    1. Gerald Butts and his Ecolings (Like Maolings but green) are toasting Champagne; mission accomplished: oil sands shut down.

Time for Andy 2% to aggressively take up the cause “Build That Pipe! Dig That Ore!”. Waiting …

You would think the unity and economic development of Canada would be a rallying cry for an election campaign wouldn’t you. A NATIONAL PROJECT just like the railroad.

      1. Robert
The Liberals destroy not develop. It’s fake unity. He went around handshaking today, CTV @ 11:30 did a ‘great’ job @ fake news.

(btw: the car soccer game looked like fun, score looked like 1 – 0)

        1. Checked the Globe and Mail this morning, and the corrupt, pro-Liberal newspaper all but censored the story about the story of 2,000 Albertans demonstrating in front of Trudeau’s visit. The moribund paper had a story, buried in the business section, of Premier Notley begging Trudeau for more help for the oil industry, and of Trudeau’s non-response (“I feel your pain.”). But this article mentioned, only in one setence buried deep in the
piece, that 800 (sic) people attended the pro-oil demonstration, and that it disrupted downtown Calgary traffic.

It seems like the $600-million federal bribe to the establishment media cartel is starting to reap dividends for Justin Trudeau.

          1. David, check this too…

At least the “Sun” newspaper is still publishing articles, here’s one more article on the topic. (our Calgary Herald now looks like a skinny, unrecognizable, rag)

( there are businesses that have closed in the city; there are homes for sale, more than a few short years ago, and they are being bought up…by whom, I don’t know, but there are many cars with B.C. plates roaming around. They shop and load up at Costco, thus avoiding B.C. sales tax. A lot more foreigners are moving in. I am good at detecting languages – at the local large Grocery store I hear French, Polish, Spanish, Italian, Mandarin and some that sound like #%&*@*/+#? )

          2. Whenever someone says that they feel my pain, I start looking for fingerprints on my windows.

  1. As a PSW drove me past a nursing home today, she told me one of the staff is a male who wears a kilt all the time and is called Scott. One of the Alzheimer patients visited by this PSW said “I don’t want him looking after me.” That was her perogative as patients aren’t forced to accept him, but she also doesn’t receive the care as no one else steps in to replace him. He is transitioning and will soon be a female with a different name, but maybe the same kilt, so this is now the new reality the elderly will be forced to deal with. Why was he hired I wondered, but could the nursing home have refused his application? We know the answer to that one.

  2. More countries are now defecting from signing the UN Global Compact on Migration. Now Australia has opted out. The US refused and dropped out of the talks at an early point (Our decisions on immigration policies must always be made by Americans and Americans alone,” Nikki Haley, then the U.S. Ambassador to the UN, said in December, adding that a global approach to the issue was “simply not compatible with U.S. sovereignty.”) Switzerland, Hungary and a number of other countries are also balking at the signing the document.
While it is being painted as “toothless”, there are some concerns. As this article points out, the compact invites political and policy pressures to conform. (I believe the Paris Accord was also presented as “non-binding” — but pressure to conform is relentless. (We have seen this before with global warming pacts.) What is worrying is that the document does not distinguish between genuine migrants facing danger and those who might want to immigrate for economic reasons. All are free to migrate — indeed, by some readings, encouraged to migrate.

I am very annoyed that the Canadian media has not bothered to cover any of this. I think it is deliberate. If it is a good document — tell us that. If there are problems, what are the pitfalls? Primarily I believe they do not want people to know it is out there. Failing to cover the issue at all is what makes people paranoid. The formal signing happens next month.

    1. LindaL – I agree with you. This is an important issue. The Canadian media doesn’t report on things they don’t understand. They follow the liberals around attempting to curry favour and hopefully get a job with them.

  3. That’s only slightly less boring than real soccer. The only way it’s better is that it’s a lot easier to tell when the cars are faking injury.

    1. That was very, very good — a rare thing, a clear and logical argument. Thanks. Every Canadian needs to watch that — most especially Liberals.

    2. I see they had to shut off the comments on that video. I can just imagine how the NPCs would be howling in there.

  4. Watched Pierres/Fidel/some unknown roadies son saying he feels sorry for Alberta So Phuc ing mad Can’t finish

  5. I heard this the other day explaining the oil price differential.

The multinational oil companies are vertically integrated. They sell Canadian oil at a deeply discounted price to their American affiliate. The oil is then processed in the US at their facilities. All value is added. It is then sold into the market including Canada at market price.

    Who needs a pipeline?

    1. YOUR beloved PM, Donny.
You should change your name to Mark because that’s what Butts & Telford call you and your ilk, when they’re being polite.

      1. I’m pretty sure Don was being extremely sarcastic. Don is definitely not a Shiny Pony supporter.

  6. Forget pipelines, not a chance of a deal there but Shiny and company are bucking up media support with their $595 million in media bailout bucks. Commie tactics right there, they are now owners of the media. Freedom of the press is now a joke, you never bite the had that feeds ya.
