  7. Did she really have to be fired? In a sane world he can just cancel the interview if he’s that offended. All this does is confirm that the media is leftist but we already knew that. I’m just so sick of people having to be fired over their politics or momentary rudeness.

    1. Wrong thread I think. This firing is justified in that she proved an inability to perform the related to the job. Quite a bit different from someone who just disagrees with a position that is in no way related to the job.

Nothing but negatives and they seem to think that the thousands of people marching through Mexico should be on America’s welfare rolls.     The Turkish Islamic Cultural Federation (TICF) sent the letter on Friday seeking “a permanent ban of the Twitter of Mr. Geert Wilders… due to continuous publications on his Twitter account of messages, images and other content which is a display of hateful conduct.”

  12. I usually don’t watch tv as I haven’t had one in over 25 years but last evening I watched the ctv news with lisa la phlegm. It was an embarrassingly stupid drive by. 5 or 6 reporters in DC slagging Trump.

    WTF are these people thinking?? Lisa is dressed in combat fatigues railing on ad nauseam. Is this what Canadians want? We have no news of our own to report?

    The tall foreheads at ctv are looking mighty dim and if the results arn’t what they desperately want they are going to look like fools. Discusting

  14. David Frum wraps himself in all the liberal democracy flags since the 18th century in defending his performance against Steve Bannon. If this were baseball Bannon would be heading to Fenway Park while Frum would be running toward a rickety old wire fence to miss a fly-ball in a county park surrounded by corn fields.

    Frum’s self apology is telling.

    Frum wanted to tell people like Bannon “You will lose. You will discover what so many thugs, and bullies, and plunderers, and people who elevate themselves by subordinating and humiliating others have discovered before you: Liberal democracy is tougher than it looks. The cruel always believe the kind are weak. But human decency and goodness can also move human affairs. They will be felt. And today’s “populists” will follow their predecessors into […] history’s graveyard of discarded lies.”

    The problem for Frum is that Liberal democracy has turned into the cruel bully. This is why populism is so … popular. As Bannon predicts, populism can arise from either side, a Donald Trump (the current winner) or a Bernie Sanders. The reason for this is because Liberal democracy is failing us. The centrists not only don’t accomplish anything anymore, they actually count on that fact. To them, politics is a game of dodge ball. As long as they don’t get hit they get to stay in power. Look at Brazil. The population would rather vote for a perceived military dictatorship than endure one more year of Liberal democracy.

    Poor David Frum. Pulled from the benches of a very weak B-team. Of course he was going to lose.
