    1. If Democrats are going to embrace Moore, it’ll take a lot of them to do it.

As a friend of mine might well quip: “There’s no getting around Michael Moore. Not without a good long walk.”

  1. “Ellison’s father, Oracle co-founder Larry Ellison, is balking at any further investment in the studio after an initial outlay by him and his daughter of more than $200 million.”

The trouble with feminism is that you eventually run out of daddy’s money.

    1. As well, on msn news this morning, Frank Stronach, founder of Magna International is suing his daughter Belinda Stronach and other executives for misappropriation of company funds to their own private bank accounts. Other acts of malfeasance were also claimed. At one time, Frank Stronach adored his daughter and funded all of her lame adventures (I remember her restaurant “Belinda’s” from the early 80’s, which tanked after being empty most of the time for 2 years). It seems the “Daddies” are finally tired of wasting money.

    2. Oooh! Great Burn!

“The trouble with feminism is that you eventually run out of daddy’s money.”

  2. As the saying goes democrats dream about castles in the sky but Republicans live in them.I don’t care if the films make money Maybe so but Daddy cares

  3. Is it just me or has anyone else never heard of any of these movies? Note to self: don’t lend your daughter more than $200 million or you are a fool.

  4. Moore has not made a commercially successful film in 15 years. Capitalism: A Love Story, made in 2009, took in $25 million total (including international and video sales), and almost certainly lost money once marketing and distribution costs are accounted for.

At some point, Moore is going to fail to find investors even for the smallest budgets.

  5. I absolutely refuse to watch anything with john reilly since he did that repulsively offensive parody of Johnny Cash.
losing your elder brother to a saw mill accident is never comedy fodder except for the leftoids.
I did watch some of his stuff like ‘Chicago’ but not anymore. what a goddamm shythead.

  6. It appears that the Sergei Eisenstein of Hollywood’s leftist propaganda film producers had a female counterpart that ran out of money. Good thing this garbage is not state funded, yet, as Michael Moore probably would like.

  7. Great posted article, one that brightens my day (an all-day soaker here down East). The article as all the highlights of leftism gone awry: a multi-millionaire heiress-moneybags, Hollywood propaganda films, money wasted via cost overruns and zero consumer demand for hard-left drivel. One can close his or her eyes and read the same story about CBC News documentaries and National Film Board movies.

    1. Yes except for the fact that the tax payer is on the hook for those fiascoes. Now Blunder Boy wants to subsidize the rest of the media especially the print media. How to win friends and influence people in particular those that vote.

  8. I only hope the Hollywood libs keep cranking out more of the same. We deplorables who live in the real world can keep staying away — until the libs go bust!
And if you’re fed up with the usual Hollywood tripe, a film I’d highly recommend, especially if you know the history of the era: “The Death of Stalin” — a lot of black humour. It’s available on Netflix; rather too sophisticated for Hollywood.

    1. Thank you for posting my thoughts, now all I need to do is say … I agree with you! Let them $BLEED$ themselves dry! Like the $Billion dollar debacle that was HER campaign for POTUS.

  9. Hollywood is the cultural toilet bowel vortex of the institutional left where they are becoming increasingly irrelevant mostly making money from old comic book themes or losing money by barely disguising their propaganda within decreasing levels of entertainment. Feminism hasn’t made inherited wealth sustainable. It’s just a different gender than the normal rags to riches to rags theme. Frank Stronach should have clued in when Belinda showed her stuff years ago. Trudeau was smart enough to set up a trust (to protect his father’s wealth) for his idiot Spawn so brainless Canadians could adopt him as PM where he could blow the wealth of an entire nation.

  10. I’m sorry. It’s all my fault. I didn’t go see any of the movies mentioned but then I quit going to see the unending line of Hollywood garbage quite a few years ago so I see the problem being Hollywoods not mine.

A few months back my TV provider phoned to offer me a trial period with some newer movie channels. I told them that if I wanted to look at garbage I’d open the door under my sink. They didn’t get it so I hung up.

    1. Why should I watch most of the films nowadays when the plots are dreadful, nobody seems to know how to act any more, the dialog is an endless torrent of cuss words, and the whole presentation is insulting to one’s intelligence and completely tasteless?
