The FBI “failed to preserve” five months worth of text messages exchanged between Peter Strzok and Lisa Page, the two FBI employees who made pro-Clinton and anti-Trump comments while working on the Clinton email and the Russia collusion investigations.
The disclosure was made Friday in a letter sent by the Justice Department to the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee (HSGAC).
“The Department wants to bring to your attention that the FBI’s technical system for retaining text messages sent and received on FBI mobile devices failed to preserve text messages for Mr. Strzok and Ms. Page,” Stephen Boyd, the assistant attorney general for legislative affairs at the Justice Department, wrote to Wisconsin Sen. He said that texts are missing for the period between Dec. 14, 2016 and May 17, 2017.
[…] The end date of the missing Strzok-Page texts is also significant. That’s because May 17 is the day when Mueller was appointed to take over the FBI’s probe of possible collusion between the Trump campaign and Russian government.

  2. If a private citizen were to do what the FBI, IRS, and all the other Obama-era government agencies have done in regards to preserving and handing over information to investigators…?
    They’d be under the prison, charged and convicted for obstruction of justice. If the FBI lies to you during an investigation, that’s a bona-fide tactic, allowed under law. If you “lie” to the FBI as a subject of investigation, due to a failure to keep minute details of your statement straight? Prison. Ask Martha Stewart.
    This is the sort of thing that leads to governments losing the consent of the governed, and a lot of bureaucrats decorating lamp posts once the shooting starts.

  5. No need to disband the FBI. Just modify the Roman practice of annihilation.
    Just fire them 90% of them at random. Then permanently reduce the size to about 30% of current size. Employees may apply an interview for open positions if they wish. Make certain that all understand that politicizing government agencies results in annihilation and the loss of cushy government jobs and benefits. Then they will keep an eye on each other.
    Repeat for all politicized agencies.

I’m guessing that at least half the GOP are also not prepared to see the first half black POTUS in an orange jump suit. The same majority is also OK with going after Trump on anything and everything. As Canadians living under the absurdity of the Spawn, we should refrain from throwing stones but those of us on either side of the 49th parallel shouldn’t be too loose in calling out other countries as “shitholes”.

    Comey testified behind closed doors that the FBI knew Loretta & Debbie had communicated and that was why he would have to ask that a special counsel be appointed ( He felt that this would not be fair to Hillary).. The FBI LATER leaked a fake story to the MSM that the Russians had faked the whole Story….

    Roberts had an adoption, or child custody issue resolved in his favour around 2006.
    That marker was called in during the “Obamacare is a tax” lawsuit.

  34. not much value in an agency that is so corrupt that one cannot believe anything they produce. Any jury deliberating on any case where info came from the FBI would be remiss if they did not throw the case out.
