Absolutely true, and virtually universal throughout public schools. I fight my wife on this point, because the public schools are run 100% on estrogen, and have tremendous difficulty dealing with even trace amounts of testosterone in little boys. They would LOVE to chemically castrate most all the little boys.
My children’s elementary school principal BEGGED me to help supervise the boys at lunch recess, where the impromptu football games routinely devolved into mayhem and fights. I was a well-know Dad-volunteer coach for all my kids sports teams (including my daughter’s) … and self-employed … living only a few blocks from the school, so I was an easy target for the Principal. The 100% female teaching staff just couldn’t deal with the boys whatsoever. They had no problem, however with the girls (most of whom spent recess playing “prancing ponies”. Yeah, the boys were a handful. They NEEDED rules and structure to prevent bullying in all its forms.
IMHO … our schools need an affirmative-action program for hiring MEN to become public school teachers. I would be surprised if there were even 2% men employed as elementary school teacher in all my local school districts.
If you think the kids are the problem…
“One in six U.S. adults reported taking a psychiatric drug, such as an antidepressant or a sedative, in 2013, a new study found…”

Bingo,
Not near enough men in the classrooms…its nearly 90 percent women…at my school district…
and the spouse that teaches the special needs kids…many of the parents had/HAVE drug issues…like 9 out of 10….taking drugs and having/raising kids is a losing prop…
lastly,
a lot of kids who struggle with English are shuttled down Special Education rout. This takes resources away from kids with real issues…the spouse has to burn a lot of calories here, instead of with the kids with the “medically documented” issues…
