        1. You just made me listen to it again … all the way through … and Mick Taylor’s lilting guitar solo building into an orgasmic crescendo at the end with the piano’s time signature giving way to an acapella metronome tapping of the the snare drum rim … brilliant! The music tells the story better than the lyrics.

Time is ALL we have … and it waits for no one. If we are lucky … we have moments in our life where time HAS stood still. That fiery kiss from our first true love. Moments and memories with family. A work project or hobby that was “worth” the time investment. We have the power to stop time, to capture memories that simply cannot be destroyed. I pray that all my SDA friends have had, and continue to make such memories.

I just returned from my (only) daughters wedding in BC … where God smiled on the occasion with the most glorious weather ever … and the 100 guests all made beautiful memories for themselves, my daughter, her mother and I. A great TIME was had by all … which will now remain suspended forever as the clock inexorably ticks onward.

          1. I am having a little stint of nostalgia for the psychedelic sound … and this is right up there in the Pantheon of psychedelica!

However … my personal #1 Stones song of all time is …

In my opinion … the absolute PERFECT Rock and Roll song, with an intro-riff that knocks you off your feet … concluded with a Mick Taylor guitar jam and musical conversation with Bobby Keys blowing a mean sax solo … and Billy Preston’s organ laying out a melodic background. Perfection. The definitive ROCK song IMHO.

  1. And there was I thinking that “Bushy Porn” referred to George Bush or his son and some infidelity stories… but it turns out that… ewwwww, who wants to floss in the middle of having fun?

      1. Would not help if she did. She always had that ridden hard and put away wet look and appeal of a used up cheap whore.

    1. Are you kidding?? I LIKE women to look more natural down there! I’m not some closet pedo who needs it to be bare!

      1. Hey! Don’t blame me! I didn’t start the kiddie porn trend. I believe it was the “Director of Photography” on Stormy Daniels first porn film … back in the late 70’s

  2. I graduated from high school just over 45 years ago, I received my B. Sc. in 1977, and began grad studies two years later.

Nah. Nothing good happened in the 1970s….

    1. That one is a classic. Bits and pieces of it have been used in a number of movies and documentaries. I thought Jarre’s early work was terrific, but his later stuff came across to me as being too new-age flaky.

It’s no surprise, though, that Jarre is a talented musician. His father was film and TV composer Maurice Jarre (e. g., Lawrence of Arabia, Doctor Zhivago, The Professionals, Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome, The Man Who Would Be King, and Witness, as well as Shogun).

      1. After Equinox he seemed to go New Age pop which wasn’t all that good. But recently over the past few years he’s gone back to his roots me thinks. Check out the rest of his Oxygene series. Oxygene II and III and Oxygene Live in your Living Room.
