They ought to charge Soros and it really wouldn’t matter much what the outcome of the case was, it would bring into mainstream media coverage and discussion all the sordid facts of his operations. The wise guys would have to talk about what the godfather was all about. And it would take a lot of attention away from the inflated nonsense that passes for the “resistance” — a self-indulgent game for boomers who never read a history book, and uneducated younger liberals who never read any book apparently.

    So tired of all the false narratives and impatient to see justice handed to those who really deserve it. Clearly the President is playing a long game but I hope he doesn’t wait too long to play some offence. Soros and the Clintons have gotten away with so much that is far, far worse than anything the likes of Manafort have done, an unbalanced legal climate is unhealthy for any free society, but of course our own is even worse.

  4. Trump was in Billings Montana Thursday evening giving a speech to a packed arena. It was a rollicking rally as per Laura Ingraham on Fox News. He was passionate and witty. He listed the accomplishments his Administration has achieved thus far for Americans. He mocked his opposition. It was one of his best speeches. In the next course of campaigning for his second term the slogan will be “Keep America Great!”

He claims the hot American economy is his doing, as President, not Trump’s. He breaks with precedent, coming out like this.     1. I was going to post this news, but you beat me to it. The biased Reuters article mentions that the victim’s conservative party receives no free government air time, so the party has to rely on the social media and large rallies. The biased article says that the stabbing, as a result, will hurt the party, given the leader’s expected absence over the next two months. But the stabbing could backfire and give the conservative (not “far right”) party additional sympathy votes.

Ezra Levant has a good commentary out today (yesterday?) speculating that Trudeau and company are deliberately sabotaging the free trade talks, and the current negotiations are nothing but show for the largely pro-Liberal media in Canada. Reading the respective news pages from CBC News and the Globe and Mail — perhaps the most pro-Liberal of the national cartel — suggest that everything and anything Trump says is “bad”, and anything and everything Trudeau says is “good”.

    Anyways months ago Andrew Coyne — a Trudeau supporter — wrote a perceptive column suggesting that Trudeau and company were so far left wing, akin to the anti-free trade voices of the 1980s, they truly didn’t want a trade agreement. This column was written when Trudeau came out with his infamous “feminist” trade position.

    So we have to wait and see. Conservative writers out there, the few that they are, call for any sort of settlement, to avoid a bad recession. I suspect along with others that Trudeau might call a snap election if and when the trade talks fail, and run against Trump. Of course after paying off his Liberal cronies in the national media.

      The Quebec election is October 1st, so is Trump’s deadline for a trade deal. The Americans are demanding access to our dairy markets, Truedupe is whipsawed between protecting his dairy cronies or his auto cronies, but can’t back both.

      So will call a snap election to be Capt Canada. The fly in his ointment is if Trump hits Canada with auto export duties during the campaign. But he must take that chance as his anti-Americanism is the only thing shoring up his support. He would like to consolidate his power before Kenney kicks leftie butt in the AB 2019 election.

      So no trade deal that gives US access to our dairy markets, or Truegrope will not be able to balance his cronies.

    1. Concerning. Some universities are also objecting to Ford’s call to develop a free speech policy. I think it is a good idea since expressions of free speech are frequently hampered on university campuses. The policies should bring clarity and prevent arbitrarily shutting people down.
