gerald Butts ( 2nd coming of Adolf Eichman)”

      Have to disagree.
Butts is more of a Goebbels than an Eichmann.

    1. The explanation is in the article. They label the left wing parties as “centrist”. Believing they are centrist makes anyone on the right seem far right to them. They’re absolutely clueless.

      1. “They’re absolutely clueless.”

I beg to differ – they know EXACTLY what they’re doing, and among other things, that’s controlling the language and putting their opponents in a permanent defensive mode.

  4. I’ve mentioned before that the ruling class is terrified that populists on the right, left and center will realize that they have a common oppressor – the political and chattering class (and increasingly authoritarian corporate VIPs?).

If populists join forces against the ruling class then the political and chattering class are screwed. The ruling class have far more in common with each other than with regular Joes and Janes, regardless of their political ideologies. This prevents them from pulling back on their authoritarian policies. Perhaps keeping populists fighting each other is a deliberate tactic, fomenting political polarization and identity politics.

Unfortunately for them, once a certain level of taxes, unpopular policies and abuse is reached society destabilized and tax serfs on the left, right and center will create temporary alliances against the ruling class. Like an iceberg, the vocal populists, rioters and protectors might only be the visible part of more massive anti-government sentiment.

  5. Whenever I see the term ‘far right’ used I know I’m probably reading the rantings of a brain-washed leftard. This term has become a ‘dog whistle’ to those who are struggling with a debilitating case of ACDS. (Anything Conservative Derangement Syndrome).

  6. Regarding the iceberg analogy, another way to describe it is a preference cascade. Here’s one definition :

“The concept of the Preference Cascade is credited to Turkish economist
Timur Kuran. Glenn Reynolds described the idea in a 2002 op-ed. In short, average people behave the way they think they ought to, even though that behavior might not reflect their own personal feelings.

Given a sufficient “A-HA!” moment when they discover that their personal feelings are shared by a large portion of the population their behavior may change dramatically. ”

Quiet resentment can quickly turn to civil disobedience and political turmoil. Since politicians, the media, corporate giants and academics have very little contact, understanding or empathy for the average white collar and blue collar Joes/Janes who live outside of their social and professional circles, they completely miss or willfully ignore the emergence of an anti-government preference cascade. Too busy ass kissing and ass covering VIP power players in their VIP world to see the little people in their deplorable little world. Populists see those little people.

  7. Have you noticed how Macron has been divorced from any political party affiliation? Very specific political parties are smeared as … “right wing”, however Mr. Macron appears to be an orphan. Sure … HE … is unpopular, but what of his political party? What of his “moderate” political party that was so “popular” when it defeated Marine Le Pen? *crickets*

  8. In a world where Stephen Harper, the only real liberal in the last election, is “far right” it’s obvious that anyone to the right of Karl Marx is an extreme danger to the plan.

    1. Yes, we have closet Marxists, aka “progressives,” deigning themselves as “moderates” so according to political relativity, the new rage, those who favour good but limited government are of the “far right.” Same crap, different decade.

After all moderates assault political opponents, consider every solution a new tax or rule, seek to crush debate and discourse with PC and think anyone who doesn’t see it their collectivist way is mentally ill and/or “uneducated.”

They tell us “incorrect ideologies lead to violence and war, but don’t mention the most bloody pogroms have been between complementary ideologies competing, Nazi Germany (brown shirt massacres and other purges), Communist Russia (Lenin and Stalin gleefully wiping out the competition) and China (the Great Leap forward into the mass grave) spring to mind immediately.

Methinks, given what has been happening in the UK, Paris, the US and maybe a little bit here, the populist teaching point is heading the way of the intellectual yet idiots self-installed political ruling class.

  9. How far will we let this Liberal government go before we have riots in the streets?

With governments/leaders who refuse to listen to reason, listen to the people in a democracy we have a dictatorship.
We need to fight this with all our options before we have no rights left.

    1. You do mean Canadians, right? We are too polite. We just bitch about it and ask how far do I bend over.

  10. You don’t need to agree with all that the different nations are for.
Neither you need to agree with the parties that represent a percentage of population.

It is a long way to the characterization of the British media cartel. They seem to have gone to the same totalitarian dictatorship courses. You may wonder if they live in the real world as opposed to the creation of their own mind. There is plenty of evidence that their minds are corrupt.

Of course they, the so called “journalists” are the wealthy in compact with the politicians. They masturbate each other, the “journalists” want a story and politicians will give them suitable meme.
They are the cancer that feeds on each other.

They, the media and the governments as that in Germany would like to tell the other nations on how to live. They started a war, this time they are taking over without a shot. It’s their way or the others are assorted ‘ists of every kind.
While it is admirable how the Germans conduct their economy and society, it should stop at their border. Help or assistance is good if asked for. If they want crowds of welfare seeking people, one would say go for it. It is though not for them to say to others to take a quota. There is zero obligation to do that.

It is seriously arrogant of the press to call people names because they don’t follow the cartels diktat. From where they are, everything and everyone is far right, there is none so ignorant than those that think they got it.

  11. “Far right” is meaningless. I suggest calling them workers. Or maybe peasants. After all the old aristocrats despised the peasants, why wouldn’t the current bunch.

  12. Find a new slur? I’m sure they have others, Kate. Just not ones they’re ready to print for fear they’ll unmask themselves as communists, Jew-haters and perverts.

Even the Grauniad doesn’t dare call us “kulaks,” “Zionist sons of dogs and pigs” or “breeders”—yet.
