      Let’s see now… Canada has a population of about 35 million all up; girls below the age of 18 would appear to add up to around five million or so (that’s newborns to 17 year-olds).

      Gosh, this must mean every girl below 18 is being forced into marriage at least two-three times a year, every year until they reach 19!

      I’m shocked! Why weren’t we told? Does the Toronto Star know about this? The CBC?

  7. Sorry, but I couldn’t give a shit about 10 yr old girls in cultures where this has been their normal going on for millennia now. It is practiced by these girls mothers about as enthusiastically as by these girls fathers and is probably not going to cease for millennia more.

    But I do care about these stunted cultures importing their child-abusing proclivities here. IMO, if the few conservative journalists in this country truly wanted to break out and be noticed by the mainstream, they would relentlessly hound and challenge the CBC and their media peers for their ongoing collusion to protect these ‘shithole’ cultures here in Canada. It is well past time to stop the intense brainwashing going on in this country. If you have any problem with FGM, honor-killing or child-marriage being imported here, you are simply deemed a racist and/or Islamophobe. The Liberal/MSM cabal is enabling these ‘barbarians’, and we ALL saw how irrationally Justine reacted to that honest and accurate description.

    Maybe Scheer should pick this as his ‘hill to die on’…. since he can’t seem to find another one. Of course, I wouldn’t want him to jeopardize his spot at the trough, or anything that drastic.(Sometimes when I watch Scheer, I get the impression he only ran for the CPC leadership because the party promised him he would never have to worry about being the PM).

  9. The expected norm is that only young girls will be married off to older men. But with gay marriage being acceptable and legal in “progressive” countries, why doesn’t anyone consider that young people of either sex could be married off to older people of any sex? This seems to me to be a can of worms that no one has considered and, if they have, do not wish to address.

  12. Maybe it is just me but I don’t see a moral high ground here in the west from which we can impose our values on others regarding marriage. As has been shown by the gay marriage debacle any form of marriage is acceptable if clocked in the right PC jargon. I suspect the real target of this group is not child marriage but heterosexual marriage.

  13. As others have alluded above, what happened to multiculturalism?

    There are often recruiters for Plan near the C train station when I’m going home. Sometimes I have to wait 20-30 minutes for a bus, and I’ll talk with them. I start by asking if they support multiculturalism and they react like bobbleheads. I then ask if some of the countries that they deal with feature slavery, rape, and incest as common. They say “unfortunately, yes”. I then ask if Plan deals with the governments and leaders in those countries, and they say yes. After a few minutes on lighter items I ask them if they recognize that they are supporting evil. They usually look confused, so I take them back through what they’ve said. A couple have walked away with troubled expressions, but most just don’t get it.

Should I give the venacular expression relating to women and child bearing or do you already know it? (Old enough to……………., old enough to.breed.)

    they show a white girl, but we know child marriage is not a white people thing, it is brown and black people /cultures that are into child marriage. Why not show us a brown or black girl or better yet show the brown / black adults responsible for the mistreatment of the girl ?
